What a fun concept! It seems that they've got a strong variety of food options, and the bartenders this Sunday were great! My friend and I stopped in around 12:30pm on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. The bar was full, but there was plenty of courtyard seating. We opted for a pierogi order from Spoons and a Poke Rose bowl from Huli Bowl. Both were great hits, however I would like to see more cold plates available - they had pasta, pizza, pierogis, vegan burgers, nachos, crab cakes, etc. but the only cold plate I could find to beat the heat on this Sunday was the poke bowl and vegan milkshakes. A salad, a charcuterie board, a cold soup, anything just not hot would be great to include since this is an open air food hall in Florida after all. We also tried the Empress Rose and the Amethyst cocktails; total opposites in flavor profile, with the Empress being incredibly sweet and pungent, while the Amethyst was floral and earthy. The contrast was jolting; I don't recommend splitting these drinks or going back to back with them, but on their own they were quite good! We would've loved to sit at the carousel bar, but unfortunately two seats never opened up together while we were there from 12:30-2ish. We still got quite close with the high tops though. Parking is extremely limited, but we got lucky and found a spot right behind the building. Take advantage of nearby free parking lots and garages, just expect to walk a bit. read more

A fun new-ish food hall in Dunedin. The setup features restaurants and shops along two sides of an open courtyard. The courtyard features an assortment of tables and high-tops. Misters are affixed above with fans to keep the air moving. At the back is a bar with about a dozen seat in a unique carousel configuration. The bar and seats slowly rotate, with the service area stationary in center. The bartender informs that it takes 30 minutes for a full rotation. There are a few parking spots in the back of the building. Because I was there for a late lunch, I was able to find a spot. I imagine in prime time parking is at a premium here. Even with the fans and misters, it's HOT in the courtyard, so prepare to perspire in the summertime. On this Weds afternoon there was no table service. There are 4 restaurants at Dunedin Mix. Opted to try the poke place, Huli Bowl. The Poke Rose is a typical poke bowl, chunks of tuna, edamame, greens, green onion, nori over sticky jasmine rice with sesame-ginger sauce drizzled over the top. The ingredients are fresh, with a hint of heat from the sauce. If you're a poke fan, this will satisfy you. A fun spot for something a little different. Dunedin Mix is a new mini food hall in Dunedin, FL. One word can describe this very well LOUD. Hoping that on a week day this may be an ideal spot to catch up with friends. The two main eye grabbers here are the carousel bar which is a reminder of the carousel bar at Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans. In addition, they continue that theme with the front entrance with the Fleur de lis. Parking on site is lacking and don't even thinking of parking next door at the apartment for a minute bc they flip out even for a minute. You can walk in by the back parking lot or the front where the street is. By the back is where the carousel bar is. They have four food vendors here and a boutique and another business as well. Upstairs they have some seating and also private event space. They had a singer when I was there. And it sounds altogether like a cafeteria since the ceilings are high and sound travels I ordered food from Huli bowl - A poke nachos and a huli chicken bowl which was ok. They also have a tapas vendor? Italian vendor, and burger, hot dog, milk shake vendor. One thing to point out on the receipt is a Venue Fee of 3.99%. It's automatically tacked on there and there's a description on the receipt posted of what it's for - elevated Parisian Courtyard experience and entertainment. Don't know if this is a charge that can be taken. I'll be sure to ask next time. It's a nice concept here in Dunedin, and it's sure to hang out drink and have some small snacks but really not a date night spot unless you really don't want to talk to your date. I may be back in the future and see how it is on a week day. read more

Food was great the concept was good also. The crowd was vey minimal which is good because seating is a little limited. There only 2 shops you can purchase food from. They have a main bar at the entrance and a small boutique. The location does have very limited parking spaces so you would have to find parking down the street or public parking lot and walk to the location. I really like the concept of but it's just too limited with parking, seating areas and food options (although what they have there now has delish food)! Maybe this is a spot to start off the weekend before enjoying the rest of DT Dunedin. read more

