Every year we make a point to come here, at least twice a year. Just to have a Delicious Breakfast!! We've been coming here for years. We Love the service, (waitresses and waiters) . The Delicious food is absolutely AMAZING!! My family ALWAYS looks forward to the mouth watering Breakfasts!! Today, Lorena was our waitress for the last two days
Boom Fly's food is still very nice after all these years. We started with some banana bread (that had some unexpected toppings) & it was lovely. The waitress was kind friendly, although she disappeared at the end and a gentleman came up to check us out, which I always find odd (when they don't transition & let us know one of them is going to be taking a break etc. and one of them is going to be working there Station ... had our waitress stayed till the end. I simply would've shared the following information with her ...). I think the most surprising thing about the ambience this time was the fact that we sat in a corner booth (towards the front door), which used to be a favorite space for me ironically, and the white wood blinds were absolutely filthy. I mean a layer of dust & gunk on them like they hadn't been cleaned since the last time I sat there (years). I waitressed for a long time and I can tell you that people will judge a restaurant's cleanliness by the dining area: If the dining area is not clean, it makes the kitchen suspect. Boon Fly pays a lot of detail to a lot of other little details, so I'm hoping they will take a harder look at the dining room surroundings and make sure those get genuinely cleaned.
Hadn't been here is a few years, but they did not disappoint! After a fun race in So Oma we stopped for breakfast and the restaurant was offering a complimentary glass of rose' to every race runner. The avocado toast is quite possibly the best I have ever had! The service is too notch and the ambiance is fun and relaxing all at once. If you've never tried Boon Fly Cafe, it is very much worth the stop.
Popular breakfast spot/ eatery located in Napa Valley. It's got an energetic roadhouse / farmhouse vibe and is part of this larger compound (Carneros Resort & Spa), which is really fun because before or after your meal, you can visit a different part of the resort where they grow lots of herbs and vegetables. I think they may use some of that at this restaurant, but I'm not sure. I came in with my parents on a weekday so we were able to get seated pretty much right away. Everyone from the person seating us and our server was just so friendly. I got a coffee and ordered the "Green Eggs and Ham", my dad got the breakfast burrito, and my mom got the Dungeness crab benedict. We also got a few of their fresh donuts to start. Because the place wasn't super busy, I think our food came out at a great pace and gave me a chance to enjoy just being there and the donuts with my coffee. I really enjoyed the Green Eggs and Ham and got a bite each of what my parents got. I enjoyed everything and so did they. Just a great time and great meal all around. Afterwards we drove close to the resort/ spa area to walk through the farming area with chickens. Just love experiences like that.

