Would highly recommend the taro tea with mango jelly and boba! 75% sweetness was perfect. It's served a bit warm on the bottom so make sure you mix it well before putting your straw in. Brown sugar milk tea was also pretty good but I loved the Thai tea with lychee jelly much more. Super cute interior with board games also available. read more

Happy that there is a boba place in this area! Got take out the first time and it was pretty good! We like the boiled dumplings most, then pan fried, then deep fried. Pretty flavorful and the dipping sauces are so good, especially the ponzu if you like that flavor. The tea is really good and when you say 50% sweetness, they do 50% and it's not too sweet. The star and heart jellies are unique to only this place - we haven't seen any other places in STL do them. The workers are very nice. The food came out very quickly. It's a cute shop and the art on the walls is very cute, too. It did get quite busy when we went to dine-in so we had to wait for a table to open up since they didn't have enough chairs for the bar by the door or outdoor seating. read more

Cute CUTE little restaurant - very clean, cute decor, with Chinese artwork sprinkled throughout. Sweet owner who was very helpful with suggestions. I had the steamed Pork Buns and pan-fried Pork w/Chinese veggies (be sure to add their homemade Sweet Chili sauce - BOMB!) Daughter had the Beef Ramen and she loved it. She also ordered the Tiramisu Milk tea w/50% sugar and it was Mahvalous! Very flavorful, nice size portions. Cute place, nice ambience. Terrible food. The red bean paste dumplings are in a fried wonton wrapper and covered in chocolate sauce. The dumplings are mediocre and bland. Prices are reasonable but the food is extremely mediocre. Frozen is much better. read more

So excited this place is finally opened! With not that many options in the area for boba tea,I was excited when I saw the sign come up. And I was not disappointed!!! Fantastic place! The pork ramen bowl was comforting and visually pleasing. The flavors were well balanced and the portion size was perfect. My teenager enjoyed a pan seared leek dumpling, which are bigger than the normal dumplings and resembles a hand pie. We were there an hour before they closed and then atmosphere was very relaxing. The soft lighting and music juxtaposed against the fun decor make it a gently stimulating environment. The man who took our order was helpful in his suggestions and attentive to his job. I have been wanting to try Dumplings & Tea for the last few weeks since I noticed the dumpling pictures in my Yelp feed! I made it in a couple of days ago. It's a big menu and this space has been a lot of different restaurants. I was there for dumplings so I ordered 8 pieces of dumplings to try all of the different filling flavors. It was dinner so I wanted something else. I asked the lady at the register what their best-selling item is other than the dumplings. She said Crab Rangoon. She was very enthusiastic about it so I went with that. They give you a plastic cup and a number and direct you to take a seat. A few minutes later she dropped off a refillable water bottle. A few minutes after that someone else brought out the Crab Rangoon. These were fresh and hot and the sweet chili sauce for dipping (unmentioned on the menu) was good. They were a little greasy and the grease unfortunately is extra noticeable as it sits on the matte black serving plates they are using. It was at this point I realized there were no utensils or napkins on my table. I went up to the counter and retrieved a fork, chopsticks, and a small stack of very thin napkins. There was a long pause and then my dumplings came out. I was given a set of chopsticks at this time. So I must say these didn't look like the dumplings I have seen in the photos. Maybe it was my fault for ordering pan fried but again these were greasy. I had brought a paper menu to the table so I could match the colors up with the filling flavors but other than the one with shrimp filling they all tasted the same. Not bad, just the same. Also I thought the dough on them was a little thick. The dipping sauce was soy with some minced garlic. They had gotten about 5 orders all back to back and it seemed it was a little more than they're used to. I'd return but I'm not in a rush. I wanted to love it the way everyone else has. read more

