Great little place. I saw a review that said not good for kids. Well we brought three toddlers and a baby. It was great. The servers are so good based on our experience with Dale. Wonderful server who was always there to recommend food or drink. We parked on the street using the park mobile app. Download it before and it will help you find a spot in Dunedin. They have a parking lot too but we went during the parade so it was very busy. Food very good. Nachos. Sweet potato bites. Pretzel bites. I also got a flight. I loved the cider. There were some pros and cons about this brewery. Came here with a large group one night during the week on our trip to Florida. They have a lot of seating and are able to accomodate large groups. It's more like a bar type vibe than a brewery. They also had open mic comedy the night we were there. We immediately went and sat outside at one of the large tables. We waited for a server but one never came so we went inside to order some beers. They did say that the menu outside wasn't up to date and they only had the beers written inside on the chalk board. I ordered a sampler so I could try a few different ones. They had very unique flavors of beers. My favorite had to have been the Biere de cafe which tasted like coffee. The holiday fruitcake was a let down and reminded me of cough syrup. A server eventually did come outside and we ordered a few appetizers to share. The food was surprisingly good and the cheese curds stood out the most to me.. I highly recommend them. I think this spot is worth checking out, especially if you're into unique beer flavors. I was here what seems like a hundred years ago but it was really in 2010. Sat at a high top table and enjoyed a flight of beers. Liked the ambience and the staff were very friendly. I have since returned as I reside in the area and they were just as friendly today as they were 7 years ago. I love my long sleeve shirt I bought from them and I still wear it even though it is WAY too hot for this climate! :) This place is clean including the bathrooms however they do allow graffiti on the walls in the stalls which doesn't really give that feeling of 'respect' to this place. All 3 IPA's were decent. I liked the Kaleidoscope the best as it was a bit dustier than the others I had. They do serve food. Wings and a wrap were had by our friends. The sweet spicy sauce on the wings was more than decent. The wrap, we weren't allowed to have a bite, we can't rate. But it looked delicious. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating available. Bike parking available. A lot has changed in Dunedin since 2010 and some would say for the worse and others would say for the better. I haven't been here long enough to form an opinion on that yet but I do know it is nice to see a well run business still alive in this area. There is minimal parking right nearby but park downtown and walk over. There are still some free lots/street parking and it's an easy walk to the brewery. read more

On vacation here from Ohio, stopped in for Lunch and was actually surprised by the delicious flavor of the burger, the sweet potato fries were the BOMB! Absolutely wonderful brewery in the Tampa area! The staff are super friendly and very helpful for deciding drinks and food. On my server's recommendation, I ordered the fish tacos and the apricot peach ale. You get 3 crunchy tacos with grilled fish topped with tomatoes and cabbage. Eat them quickly because my 3rd taco's bottom fell through from the juicy fish. That being said, they are delicious and I would order them again in a heartbeat! The beer is also phenomenal. The apricot peach ale is nicely balanced and easy-drinking. I also had the local honey wheat which was also quite good. It is a yeasty wheat, similar to what I had in Germany. Great place in a fun little town! If you like wings, you gotta get some here. They are marinated and then fried, served with the sauce on the side. The perfect way IMO. Beer is pretty damn good too! We shared some flights and enjoyed the atmosphere. We stopped here on our way to Clearwater Beach. So happy we did. Parking is a bit tricky, so we parked and walked which let us look around. We were pretty hungry and started with the in-house made pork rinds, warm and seasoned. A flight, and then ordered wings, buffalo cauliflower, and fries that came with curry ketchup. Great beer and great food. A limited menu but that's okay as we rarely get anything other than their to-die-for-wings. They are so good. We love their house-made snakebite sauce. A bit spicy and very flavorful. They have a lemon wit on tap right now that is delicious. My boyfriend likes their Octoberfest beer which won a HUGE trophy recently and it's prominently displayed by the casks. read more