Food was OKAY, my chilaquiles were lacking flavor and my friend's burger buns were super dry. Not sure how they won "best of 2025" but who knows maybe they had different kitchen staff. 2. After waiting 45 min to be seated, we still had to wait as the bartenders were focused on the customers walking up to the bar ordering to go food...um excuse me? Not only did we wait, we still had to wait more?? It seemed like they didn't know how to handle the situation. I had to ask for my check twice and follow up on the donuts. I wouldn't come back, not worth the wait time.
What an open and inviting space for brunch right by Carneros! We stopped by on the way back to San Francisco from St. Helena and thought this would be a good late lunch, since we skipped on breakfast. We were greeted and seated at a large table quickly. I ordered the eggs benedict, which sounded like the perfect portion -- though it took nearly 40 minutes for our food to arrive, and the toasted bun came out closer to lukewarm. The crispy potatoes on the side were tasty, but for a pretty standard Napa Valley price point, I was expecting a bit more. A few others at our table ordered from the sweeter side of the menu, and I'd like to try some other dishes next time around.
Cutest restaurant! Outside is red and inside gives you a barn feeling but modern. I have come here a few times- on the weekend and on a weekday. This is a very super popular restaurant, so if you come on a Saturday or Sunday, expect to wait 1 to 2 hours. This time we came on a Tuesday morning, and we did not have to wait and the service was nice and quick. We had the breakfast burrito and the chicken and waffles. The breakfast burrito is so big, you can share it with another person. It is a wet burrito so we had to use a knife, fork. It was loaded! I liked that the inside wasn't dry for how big it was. The chicken in the chicken and waffles was crispy and had a nice crunch to it. The waffles were cooked perfectly and the sweet brown butter that came with was so delightful and was a nice touch. Definitely recommend, but expect a good wait on weekends!
In Napa for the night. Came to Boon Fly for breakfast before heading home on a Monday. They're open daily 7am-9pm. Such a cute place. Service was great and the food was amazing!
I have had breakfast here a few times. Our most recent visit was for a late lunch. We started with the calamari. The calamari was way too greasy, so we sent it back. I opted for a burger. To my surprise the burger plate did not look appetizing. The onion was blossoming and the other veggies did not seem fresh. The burger was not good at all. I felt bad for sending the calamari back so I just sucked it up and ate French fries. Long story short, go for breakfast.
We stopped at this place after wine tasting; nifty little find. Wanted to try somewhere new to eat. There was wine & drinks all around; absolutely loved the 'Boon Fly Garden Refresher'! We started with the warm artichoke dip served with warm pita bread, so nice. In our group someone tried the soup of the day, but the time I looked over it was gone. There was an order of the Berkshire pork chop, the SF style cioppino, & a shared order of the fried chicken. Everything looked delicious, the person eating the pork chop did state it was a tad basic, yet overall cooked correctly. The fried chicken with mashed potatoes & braised garden greens was well done. The seafood cioppino looked great, did not smell fishy, always a plus. And of course, we had to try the home made donuts - little donuts fried to perfection, served with whipped cream & warm chocolate. Coffees & a cappuccino - we were happy campers. Service was stellar. Ambiance was casual, quiet; it could also be because we were there on a Monday after the weekend, could be very different during the weekend. Had a good evening, will have to stop by again.
We had a wonderful brunch at Boon Fly Café! The ambiance is cozy, charming, and perfect for a relaxing meal. The staff were also very nice and welcoming, which made our experience even better. The donuts are an absolute must-try warm, fluffy, and easily the highlight of our visit. I also loved the salmon flatbread, and the Eggs Benedict was delicious as well. The only dish that wasn't our favorite was the French toast, as it was a bit dry for our taste. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and we'd definitely come back, especially for those amazing donuts!
I remember seeing this spot when I was searching for a place for brunch. But it was always out of the way. This time around, it was not, so we decided to give it a shot. One thing that through time off was where the Waze took us. It guided us towards the back of the Carneros Resort. And the parking lot was like in their service road area haha. There was no handicap parking near the entrance, so that was annoying. I always thought this place was by the main entrance of the resort, apparently not, so don't get thrown off like I was haha. It was a small place, but it wasn't crowded that day. We were seated right away. We ordered the Corned Beef Hash and the Chilaquiles. They were both very good. The corned beef hash had very good crispy hash underneath the corned beef. My Chilaquiles was very good. The sauce was just right and the tortilla chips were not soggy. Staff was attentive in refilling our drinks and checking up on us. Would I come back? Maybe if we're in the area, I am still thrown off by the location of this place. If you end up parking in the main carneros resort lot, I honestly don't know how you're supposed to get here, it's a far far walk haha. Other than that, it was a good meal.
The cider mini donuts were warm, fresh and delicious. The added chocolate sauce was very light. The chiliquilles with poached eggs was perfect, even asked how I liked my eggs poached. The Cesar salad was the nice crunchy veggie reset that I needed to start my day. My friend got the crab cakes Benedict and a side bowl of fruit, both were reviving.
This restaurant had a lovely homely feel with genuinely nice staff, in particular Jose A. He has such a big smile, was happy, helpful and personable. He had such a positive attitude when we decided to share the egg breakfast and didn't make us feel bad about sharing one entree since we were not too hungry but wanted a little more substantial food before we hit the next winery. I appreciated your reasonable your prices were. The eggs were fluffy and delicious. I really appreciated how good the eggs were, since I eat scrambled eggs almost every morning at home but our hotel had horrible powdered eggs, and I hadn't had a good scrambled egg in 11 days -withdrawal symptoms. My tummy felt so happy with your food. I thought about staying at the resort, just because I liked your restaurant and Jose so much! read more

