We heard she yelled at other coworkers so we think she is the owner. We usually don't give a tip for owner. Service was so so as well. Her attitude was ok until we asked for the check. She asked us for leaving the tip. We didn't want to leave the tip for the owner so we said we didn't have any cash left and her attitude immediately changed. We're newish to the area, and we have been looking for great Asian food. Wanting to support a small business during the Covid-19 shelter in place, so we tried this dumpling restaurant, and it did not disappoint. We ordered the Pork & Scallion Buns, Pork, Shrimp, Chives & Egg dumplings, and the Scallion noodles. The pork buns were huge for only 7.50. Even one was plenty filling. Very good flavor. The dumplings were a hit and everyone enjoyed their freshness. The noodles were the surprise winner because they look rather plain, but they were very delicious. We had ordered online which seemed to work, but next time I plan to order in person. When we arrived the order was waiting to be picked up. We drove to a nearby park, and all of the dishes were still hot like they were just served to us in a restaurant. We'll definitely be coming back in the future. read more

The FOOD IS GREAT but they are seriously swamped and short-staffed at the moment. This is why they closed just 2 days after soft opening: They literally ran out of food!!! I went early (around 5) after reopening & ordered Xiao Long Bao & Yang Chu fried rice. The restaurant filled up VERY QUICKLY. It sits no more than 10 tables/30 customers. Even before I finished enjoying my food, I was asked (kindly) to make way for another party.. I would hold off before making my next trip; To Go is the best way to go. read more

Food is so yummy we ordered a number of things but the show stoppers were the beef and broccoli it was delicious fresh and the Quantity was rather large for the price, next the dumplings like wow so flavorful and soft I was really impressed. First time trying this place as it sounded good and reviews were decent. Ordered chicken dumplings, veggie dumplings, & beef buns but ended up getting pork buns instead when picked up order. After first few bites flavors were not good and stomach started hurting but tried to give it a chance but only got worse. To make a long story short my husband and I ended up with horrible stomach pain, diarrhea, and throwing up all night with the taste of the food still in our mouth. It was a horrible feeling that I never want to feel that pain or throwing up feeling ever again and I hope no one else has to. I haven't thrown up since I was a kid and it is way worse to do so when you're an adult. I'm hoping my kids aren't affected. If the food doesn't taste right just stop eating and throw it away. Spent over $30 on this place. Never again. My stomach still hurts and I'm worried to eat or even drink anything idk what was in that food but something did not sit well at all and my husband body & my body rejected it in the worst way. My granddaughter and I had our first lunch on Friday . We ordered pork and cabbage dumplings , veggie dumplings and Kung Pao chicken . My granddaughter thought her veggie dumplings were better than Mr Dumpling . My pork dumplings were good . The Kung pao chicken was fabulous ! Service was good , I did have to ask about rice . I tried this place for the first time tonight, I has the Lamb skewer, cucumber salad and pan fried dumplings. I loved the Lamb Skewers the Dumplings were really good too, I didn't like the cucumber salad I'm used to the sweet and spicy one with Thai Chili's, sugar and rice vinegar. My wife and I are amateur dumpling enthusiasts who search for both local and well known dumpling restaurants. Dumpling Village is some of the best. We've had their pork xia long bao, beef noodle soup, and scallion noodles this past visit. The xia long bao rivals that of even a place like din tai fung. The dough is just the perfect thickness, the broth is savory and delightfully flavorful, the pork itself is delicious and offers just enough in each bite. The beef noodle soup comes in a large portion and can be a meal in itself. The broth is equally flavorful with the vegetables and spices not overpowering easy to sip and enjoy just as is. The beef is tender and will easily fall apart for each bite making for a good combination with the broth and noodles. My favorite though, the scallion noodles. Other places make the mistake of over salting, or drenching the noodles in oil. These however were perfect. The flavor is unlike anything I've had before, I practically cleaned the bowl it came in. Overall Dumpling Villiage is truely a rancho gem. The service is friendly, fast and attentive, the food is great and the prices reasonable and well worth the quality. If you like dumplings and are wondering if this is good, or want to try something new. Wonder no more, go and eat!! P.S. next visit I will be sure to take some pictures to share. read more

It wasn't too busy during the weekdays, got seated instantly. Lot of food to order from. Hot dinner dishes like orange chicken/beef, pork fried rice, coconut shrimp, ect., or soups and ramen, with nearly a dozen to pick from, as well as dumplings and other fun side dishes. Definitely need to got at least 2-3 times to try most of the food on the menu which is a lot for such a small kitchen and restaurant. Food is fresh as can be, dumplings were hot of course so wait a good minute before eating, food came fast and hot, they messed up on the number of dumplings and the chef came to us from the kitchen to deliver the last 2 and an extra for the inconvenience. The fried food was perfectly crispy but a bit chewy in the thicker end of the meat pie we ordered. The lamb skewers were perfectly cooked and seasoned. For the side dishes (dumplings/meat pie), most of the meat is was similar in texture and taste, but tasty all together with the sauces. Price wasn't bad and best for 4-6 people to share. read more

I want so much to give this place a much higher rating because it looks promising, the ambience is great and the food was great. My daughter and I went for lunch on grand opening day. But for the fact that the doors were open and there were 3 parties already there, it didn't feel much like a grand opening. No greeting to anyone coming in, and had to figure out if it was self-seating or hosted. It was whatever, because there was only one person receiving and serving. Needless to say, he was overwhelmed. There was no order, as the couple who came after us started getting their food before they even took our order, and our seat was right next to the register. We must have waited close to half hour to get the first installment of our order. When we asked if we can order to go, the server said, "Can you wait 15 minutes before you order, we're really busy right now. You should have told me earlier." I wish they had treated their grand opening as one and strived harder to impress their customers by hiring professional servers. Maybe they also needed help in the kitchen. Especially after they advertised it! On the good side, we totally enjoyed the food and wanted to share. Serving size for each order was more than adequate. Xiao long bao was juicy and flavorful, worth the price. Shrimp and pork wonton soup was excellent and had good amount of well stuffed wontons, presented very well. The salt and pepper pork ribs were tiny well-seasoned fried bites that were not at all greasy. Took leftovers to work for others to try and they raved about it. Sizzling beef plate was also excellent. I really want this place to succeed because their offerings are worth coming back to, but I dread the service. Nothing personal towards the individual, I'm sure he's a nice guy. But given the attention they made with the menu, and the decor, they should have given as much importance to their service and how they can meet the needs of their customers and not the other way around. read more