DUNN EDEN....If you don't sound like an ahole when you say it aloud, you're doing it wrong. Dunedin Brewery located in Dunedin is the coolest local hangout you'll ever see ( in Dunedin). With tasty food, nightly entertainment, good beer and colorful locals you really don't need much else. We took a tour and sampled some beers, had some food and sampled a little more. You know, for the sake of brewconnaissance. My favorite beer was an oak- aged wheat ale 'cos I likes me wheat. Over and over again we heard about their amazing fish tacos. I didn't try them because I like my tacos with beans and beef and I like my fish on a platter. Arwen "Hellooooo Stripes" did have the tacos of fish and I would venture to say that she found them delightful. The only thing I tasted was the hot, cheesy, crunchy bite of the nachos. Those bad boys were awesome. Dunedin would definitely become a hangout if I lived nearby. During our stay we developed a plan of action to never return to Miami. My future at Dunedin consists of doing my nursing thing at a local hospital or private practice and selling homemade potpourri sachets at the local farmers market on weekends. With the bay beside me and Dunedin Brewery to fill my stein, I think I could live a very pleasant life here. Oh, just add the dreadheaded cyclist to the mix and I'll pack my bags today! We nearly skipped this brewery on the way home, but so glad we decided against it. I love absolutely everything about this place! The atmosphere: - Definitely laid back and had a welcoming staff - Awesome beer paraphernalia line the walls - Looks like live music is enjoyed here (although not while we were here). The beer: I chose to do a flight of four: - Apricot Peach Ale (very light and great for summer) - Lemongrass Whit (one of my favorites - crisp and also good for the smmer) - Nitro Stout (had a good first taste, but severly lacked in body. Not my favorite) - Brown Ale (pretty good - typical brown ale) The food: - Pretty cheap for the quality and amount you get - The jalapeno cheese curds are the SHIT! Get them or don't and regret it later. I mean, how can you not like fried cheese curds??? - The quesadilla was most excellent - I chose to add blackened mahi-mahi and black olives. I couldn't finish it all, so come hungry! Overall, I think my tab came up to $24 which is pretty damned good for the flight, cheese curds, and my custom quesadilla. I can't spend any time in Dunedin without paying Dunedin Brewery a visit. One of my favorite beers is their Apricot Peach Ale. I pretty much order this beer at any pubs/bars that carry it. Something else I really really enjoy is the wings. The flavor is deep in the meat and I like that they're served dry. On occasions we'd order the fish tacos. My bf especially enjoy these tacos, though I find them to be a bit bland. I like the cabbage to have a sauce, instead of just plain, and these are plain. Adding salsa to them def make them better. I believe there's live music Thurs-Sat. We were here on a Sun evening once and got treated to a drum circle. I don't know if this is a regular thing. It can get loud inside when there's live music, so if you want to be able to talk to your friends, don't hesitate to enjoy your beer out front or in the patio. This place is pretty neat, I'm definitely a fan for hitting up a brewery...especially when I'm on vacation. We popped in here at night, there was some comedy show going on inside, with minimal seating, so we sat outside. A server walked past us a few times without asking if we wanted anything so I decided to get up and get my beer myself. I was able to sample the apricot peach ale before purchasing, so that was a plus... I of course, loved it so I ordered a pint. I definitely recommend checking this place out, if I'm in the area again I will definitely stop in here for the cheese curds too as I just read reviews about them! Love me some cheese curds! Though, I suggest for staff who work here...don't ignore customers, they are there to make purchases and tip you, not to just sit and hang out. read more