We pass by the infamous red barn in Napa every time we head to Sonoma. I heard it's a popular cafe so I have been wanting to try it for a while now. We happen to be in the area and so we decided to finally check them out. We arrived on a Friday afternoon for lunch recently. The cafe is located in a nice area in Napa off the Sonoma Hwy. Parking is accessible in the parking lot outside. The exterior of the red barn looks like your typical classic and traditional farm structure. Inside the nice modern decor is sleek, cozy, and rustic. There are plenty of tables and booths for dine in. We ordered the green eggs and ham, corned beef hash, the Carneros breakfast, and a half a dozen of the Boon Fly donuts. Everything was delicious and hearty. My green eggs and ham had a unique presentation with green lemon leek cream drenched on top. The flavorful cream complements the hash browns, eggs, and ham very well. My nephew said his corned beef hash was very tasty. The Boon Fly donuts were soft, warm, and sweet. The chocolate sauce was the perfect dipping sauce for the donuts. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Boon Fly Cafe. The staff were nice and accommodating. The vibe was warm, family friendly, and welcoming. The price point was fair. The food came out quick and the portions were big. I hope to be back to try other food items on the menu. read more
I've eaten here 3 times or so, and each time has been great. This time around, I stopped by to eat lunch; though, they just have a brunch menu that leans more heavily towards the breakfast end of things. - Reuben sandwich: this is just a well-executed classic. It has the standard corned beef, Swiss, sauerkraut, and thousand island on rye. No notes on the sandwich really. Just well done. It came with a side of fries, which were just okay. Not bad. Not great. Just okay. - Dungeness crab Benedict: this is a crab cake topped with poached eggs and a jalapeño hollandaise. Amazing. Very crabby. The hollandaise didn't really taste jalapeño-y nor was it spicy. The side of hash browns was nice enough. Better than the French fries. Since I dropped by on a Monday, I only had to wait 10 minutes or so to get seated. If you go on a weekend, be prepared to wait some time. And the parking lot is rather cramped as well during the busy times. The servers are always very pleasant and attentive. read more

Stopped here on the way up to Napa, and wasn't disappointed. Place was busy but got seated right away given we were a party of two. Staff was super friendly. I got a simple breakfast and my buddy got the corned beef hash. Both were amazing! Also had a seasonal mimosa (which was watermelon) and my buddy had a standard. The place was small and quaint, but I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Definitely would stop back here on my next trip to Napa read more

Everything here is amazing! We first came here about eight years ago, and it's even better now. The food and tastes more delicious than ever, and our waitstaff, Anthonio is outstanding. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back! read more
Probably a 3.5 We waited a long time for a table, even with a reservation. The seasonal mimosas was ok and expensive. The omelet was fine. It's hard mess that up. The breakfast burrito was very large and good. The chicken and waffles were a mixed bag. One liked the waffle and one did not The Ruben was good as were the fries. read more
Consistently delicious--a must visit in Napa. Portions are generous, food is consistently good, service is speedy, and food comes out quick. Not a ton of seating inside so don't forego bar seating, if available. Fried chicken and waffles are so yummy. Super crunchy skin and juicy, piping hot and flavorful meat. The waffle has a nice crisp to it as well. The baker's dozen donuts are a must, no matter how much food is on the table :-) Super soft, perfectly sugary sweet, and easy to gobble up. The chocolate sauce on the side is nice, but not necessary--they're delicious by themselves. They also come out super fast. Love the teapot and honey jars they bring with any order of tea (Art of Tea). read more
Cute cafe with friendly service. Stopped by for a quick lunch during a work trip, ordered the breakfast burrito and was slightly shocked at how huge it was! I could only eat half and took the rest to go, it was very fresh and delicious. Price was a little high but to be expected in the area, and it was a good sized burrito. read more

Awesome little hole in the wall. I drove past for years but finally stopped and WORTH IT 100%!!!! Service was great. Workers constantly walking around asking if you need anything. Let's get to the food, the eggs Benny! Man hands down one of my top 3 favorite. The fresh English muffin to the fresh cut ham topped with a one of a kind non spicy jalapeño hollandaise sauce!! We arrived at Boon Fly Cafe around 9:30 am and were seated within about 15 minutes, which was great. There is a pretty big parking lot, and if you have to wait, there are some outdoor seats to enjoy while you wait. We made sure to order the famous Boon Fly donuts, and it was such a good choice. They came warm, and you could even dip them in chocolate, which made them extra indulgent. We also tried the French toast and breakfast burritos, both of which were generously sized and very satisfying. Everything was delicious and the portions definitely leave you feeling full. The atmosphere is welcoming and lively, making it a great spot for a hearty breakfast or brunch in Napa. read more
Came here with a group of friends. Interesting location right off the side of a road with a good amount of parking in the back (you might have to walk a little from your parking spot to the restaurant). When we got here it was already packed and we got one of the last open spots. Their menu is extensive and their staff was attentive. The group ordered mini donuts and said they were very good (served warm). I ordered the Eggs Benedict and thought it was decent nothing really to write home about. Two other friends had their food and felt the same way - decent but nothing to talk about. Only one of our party members really liked their food. What I will say I really enjoyed was their Dark and Story drink. Now this was my first time trying it so I have nothing to compare it to, but it was delicious! Overall me personally I would not return, but I do appreciate trying new places. The interior was very cute and again the service was very quick and friendly to assist. read more

