One thing I love to do in the morning especially when I'm in the area is get an iced coffee. I decided to go to Dunkin' Donuts because of their wide array of iced coffees esp for the fall season . What keeps me coming here is the location, iced lattes and the bagel bites...the customer service needs some work. I do not usually like yelping chain restaurants & joints but I rarely make an exception, especially when the customer service is outstanding -especially like it is here at the Dunkin in American Canyon. Regardless of if you're doing through the drive thru or walking in, I can ensure you that you will definitely be happy you stopped by this location. Their employees from the drive thru to the walk-in area are attentive, friendly & caring. They make great suggestions. Came here since Dunkin Donuts are slowly and surely popping up around the Bay Area. Truthfully it isn't much to talk about. The place is nice and the staff was friendly, but I actually didn't think the donuts tasted that great. They tasted like they were sitting there awhile, so I'm not sure exactly when they make these things (came in around 10:00am on a Sunday). I ordered a Frozen Hot Chocolate and it was decent at best. I'd rather go to the local donut store by my house since I know they're a lot fresher than what I ate here. Although, I will say I did try one of their breakfast sandwiches which had sausage, egg and texas toast. The first time I ever had a Dunkin Donut (hole) was when I was visiting family in New York about ten years ago. A cousin dropped by Dunkin while on her way home from work to bring us a snack. Although a very nice gesture, the donuts were stale. Tried Dunkin again at another family party this year- they were stale. Conveniently located for Napa bound commuters as well as tourists passing through American Canyon. Drive through is available, but opted for the dine in experience. Cash registers were in full force and waiting in line wasn't bad at all. The cashier held her ground and knew exactly what she was doing. Much credit for a new establishment in getting things together. I ordered a few donuts and a large coffee. After my coffee being poured, I was told they would top it off as it was a bit short. I appreciated them checking with me, but was fine with the dilemma. Coffee was watered down. I'm not exactly sure what it was, but the donuts seemed to have some moisture beyond the norm. Still a new establishment and I'm sure over time they will get things right. Surrounding businesses are still under construction thus the parking situation isn't a problem for now. However, it's a store that is away from the other stores. The closest store i know from there is Walmart which is close by. Great tasting donuts that are not too overly sweet as Krispy Kreme. I come for the varieties of donuts, coffee and their chicken sandwich. This place do offer drive through or dine in. Friendly and helpful staff. I have always been going to this place but i have never had an encounter like i had this morning. Its my daughter's birthday and whats the best way to start her and her class' day than donuts? We spent $57 for donuts and a canister of hot coco. When they gave me the cups there was only 10 so i asked if i could get 5 more coz thats the whole class, i was not just declined but rudely got told its only 10. So I offered to pay but they make me wait and i have to tell them that my daughter will be late then thats when this lady told me ok pay up 5 cents. Seriously? 5 cents is what i waited for? When i got the cup there was no lid so i had to ask again then she was "could u wait" and that's when i said you're making my daughter late and she just told me "well you should come early". I was so disappointed my daughter had to hear that on her birthday and for what? For 5 cents? Its not like we're stocking them its for a class of children.