For the price and the quality, this place can't be beat. We arrived around 8pm on a balmy Saturday night. The place was packed-in fact we got the last table available which happened to be on their patio area. The inside is split into 2 sections, an area that looks like it used to be an old house and then the brewery section where you'll find the bar and a bunch of high top tables. There is also a patio to the right of the building and then a smaller patio to the left. Our server was quick and attentive. My husband ordered the flight of 4 various beers. His favorite was the wheat. I had water (#pregnantgirlproblems). We ordered the jalapeño fried cheese curds appetizer. Yes, they are as good as they sound. I wasn't all that hungry so we ordered the pork sliders and shared them. This is the winner! The 3 sliders were large and great. They smoke their own pork and then mix it with snakebite BBQ sauce. It's then topped with their coleslaw which is great, because it's not too wet and is fresh and crunchy. It is served with a side of onion rings. For $9 this is a steal. Would we return? Enjoy the beer and quality food.....if you can put up with the apathetic service. I really have a mixed view of this place. 3 stars because they have drinkable beer and high quality bar food. The consistent, pervasive vibe however, amongst the wait staff is that they are doing you a HUGE favor by serving you. Maybe its because I don't have the beard and tatts, but I always get the impression that they all are slightly annoyed that I interrupted their day by coming in. You will never hear a question like "how did you like that burger?" - they either know its good or they really don't care - not sure which. I guess this place has a loyal enough following that they can get away it. They have been there a long time but someday it may catch up to them. There is a lot of good craft beer now being produced in Dunedin along with other food choices. Our group recently made the mistake of sitting outside on the picnic tables. There are signs on the tables telling you there is no wait staff, you have to order everything at the small bar, just inside the left entrance. The problem is that there is no beer at that bar so you have to wait in line for the one server to take your order and then that server has to walk around the bar, go to the main bar, pour the beers and come back while you wait. Ordering food from the area is also a pain since you have to walk back in periodically to check on your order and make sure they know where you are sitting. I really want to like this place more - its a little gem in many ways - if they could possible teach their staff to smile a bit I wouldn't feel so unwelcome when I walk in :( read more

The two things I know best - breweries and chicken wings. This place does them both well. In fact I would have to say they serve the best wings I've ever had. They're served naked and honestly I could just eat them that way, except for the fact their dipping sauces are phenomenal. The maple bacon aioli is worth the $1 up-charge. I could go on and on about the wings, I won't. Just know they're exceptional. As for the beers, my boyfriend and I can both find something to drink here and we have such different tastes, that is a rare thing for us. I'm currently drinking 2019 Dram Alter which is their saison. It's so weird but gets better with every sip. The atmosphere is so chill and the staff are well educated and very polite. I held off on writing a review for awhile because I wanted to try food and various beers to get the full experience of what Dunedin Brewery has to offer. The beer: 3/5. If you're looking for something unique and different in terms of style, there are usually 2-3 choices on tap. For the most part, however, you will find a brown ale, IPA, their apricot beer, and others of the like. The beer is decent and consistently good. The service: 3/5. I've had hit or miss service. Sometimes the servers are on top of things and sometimes it feels like it takes forever to get one drink. I think the servers are spread thin because they serve all parts of the brewery. Generally, service is very friendly albeit slow. The food: 3.5/5. I love the pretzel bites and nachos. The veggie burger was above average and appeared and tasted homemade. The fries were kind of greasy. It's your typical bar food and most items are $5-9. The ambiance: 4/5. I love the outside areas with the bulb string lighting under the trees. The inside is neat as well. It feels like a nice retreat when you're there. They frequently have live music inside. So if you're into it you can sit inside or sit outside if you're not feeling the loud music. There are options to create your own atmosphere. Overall, it's easy to see why Dunedin Brewery is a staple and has been around for so long. I enjoy coming here when I can and always make it a stop when visiting Dunedin. read more

Among Tampa-area breweries, while Cigar City is the balls-to-the-wall, brew-now-and-apologize-later brewery, and St. Somewhere is the reclusive mad genius saison brewer, Dunedin tacks toward the conservative, traditional side, featuring more of a wheat ale-pale ale-brown ale-stout lineup. While the brewpub is modern and well-lit by the afternoon sun, there's an old-style sense of community here. This is where Dunedin comes to drink. Judging from when we were there, it's also where Dunedin comes for wedding receptions - there was a private reception going on when we arrived, so we were forced to kill a little time in town until the event was finished. But back to the beers. They were very competent representations of traditional styles - I most enjoyed the dry stout on nitro-tap, which went well with my pulled pork sandwich. It was a standard brewpub menu, but everyone was happy with their brews and food. Yes, as Yislin said in her review, we did develop plans for a future in Dunedin. I demurred, however, as during my time in the Dunn Eden, I didn't see too many females under the age of 50. I had visited last year when I did a Dunedin Brewery Beer Run. What a party! I came back earlier this year to see a friend perform at a filled open mike night. I tried the food here and now know my neighbor didn't know S#!* when he said the food was bad! It was great as was the variety! I brought my cuz here yesterday as he needed a bit culture. This is the oldest craft brewery in Florida. Righteous! He hit a flight of six beers and loved it. I had a Razzberry Wheat that was awesome and a delicious Dunedin Brewery Apricot Wheat the night before at Dunedin Smokehouse! Oh, they make a Biere de Cafe, a coffe beer I highly recommend too! Dunedin Brewery has become one of my go-to places when I want to go out to eat. Great beer, service, and food. All the beer I've had have been excellent. When they are this good there is no need to come up with a creative name, if your beer is high quality and tastes great. Being in the middle of September, I am looking forward to Octoberfest and a pumpkin beer. The food is also amazing. Pretzel bites, fish tacos, and wings are all great. Update: Went last night, and it was horrible. We got the wings and the poutine and both were extremely dry and over cooked. The wings seemed like they were reheated. If this is the new norm I will need to reevaluate my rating. Very disappointed, if that was my first time I wouldn't be going back. read more

