We arrived late after the Niner game ( loss to the Seahawks). Service was friendly and the place was obviously a local favorite with plenty of fans watching the game. Restaurant has a sports bar feel and was clean. Our pizza was delicious. Crust was thin and nice and crispy. Vegan cheese was available and veggie pizza was great. The samosa bites were tasty. Only tried the pizza because... pregnancy cravings have started in. Did I know it was basically a bar? I did not. Did I know it was also karaoke time? I did not but I welcomed it! I've been wanting to try this place for a while so when my husband said let's get a pizza for lunch I suggested this place and we decided to order and pick up. We arrived shortly after opening to pick up our online ordered pizza. The owner was actually there making pizzas and asked if we were picking up. He continued turning our pizzas in the oven and we had a nice chat with him while he cooked. I was pleasantly surprised that my special requests on my online order were executed perfectly. White sauce on the 500F combo side with no mushrooms and an all meat on the other side. Doing a half and half pizza was a great way to try more at once. Well this place makes a great pizza and I see why they have great reviews. It was hot and fresh, the crust was cooked perfect and the toppings were tasty and plentiful. After driving by and seeing this spot so many times, we finally decided to stop in for dinner. There's a nice bar, and some tables and booths for seating. There are also some TVs and we were able to catch the basketball game while we ate. There is an extensive beer menu with lots of local brew options. We started with a couple of beers and some wings. We opted for six mango habanero and six traditional buffalo. Both had great flavor and we very much enjoyed them. The menu had many choices for pizza and we had a hard time deciding. Ultimately, we decided on a good ol' combination with traditional crust. The pizza was perfect. The crust was crispy and the toppings were plenty. We left with a couple of leftover pieces. This place was a Pizza Hut when I was a kid and while I frequent Whole Foods, I never thought about going inside or ordering from here. One night we wanted pizza and didn't want the typical Domino's, but we also didn't want to drive to midtown to get good pizza. We opted to try 500F on a Sunday night and were greeted by a very kind waitress who told us they had the best pizza in all of Sacramento. My parents got there early and had a huge table ready for us, but it wouldn't have really mattered because there were tons of open tables. There's a decent size bar, with a little lounge area, and they have a lot of different beers on tap. We ordered pepperoni - my go to, and a veggie. They came out fairly quickly, but again it wasn't busy. It was really good and tasted fresh...best pizza in Sacramento...probably not, but a great option in the area. We've since ordered take out a few times and really like the BBQ chicken pizza. The various toppings cover an entire slice and it's a nice mix from the usual pepperoni. There's a pick up area in the back of the restaurant where you can go and tell them your name and pay. Whenever we've ordered pick up it's always ready when we arrive. I will say...it's pretty dark in there and the ambiance is average, but it is a pizza place in a strip mall so I wouldn't expect much more than that! read more

This pizza place is a hidden gem. The crust is light and crunchy. I built my own with sausage, mushrooms, and anchovies. All of the toppings are evenly applied including the anchovies. The garlic breadstick appetizer for one is enough for four people. The ranch dressing is good not sure if it is house made but it has a vinegary zing which I like. Amazing service! It's been.a terrible week. Like family and friend dying kind of terrible. We were trying to go to pizza with my mother-in-law, who has some post-stroke aphasia which frustrates her and can be hard for people trying to help her, and she just lost her partner of 40 years. It's been so terrible. This was the first time we were going to try to sit in a restaurant since he died, and she picked a placed she'd been to with him before. We checked, open until 10:00. Last straw: the pizza place was closed during its posted hours. Drained from this past week and hungry, we looked for another place to at least get food. Enter bartender Gary M and 500F Pizza. We were welcomed 15 minutes before closing in a friendly way. Gary made MIL a drink that was exactly right despite not have all the ingredients (she says it was perfect!), and humored her need for a short straw. He didn't know that her partner used to make sure she had a straw that was just right, and how much she misses him. He didn't know that she had a panic attack about how she could live without her partner earlier. He didn't know that this was our first attempt at some normal activity. He just saw an older woman with a strange request, found some scissors, and cut her straw to the length she wanted kindly and with a laugh. He was patient with her forgetting words, and seemed happy to help her. And the pizza was great! As was my beer and my mother-in-law's Manhattan despite no sweet vermouth. Gary gave us all hope and joy today. He was doing his job, but with such genuine humanity that it made all the difference. Thanks. read more