Popped in on the Grand Opening weekend and loved every bit of this unique dining and carousel bar venue! Despite being their grand opening where you would expect some minor missteps, everything was en point! Outstanding service at the Carousel Bar, ambience was beautiful and I can see us returning for sure! While being off Main St, don't let this deter you! Short walk from Main St, easy to get to, parking went well and there are other eateries as well as a microbrewery nearby. Mixologist Ryan even took a little extra time, despite being so busy to make me a custom cocktail when he found out I was allergic to citrus. Ryan is awesome! Loved the New Orleans flair! Neat little place with several food truck style windows. Seemed to be only one bar, and the bartenders could use some help in congeniality. We stood around for a while without even being acknowledged, as did several others. Bartenders acted like it was the end of their shift and they were just tired of people. Well prob come back and try this place again, hope things improve as we left without even being able to get a drink (and they weren't THAT busy). A Chicago hotdog is not grilled and split. It has mustard (which incredibly you have to pay extra for!!) the sport peppers where chopped and they put RED onions on it (should be white). This abomination of a Chicago dog was a disgrace and the worst part was the cost. Absolutely horrendous. Needless to say I don't think this place will make it. Interesting concept with multiple food venues, speak easy, carrousel bar, and banquet area that has special events like dueling pianos, murder mystery night and others. Live music. Was my 2nd time there last evening. Some of the kinks they hadn't quite worked out at my first visit, shortly after opening, were all resolved. Parking limited is my only feedback for size of the place. Of our party of 6 two had to park in public garage two blocks away. read more

First, let's start with the parking. We went on a Saturday night and it took me 20 minutes to find parking nearby as there is no parking lot. I met a friend and we both usually drink a Sauvignon Blanc. This wine was $16 per glass. We waited a good 30 minutes for the wine to arrive after ordering. There are food stalls to order from. we both ended up ordering from the Italian one. I ordered a mushroom ravioli with a mushroom truffle sauce and it was $25. For that I had to take a pager to the table and go back and pick up the food when ready. Plastic utensils were provided.. the pasta was disappointing, especially for the price! The drinks were decent and the food was good. The construction and finish work was rushed. It wouldn't take much to bring that up a notch. However, the big let-down was a service fee added to the final bill. WTF! Nowhere on the menu or website did it disclose an additional fee would be added to your bill for what they are calling a "Venue" fee. There was no live music or anything we were entertained by whatsoever. Passing the cost of doing business to your customers is absurd. If you're looking to pay $25.00 for 2 hotdogs this is the place for you. There is also a hidden venue fee with every purchase. Wow, my wife and I had a great time and drinks for comedy night at Dunedin Mix last night. Afterwards, we were served great drinks and food from Brittany, choosing from four restaurants there, and then enjoyed time at their amazing carousel bar! But, when we got home I couldn't find my iPhone. My wife then called my iPhone and some stranger answered it. He said, "Hi, this is Mark, you left your iPhone at your table at Dunedin Mix. We're closed now, but you can pick it up at 10 tomorrow morning when we open". I was like, "Thank you so much!" 5/31/24 Went on a Friday night - parking was small but we got a spot! The place was busy- we were instructed by the waitress to find a seat and they would come to us instead of waiting at the long bar line. Wait staff was very attentive and friendly. We ordered 2 martinis - the signature espresso and a raspberry lemon drop . My lemon drop was described to be made with fresh muddled fruit. Our drinks were very disappointing - the espresso tasted like watered down coffee , and my drink had no fruit added and tastes like vodka alone. No flavor of the lemon drop either. We didn't even finish them - our bill was $40.67! That's outrageous , and the drinks had no flavor. I tipped our waitress $5, it's not her fault. But I was very disappointed and don't understand why it cost so much. read more

First time here last night with a group of friends loved the carousel bar. I've only seen one other in New Orleans, which it's modeled after from the Hotel Monteleone. I loved the variety in the food court. I went to Spoons and had the cheesesteak. It was amazing & huge. my husband ordered pizza from Al Dente. This place is very unique and we enjoyed our time there. We had the Italian food last night and it was amazingly delicious. Everything is made from stretch and being Italian I could tell. . The only downside is they do not have much parking so you have to park in the parking garage or in one of the other parking areas and walk a few blocks which is okay for me but if you have a family member that can't walk that far it can be an issue. read more

Wow! What a find! We heard about this unique place in town and checked it out. We were welcomed by a very talented bartender, Rex, and he made us top notch custom drinks that we absolutely delicious. The venue has a wide variety of food choices. They have different "restaurant windows" where you place an order, and then your food is delivered to your seat. Everything we sampled was delicious.