The building & staff... At Oktoberfest, the space was enhanced with an outdoor tent. So truthfully, I don't really know how big this place is. Considering the crowd, I thought the bartenders were quite good at serving us, even allowing us to sample before ordering. The live band was fun as well. The drinks... The October brew was good. I actually enjoyed some of their hoppy choices which is strange and miraculous for me. What I loved was their porter. With the mug from the Oktobeerfest, I get to fill it for $5 or $6 eternally. That thing fits two beers! The food... The food options are various unhealthy bar eats. We had some fried pretzels that were delicious. In fact, they didn't seem to be fried at all. It was some trickery. Overall, I came here for their Oktobeerfest. I was very impressed with how they handled the crowd and the beer was on point. I'll definitely be back. read more

I didn't drink a single beer while I was here, so I won't be reflecting on any brews today. Well, unless root beer counts... I came to Dunedin Brewery for food today and I'm so glad I did. I got their wings with a side of fries and was set. Their wings are some of the best I have ever had in my 27 years of life. When they came out they were piping hot, so I had to wait a few minutes, but after they cooled down a little I was eating those crispy little wonders as fast as my mouth could chew. Ask Kelly K., she saw it all. Speaking of Kelly, it was really nice how chill my waitress Molly was. I had been sitting by myself and then when Kelly came in, I went to sit with her and Molly was totally cool about it. And she was also great about being attentive while still giving me space to eat. The beer is excellent and micro-brewed on the premises. I love the Lowland Wheat Ale with a big slice of orange... The bar food is surprisingly good - with a few vegetarian selections. Check the mirror behind the bar for daily specials... The pub is smoke-free, but a bit needs better ventilation - you tend to smell the kitchen fryer... And the eclectic deco is getting a bit grimy... And the outside deck is smoker-friendly - "cough, cough." I never seen the live bands there, but I've been to the Tuesday drum circle many times - which is always fun... Slainte! read more

The only thing holding it back from 5 stars- the beer. Great live music, great atmosphere, totally rad that they serve beer they make there... it's just not amazing. It's drinkable. The food is pretty good, the service is very nice, and the indoor and double outdoor areas are perfect for socializing, it seems designed for friends to meet, yet I have seen single people enjoying the music by themselves, too. I will say that my memory of Dunedin Brewery is... well. Not all that clear. Ahem. Good thing I always take near-religious beer notes. I ordered a sampler for myself and partook (?) of everyone else's pints when proffered. It may surprise you to learn I tried 10 beers... I will try and just cover the highlights since this isn't my beer journal. (You know you're jealous) The best? 3 Copper Coins--a glorious summer beer. Complex hops run back and forth over the palate with a clean finish. Truly five snobby stars. Runners up? The Pale ale was a lightbulb going off in your mouth and the Red Orb was ridiculously easy to drink with a smooth roasted chestnut finish. I truly hated the Biere de Cafe coffee-infused porter, but members of my party were in love. Same goes with the Apricot-Peach Ale though I'd try it again at a colder temperature. What I can remember of the food was 1) huge portions 2) fast service. So, you might be on your own there. But the ambiance and music was great! I'd go again in a heartbeat. read more