We came here as a group of six and we had a great time. I really liked that there were a number of vegetarian options that were outside of the basic things. For example, I ordered the mushroom Bolognese and they also had a vegetarian burger! Our server was very attentive. The portions are quite big, especially the dessert! read more

High end shit, I think thats the best way of describing what I had. First off they had not one thing that was vegan which is sort of understandable, but only two vegetarian options is actually insane. So I had some pasta, it was honest to god the worst pasta I've had in years regardless of restaurant or not. No flavor other than the to few sundried tomatoes sprinkled throughout the pasta. I truly think they invented anti-salt for this dish, cause I spent at least 5 minutes trying to make it have some flavor with a combo of salt and pepper, but I utterly failed. I don't get how your supposed to get the raw (may I add) veggies to stick with your noodles, cause there is in fact no sauce, but just olive oil. It was not a reasonable amount of olive oil it was a reserve that the united states would invade a country for. Overall shit meal with ass on the side. read more

Today, my middle son and I went to eat at my favorite restaurant, Boon Fly in Napa. We arrived around 2 PM and there was no wait -- we were seated about 5 minutes after arriving. This is actually my first complaint because I usually love coming here. I always order the corned beef hash, but this time the potatoes were burnt. Also, our server didn't really pay attention to us. We had been sitting for about 10 minutes while she was busy refilling condiments and we weren't checked on. Since it wasn't crowded and there weren't many people waiting, I honestly expected better service. Hoping this was just an off day because I've always enjoyed dining here. read more

The food came cold and the fruit on the french toast was going bad. The serves were nice but didn't check in often. The place itself is very plain there is no decor and it feels very unwelcoming. The setup inside is very strange and feels very small to the point where you can see everyone's food and hear their conversations. Overall wouldn't comeback and I was brought in by the pink exterior. read more

Our group of 5 came to Boon Fly Cafe around 9:30am on a Saturday, and it was quite busy. We were told the wait would be around 25 minutes, which was perfect for us since we were in no rush. I did learn that you can order anything from the bar for takeout, and they do have some tables/seating outside where you could enjoy your food. We were told space opened up at the bar, and opted to sit there. Service was very friendly, and out food came out quite quickly after ordering. We got 5 dishes to split between us, and they provided us some smaller plates to split food with. Standouts for me was the breakfast flatbread and the corned beef hash. I also really liked the waffle that the chicken and waffles came with - it was so soft and fluffy and you can really taste the cornmeal. The green eggs and ham was unique but didn't stand out enough and I'd get the corned beef hash over that next time. The tacos were light and refreshing but not as flavorful as I would've preferred. I also got an iced vanilla latte, which does come from an automatic machine but was nice and strong, and not too sweet. Overall, Boon Fly Cafe is a really cute and popular brunch spot, and serving sizes were generous, with reasonable pricing and excellent service. I'm sure I'll be back again. read more
I was in the area with a group of friends for a presentation. After several hours we were hungry. Half the group got here 40 ish minutes before my friend and I. They sat them down and allowed them to start apps and drinks and wait for us. They ordered the mini donuts and chocolate sauce. When we finally arrived, the donuts were still warm and delicious. Everyone ordered alcohol beverages and seemed to like them. I stuck with water. For meals, I ordered the chicken and waffles the others ordered, eggs Benedict, the burger, and fish tacos add avocado. The other three said their food was good, not remarkable, but a good meal with good company. I think they ordered the wrong things. I devoured the waffle, it was light and fluffy while melting in your mouth. The brown butter elevated the dish. The chicken was crispy and favorable. I do think the pieces I got were on the smaller side, I was still full, and had leftovers for home. The service was great, they were nice and friendly. They took great care of us. They also didn't rush us out of there while we talked quite a bit longer than the meal. I would come back for the chicken and waffles. read more
A little hard to find but worth the extra time it took. Located on the property of Carneros Resort with plenty of parking. Came in around noon for a quick bite. They were busy but we were seated promptly and our server was attentive. Enjoyed the avocado toast, with cranberries and pistachios. The frittata was also delicious. We were looking for a cute brunch spot near Domaine Carneros and amazingly, stumbled upon this lovely cafe. On the outside, it looks like a red vintage barn - which definitely sticks out. The cafe was quite spacious and cozy. We ordered the brioche French toast (which was served with berries) as well as the breakfast flatbread topped with a nice egg. We shared the dishes amongst us 3, which was perfect in size. Both tasted delicious and were quite fulfilling. They also have quite an interesting set of names for their alcoholic beverages! read more