I really wanted to give this place a better review. That said, this one of the very few restaurants to serve Chinese street food in the St. Louis. The Rou Jia Mo (they call it a Chinese hamburger) filling was over cooked, there was no fresh bite to the dish. Typically, onions and other filling is fresh and crunchy. That was pretty disappointing. I had the bao, but again I did not consider it to be stand out. I hope this place survives though. Zero flavored broth I asked for spicy oil did not get any and the siracha and soy sauce only reason my broth has flavor. I was clearly unimpressed with tonkatsu portion size or my father's beef shank with three slices of thin roast beef. My children got udon and the meat sizes were less than a Taco Bell taco meat portion size of a small taco for a bowl of like over seasoned with pure sesame oil. The msg was so strong in the food it makes you thirsty so you drink your powdered drink. Zero out of Five stars go to Olive for better real authentic Asian food experience. Overall a great place!! I've had a few things here so far, and all have been really good. The traditional pork bao dumplings are amazing. I recommend getting a side of sweet chili sauce to go with them. All of the dumplings are great too. I've tried their strawberry boba milk tea, which was okay, but overly sweet. My friend & I ate here for the first time and were so excited to try a new place. There was no one in the restaurant at this time around noon. We were told to order through the QR Code scanner so we sat ourselves at a table and proceeded to do so. Apparently you have to setup an account to be able to use their QR code and it took us awhile to do this and to our surprise this lady approached our table and said to go by the register to place our order. We ordered Red Bean Dumpling. This was deep fried and the wonton wrapper was overcooked and toasty almost like eating pork skins. Did not like it. We also ordered Traditional Pork Bun. A piece of round smashed pork was inside the steamed wonton. No sauce came with it. It had no taste, did not like this either. I definitely had better ones. Beef Shank Ramen was also ordered and this was good! We also ordered Fruit Tea and Taro Smoothie with Boba. Taste was questionable on the Taro Smoothie. We started with our drinks and noticed that the Taro Smoothie had a white mixture on top. I asked the lady about it and was told it was whip cream. I have ordered Taro from Kung Fu, Tea Lux, Honeybee and not once did it had any whip cream on top of it. They at least could have mentioned that whip cream would be added. I would have gladly said NO thank you! I asked if they could re-make it. She called the gentleman to speak to me and I was told only a little bit was added on top of the Taro Smoothie. He said next time you order just say no whip cream. How am I supposed to know they would add whip cream? They were adamant that there was no recourse to this so I go back to our table thinking maybe I'll get used to the taste. As I continue to drink i began to taste something sour and the boba was hard. I drank a little bit of this and decided it was not good at all. We left this place feeling uncertain about the service nor the lack of concern for my complaint. When I got to my car, I called and the same lady answered the phone and I asked to speak to the owner. She said I am the owner. I then proceeded to tell her about my complaint about the Taro Smoothie. This time I said I had just left your restaurant and it wasn't just about the whip cream. I explained to her the issues I had with this drink. She did not say a word nor acknowledge me. She stayed silent or maybe just hung up the phone. I know she spoke very good English so it's not a communication barrier. Once I got home, I again called the restaurant and this time they must see my phone number, no one answered the phone or maybe she just disconnected my call. There are many places now opening and serving Ramen and also Milk Tea drinks. I will never go back to this restaurant again nor will I recommend it. We wanted to try something new, so gave a shot to this restaurant. Overall food was acceptable, but menu labels were incredibly misleading. For example, we ordered a tonkatsu udon. But, the actual food we got was stir fried noodle with pork and veggie with no broth (shown in the photo), which I don't believe anybody would call tonkatsu or udon. We took it to a server and she "explained" that pork was equivalent to tonkatsu in the US. Surprise!!! Food was edible, but we were incredibly unhappy with misleading label and poor service. If you go there, please note that what you would be served may not match your expectation. I wouldn't recommend here or return. read more

I decided to give this new place a try. I'm fairly tolerant but the smell of feces in the restaurant was awful. Had to move away from the very full trash can after ordering and sitting down. The server brought our food out but no cutlery or napkins or straws. It's basically serve yourself so not sure why a tip is necessary? The pork buns were average but no sauce for dipping. The potstickers were just ok served with a tiny bowl of sauce. No spice whatsoever. The tonkatsu ramen was actually pork belly ramen. I asked for an explanation since I ordered the tonkatsu. The owner came out and tried to school me on tonkatsu being what I was served. I am very familiar with Japanese cuisine and this person clearly had no idea. She was very cold and matter of fact. No personality at all. The shrimp ramen had no flavor according to my son who ordered it. Tea was average. I noticed the napkins were empty and the owner walked right on by not refilling the napkin holder. Another customer had to ask.
