It was all great. Brisket was nice and moist with good bark and smoke flavor. Turkey was great, moist and tender. Jalapeño sausage was good, had better. The Mac and cheese was really good but the cucumber salad was delicious. I could've made a meal just on the cucumber salad. The stuffed jalapeño was really good too. This is a great place!! Prices were good too.

This was my first time at Duncan's. From what I understand they have been here for years. I gotta say it's not a bad little BBQ place. It's in rural east Texas where there aren't a lot of restaurant options so this was a nice find. There isn't a lot of seating inside but there's plenty of covered patio seating. I had a loaded baked potato with pulled pork and jalapeño sausage. Both were very good and the sauce was on point.

Yum! Great brisket. Juicy and flavorful. Loaded baked potato was just that. Sauce was good too and didn't have a bitter taste Fun atmosphere, easy to find with plenty of parking. Worth going back.

We were traveling and stopped in to grab a bite to eat. I'm so glad we did, the food was great! I had the East Texas twister special with brisket. The super friendly gentleman who was getting the meat portion of my plate asked if" I wanted lean or fatty brisket?" I went with the fatty portion, and when he sliced it my mouth was salivating. I saw that thick bark and juice running off the side of my brisket and I knew I made the right choice. The special also comes with two sides. I went with the Jalepeno beans and cucumber salad as my sides. The beans were average, personally I think if they chop the brisket trim and leftovers up and put it in the beans that would add lots of flavor. The brisket, was so good that if we were headed home I would have been buying to go pounds. The bark had so much flavor, right amount of smoke and seasonings, the pull was tender not tough anywhere. I liked the Texas twister as well, and the dipping sauce paired well with it. The cucumber tomato salad was the absolute best that I have eaten from any restaurant anywhere! The cucumbers were crisp and not soggy and the vinegarette they used is divine. Next time getting a bigger serving. The picnic table seating was a bit challenging for me to sit down with the type of dress I had on, but I managed to get down there without exposing the other customers. Lol! The noise level was fairly quite considering the whole inside seating was full. Although they had music playing, it was a great atmosphere and you could hear the party you were with, without having to yell. Way to go Duncan's!

Pulled pork sandwich with beans and coleslaw; the other plate has great sliced brisket, jalapeño beans and coleslaw.

The food was quick and delicious! This family serves the best BBQ I've ever eaten, bar none, and I've eaten a lot of BBQ. It's a walk up and order place. Nothing fancy, but has a nice ambiance. The best thing about Duncan BBQ Co. is the food, and they give you a heaping portion. I'll make sure to stop again on my next trip through Lone Oak, TX!

Fantastic staff and incredible food. 1/3 lb of meat, 2 sides, East Tx Twinkie, toast, and drink. $14. The ultimate BBQ experience.

    East Texas Twinkie

This place was phenomenal! The East Texas Twinkie was so yummy! Everything was perfect but I definitely recommend the pulled pork and Cole slaw!

Just had a loaded baked potato with: butter, sour cream, brisket, and BBQ sauce! Amazing! Probably could have fed a small family!

We've been back many times since they've opened and enjoyed EVERY meal! The employees are very friendly and helpful. Great place to go if you're wanting to get some solid BBQ food! The meats are always very tender and moist. I highly recommend the brisket!

The brisket was everyone's favorite, the pulled pork was excellent as well with much more flavor than I've had anywhere else! We loved the sides-- the mac & cheese was everyone's favorite as it had such a great flavor! One of the highlights of this place is the serve yourself dessert bar when you are dining in. We enjoyed multiple helpings of peach cobbler with their soft, serve ice cream, both of which were absolutely fantastic!! Ordering the food was kind of an assembly line set up, with employees dishing out servings. Everyone was friendly and fast, but we were disappointed that both types of ribs were sold out by the time we arrived. We were worried about finding a seat, as this place was absolutely packed on a Sunday evening! We were able to find a booth quickly, and they do have some outdoor seating as well. Definitely recommend stopping into the spot if you are anywhere close!! Many in our group said that this was the best barbecue they've ever had!

Their menu is broad enough to satisfy anyone. We were behind a guy who was ordering for a medium size group of folks, probably seven or eight. We were expecting to wait a bit. WRONG!!! After we ordered we sat down to wait on a bench. The back of the bench was a tailgate from a pickup truck. Way cool. The other guys order was ready in minutes. Stunned and amazed. Ours was ready about a minute or so later. Ours was to go, so we brought everything back to the house. We got brisket sandwiches and a pulled pork sandwich and some macaroni and cheese. We also got some of the pork belly burnt ends. The brisket and pulled pork were both first rate. I tasted the sauce that came on the side just out of curiosity. It's quite different from any I'd had before. Though it wasn't needed, I dipped a little of the brisket into it. It's a bit worchestershire sauce forward, but acted as a really nice complement to the beef. The real star is the pork belly burnt ends. Those are some of the finest things I've ever eaten. I'm notceven going to try to explain it, but I'm not sure I could. There's a bit of perhaps Korean fusion, but WOW! I mean it. I would order this every time.

Beware that this BBQ spot is located inside of a country feed store. The sign for the feed is large and visible from the road while the B4 sign is smaller. Parking lots of gravel lot. You enter the feed store walk through all the clothing and look to your left. We arrived at 10:45 and we were first in line. They didn't open till 11:15am as they had computer problems. You order and pay at the counter they prepare the order of food in the back and bring it out to your table. We got the 2 meat plate with 2 sides (1/2) pound of protein and we added a Texas Twinkie, The plate also includes pickles, onions, bread and BBQ sauce. The brisket looked good and tasted ok, it was sliced a bit thinner than what Zi am used to getting. The sausage was very tasty. The Texas Twinkie was a small size Twinkie not worth the price. The street corn looks beautiful and tasted delicious. The potato salad had too much vinegar for my taste. The roll was nice and warm. In my opinion B4 Barbeque is a good place to stop and eat at if you are driving by. Congrats on making the Texas Monthly Top 50 list.

The people at the counter who greeted us were super friendly and thankful that we stopped by on our road trip from Dallas. We ordered fatty brisket, ribs, sausage, a texas twinkie, the illustrious Brussels sprouts, tater tot casserole, and potato salad. Everything was really good. The brisket was smoked nicely getting a really good render. I like it all little saltier and more spiced personally, but it was really good. The ribs seem like the house specialty. They are spare ribs and have a really good glaze on them. Fall off the bone and perfectly seasoned. The sausage was fine. All the sides were excellent. Brussels are about as good as they can get. The potato salad was creamy and rich. The tater tot casserole was interesting. Kinda pasty but still really good. I thought it needed some crunch but that could be because the way they hot hold it. We will be back every time we are in sulfur springs. This is top notch Texas BBQ!