I absolutely loved this place. This cozy restaurant was easy to find as it is right off of Sonoma Hwy. My husband and I went on a Monday morning around 11am. It was not too crowded at that time. We were warmly greeted when we walked in and were seated pretty quickly. My husband had the Boon Fly Chicken & Waffle and I was basic and had the Two Eggs Any Style. My meal came with hash browns, wheat toast, and chicken apple sausage (you can choose applewood smoked bacon or country breakfast sausage). The portions were generous and my husband liked the crispiness of his chicken. We also ordered the Nutty Carajillo and Best Coffee Ever for drinks. I recommend ordering the Nutty Carajillo (you can thank me later)! The service was AMAZING. We visited Napa for a quick wedding anniversary trip and Boon Fly Cafe was our last stop before heading home. We had a great brunch here! We got there right around noon and had a 20 min wait as it's pretty small of a place. There was plenty of seating outside to wait. Once we were seated, our server came over promptly and took our drink orders. They had a ton of different options, including breakfast-y cocktails and of course mimosas. I just got an iced latte as we just flew in and needed caffeine. We got a couple donuts to start and they were nice and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I wish we would've just got the dozen with the basket because they were super tasty and the basket came with dipping sauces for them. We split the salmon bagel and breakfast flatbread. It was a great serving of salmon and the bagel was perfectly chewy. The flatbread was almost like a lavash texture with a crackery crust. The cheese was plentiful, the egg cooked perfectly and the caramelized onions added some nice depth. Because it was a small place and you are pretty close to the tables next to you, but I didn't feel too close that we were all sitting together at one table. my mom's bday was an elite brunch in napa! we loved the outside view and its color, here at Boon Fly Cafe. i invited my mother for a breakfast to get chilaquiles specifically, so i was excited to take her the inside ambiance is nice, busy and the staff is nice and helpful once you enter the door. my mother ordered those chilaquiles, while i got their chicken and waffle. food came out in timely manner, and this had to be some of the best dishes we ever had: my mother fell in love with this place chilaquiles (10/10): my mother's dish: she loved it so much, as called the Chef over chicken and waffles (9.5/10): my dish, some of the best i had, hace Roscoes competition s/o the chef Pedro for making elite dishes in the Napa area and making our day amazing: thx for an elite experience read more

Yes, they have an outdoor patio area where 4-legged friends are welcome.
Are the babies and kids allowed to come here?
Yes. It's a family place. I would assume they'd prefer well-behaved kids (and babies, to the extent they can be behaved). It's not a huge place.
Is a reservation recommended instead of walk-ins? My only concern is parking... if I was to make a reservation and find no parking.. what's next?? I'm asking because I went not too long ago, and there was no parking.
There are certain times of day that they do not take reservations. When I went for brunch my wait was no longer than 15-20 minutes. There seemed to be enough parking on the property, may just be a bit of a walk on a busy day.
Are we allowed to order anything on the menu during dinner hours or just from the dinner section?
Are dinner reservations strongly recommended in October? Or would we be fine walking in?
The restaurant is lovely but also not that large and only inside dining area -- so it would be strongly recommended to make a reservation if you can! Enjoy!

Yup! We ordered them during lunchtime before. They are available all day, as far as I know.
Is it vegan friendly? If so, what options are there?
It does not cater to vegans specifically, but I had the sense they were very customer friendly and would modify dishes to the customer's liking, whatever the request. Some good salads on the menu that are either vegan or easily adaptable.
Do they have a gluten free menu? Or gluten free options? I can't find anything on their website.