I will say this place has delicious pizza and wings. The crust is chefs kiss has a good crunch on it but not overly crunchy and you can hold it up without it flopping down. Many choices for toppings and overall good pizza. The wings are good size and cooked just right. However it is a little pricey for pizza. I also think they need more large seating areas for larger groups. The lounge style section is not ideal. A section where you have bigger tables for larger groups would be a better suggestion than the couch area that takes up a lot room. I would come back in a smaller group. read more

Went here to pick up a Christmas Eve order for the fam and the people were friendly and very accommodating. The sports bar was very chill with a bar and a good amount of TVs. We've been coming to 500 F for several years now. The customer service is always good as is the food. A bit disappointed that we are no longer able to split a 24 piece chicken wing order with two different types of flavors. I'm not sure what the big deal is other than they want to make more money out of having two 12 piece orders that ends up being around five dollars more in total which can actually go for something else on the menu. Its a hole in the wall pizza place....but a fun atmosphere. This rating is more based on the overall experience and ambiance, as my personality may sound rather boring. My school team that I coach finished our season with a victory, so we were all in good spirits. Parents kept insisting on buying me a drink, so I was happy to oblige. The bartender was very friendly, and was quick not only with beers, but making our drinks as well. Yay for speed, taste, and customer service. They have a lot of cool looking pizzas and appetizers, but I embraced my inner Kevin McCalister and was happy with a cheese pizza just for me. I also had parents offering to pay for me, so I didn't want to order pricier things. I was happy.... We called in our order for dine-in about 20 minutes before arriving and when we arrived, our pizza still hadn't been started and we had to wait another 30 minutes. We have seen this place plenty of times in the Whole Foods shopping center but never bothered to try it. We were looking for GF pizza to order and this place had high ratings so we gave it a try! Good think we did! It was some of the best GF pizza I have had and will def recommend them to anyone and will order from them again. Fantastic pizza! Lots of TVs to watch multiple games, plus a comfy lounge area with couches and a gas fireplace. Lots of great beer on tap with a full bar. For someone who isn't a big pizza fan, I sure do find myself writing a lot of these reviews. My husband and his love for pizza...::insert eyeroll here::...I've been to 500F twice now and it tastes just like the previous Round Table that was here before. The first time we visited, I ordered the Butter Chicken pizza because I wanted to try something different. It was tasty and I definitely thought it was better than the other pizza we ordered. I loved the cilantro and curry flavor. The last time we visited, we ordered a half Chicken Delight and half Ultimate Italian and it was just okay. Like I said, it tastes just like Round Table - just a different name on the sign. I remember the owner when it was Round Table and like other Yelpers said, he was very rude. He and my husband exchanged words once before and we never came back. He is the still the owner now, but we haven't had much interaction with him - his wife is lovely though! Another thing about this place, like most pizzerias, it is a hot spot for little leaguers and Boy Scouts so kids are constantly running past your tables and bumping into your chairs. Kids will be kids - but their parents need to remind them that 500F is not a Chuck E Cheese! It's a convenient spot if you're wanting pizza, but in my opinion nothing else sets it apart from the next! Maybe once they get their supposed bar area up and running it'll feel a little different. Pizza was really good. We enjoyed the butter chicken and BBQ chicken pizzas. They seem kind of disorganized. This was our second time...first we dined in, second was take out. The woman in front of me had been eating an hour for her pizza. Our order ran about 15 mins late . I waited at the register for someone to greet me, take payment, etc. Staff was right there and walked right by me without saying anything. They were definitely busy and so I don't think j they were ignoring me just to ignore me. They were doing stuff, presumably for other orders. However, it's a good idea to greet a patron and let them know you'll be with them shortly. read more

Lots of families and a fun and festive atmosphere with large tables and plenty of sports on the TVs. The service here however, was not the best, server was distracted and I'm probably particular, but I appreciate a paper menu vs trying to read it on my phone. . No luck there but at least the beer and pizza menu was extensive. The pizzas were both very, very good. One was a Hawaiian with jalapeños and another was a vegetarian Greek style. Both were amazingly good. In summary the quality of the pizzas, and wide beer selection, as well as the friendly family atmosphere and lots of Sports on TVs make it a 4 star experience. read more
