Pancake platter with no cheese and extra bacon potatoes on the side

I come here every morning for breakfast. I get the pancake platter. The food is always fresh, amazing and the service is great. I highly recommend calling in to order or coming in and ordering.

so, I didn't know this place existed next to my office until my coworker took me over here. she said she discovered this place while looking for a close lunch spot. she said she really enjoys the chicken Parmesan spaghetti w/ tomato sauce - comes with house salad and garlic bread. I wasn't feeling her choice, so I opted for the all day breakfast of some French toast with scrambled eggs. I didn't know they were going to pour syrup all over the French toast, but it soaked into it the eggs and tomato salsa in the container. I'd recommend the French toast, but ask for no syrup poured over. I had to throw everything else away as it was an oily sweet mess. I'd definitely come back to try something else, hopefully without the extra syrup!

A little hole in the wall in a corporate building but it was very tasty and worth the money!

Came to Boqueria during DC's Winter Restaurant Week and had a great time! It was a good deal too,…read moreand I left so full. Started off with the "Taste of Spain" which included Pan con tomate, Aged manchego, Jamón Ibérico de bellota, and Boquerones con naranja. Since I couldn't eat the latter two, the server said they could double the first two, which was so appreciated. For my first course, I chose the Escalivada (fire-roasted eggplant, red pepper, labne yogurt, fresh herbs, olive oil, served with focaccia) and Croquetas de setas (creamy mushroom croquettes with truffle aioli). The Escalivada was tasty, but more on the tangy side; the bread was more crostini-like than focaccia. The Croquetas were so good: creamy, savory, umami inside and crunchy outside. Next, I got the Zanahorias (spiced baby carrots, sweet and sour reduction, orange honey yogurt, mojo verde, Marcona almonds) and Patatas bravas (crispy potatoes, salsa brava, pimentón, garlic aioli). When I tell you those carrots had me dreaming about them later, I'm not kidding- all of the different flavor combos paired with the perfectly cooked carrots were amazing. The Patatas bravas was pretty classic- crispy potatoes with creamy aioli and tangy tomato sauce. Finally, for dessert, I had the Tarta de naranja (orange olive oil cake, citrus-honey yogurt), and my friend had the Tarta vasca de chocolate (Basque chocolate cheesecake, macerated strawberries, chantilly cream). Both were tasty, but the Tarta de naranja was so good: perfectly dense cake, refreshing citrus, and great contrast with the yogurt. For my drink, I got the Forget-Me-Not refrescante (butterfly pea flower, thyme, honey, lime, ginger beer). Very interesting drink, not sure I'd order again but it was good. Service was great, super willing to accommodate my vegetarian dietary restrictions. Ambiance is really nice, very modern and elegant. Very accessible by metro, just a short walk from the station. 10/10 would recommend!

But anyways Paella was delicious, the flavor profile was super fun. We got the short rib and seafood, and we all preferred seafood as the short rib was a bit heavy. The fish in it was crispy and so good, especially with the green sauce- nice herby and refreshing contrast. The figs were interesting and fun. But not that filling... I did not like the patatas... sauce was good but the potato itself had none of its own seasoning and was tough. Yes crispy but not pillowy inside. The octopus was delicious and super tender. Would come back for seafood paella and charcuterie.

My family and I were craving tacos and searched yelp for a good taco place. We decided on this…read moreplace since it was close and the reviews seemed ok. I'm really glad I took my daughter who speaks fairly good Spanish with me to place a take out order. Truthfully, you need to be a native Spanish speaker to really order well here. That said, my daughter managed to communicate well enough. These tacos are absolutely the best I've had here in northern Virginia. We ordered both beef and chicken tacos. The place was packed so it took a little bit of time to make our order. Honestly, they made it very quickly given we ordered 7 orders of 3 tacos so I wasn't surprised. The tacos come in an order if 3 tacos with a lovely fresh, spicy green salsa and limes wedges. They use corn tortillas that are very fresh and a nicely seasoned meat with a little fresh grated radish and cilantro. It was wonderful! Even the pickiest one of my kids ate one and said it was fantastic! Honestly, we've been here three times in a month now. It's cheap, good and really nice. Would taco again.

The reason why is because the food is dry and the meat was stringy and hard and the sides were a bit too burnt. The plantains were dry and a bit too bland. The pupusas were pretty good and cheesy but they were very oily so make sure to dab the oil with the napkins. The music is loud and it's a very quick and easy fast food type restaurant. The tables were kind of dirty, but I think they do the best in regards to making sure things were clean. The front cashier really only understands Spanish but I came with a friend who is from PR, so the transaction was fast and easy. We didn't really know what this white sauce was though; it tasted like a garlic mayo, but it didn't really go with the dish itself. Nonetheless, we were pretty full from this meal, so I wouldn't say that it is terrible but it wasn't great either.
