a basket of donuts on a counter

I'm not sure why this has to be complicated but it was. Dunkin Donuts is coffee and donuts, right? Maybe a breakfast sandwich? An order of a breakfast sandwich resulted in a wait that was absurdly too long. To top it off, why were the donuts on a rack not behind the counter? I'm sure that's not how it's supposed to be. If I said the wait was 15 to 20 minutes for my breakfast sandwich that would be about right. A half dozen other people were waiting as well and there seemed to be an adequate amount of employees, and a really long line at the drive through. It seemed as if the drive through line took precedent over those inside. I think that all of the drive through line took precedent over those inside. Not once did anyone even say it shouldn't be much longer or thank those waiting for being patient. With many other options for breakfast nearby I won't be returning. Dunkin Donuts isn't new and they should have this coffee and donuts and maybe a breakfast sandwich down.

Drive thru window at DD on S. Eola Rd, Aurora, IL. This is not the manager and was not involved in the conversation.

If I could give one star I would. I purchased a half dozen donuts on 10/23/20 in the drive-thru, b/c the store is still not open. Came home and they were hard as bricks. Called the store, spoke to a young woman who directed me to Aaryn. Explained my situation and that I did not plan to go back out again to get replacements, as the young woman had sais was necessary to do, today. Arryn apologized and said, because of my having to come back because of the bad donuts, he would give me a dozen upon my return, thus giving 6 free. I thanked him. He commented that the glazed donuts came out wrong today, and he wasn't sure what had happened. Told him that I would make it back that way on Sunday, 10/25, because I didn't live near that location. He told me to ask for him or Sam. Came back today, Sunday. Explained the conversation to the manager, who didn't give his name. Told him what Aaryn said. He said, he would not honor it and would only replace the bad ones. He went on to say, Aaryn never said that he would give me a dozen. I asked to speak to Aaryn. He was in. He at first, tried to say, he told me he would give me 6 and I could pay for another 6 when I came back. Now, why would anyone say that? That makes absolutely no sense. I then asked him point blank, Arryn are you going to stand here now and say that you didn't tell me that you would give me a dozen for my trouble. Giving me the extra six, free? Arryn, then admitted, in front of the manager, that he in fact had said, he would give me a dozen. Thank goodness he spoke the truth. However, upon hearing that, still, the manager argued against giving me the donuts. He said, I am only going to replace the bad ones. As if, I should be lucky that he was willing to do that much. Apparently, he thought it was too much to give 6 free donuts for my inconvenience of having to drive back and out of my way for the replacement donuts. He acted as if he was doing me a favor for replacing an inferior product. Before taking the replacement, the half dozen, which was due, I asked him to honor what Aaryn had promised. Agitated, the manager repeatedly refused. I told him, if this is how you run your business, not honoring what your employee promised, I would leave a poor review on Yelp. He didn't seem to care. Aaryn, the worker, did what was right. The greedy manager should have known better. The fact that Arryn was afraid to tell the truth reveals a lot about the greedy manager. Apparently, pleasing the customer is not a priority. Such bad service!

Recently they helped provide some pastries and cookies for a baby shower brunch. We had the cinnamon rolls, blueberry bread and lemon bread. All were delicious. Guests asked where I had gotten them and planned on checking the place out. They also made some absolutely adorable cookies to go with the shower theme for the guests to take home with them. They were individually wrapped and so adorably decorated. They were also delicious. (I forgot to take a picture before people started taking them so the giraffe is missing.) It's so nice to find a delicious bakery that is family run and local. And so much better than the grocery stores or chain donut shops and bakeries.

Been searching far and wide for a new place as we recently moved from AZ and can't find anything that comes close to the donuts we have back home. I would say this place comes pretty close. I surprised my wife with a box of glazed. They were not what we were used to but good nonetheless. Reminded me of a hostess honey bun but not with the super thick icing. But the cinnamon sugar donuts had me on cloud 9. My son and I devoured them in two. I was disappointed that I only got us 2. Safe to say definitely going back to get some more.

When we walked in, the bakery was completely empty, yet staff helped customers who came in after us while we stood at the register waiting for several minutes before finally speaking up. Once we mentioned we were there for AmazeCo, the employee helping us initially tried to hand us someone else's order even after we gave our name. After finally locating our box, we discovered it only contained croissants with bacon and ham. We explained that one person in our group cannot eat pork and asked if there was any possibility of exchanging an item, especially since every other stop on the AmazeCo experience was accommodating of dietary restrictions. The response we received was simply, "That sucks," with no attempt to help or offer an alternative. The lack of customer service and professionalism really left a bad impression, especially considering the positive experiences we had everywhere else that day.

This small shop does not have any seating. It is a grab n go place that way you're able to devour their sweets in peace haha. The donuts aren't labeled which made it hard for me to decide what I wanted. I did ask the staff member what some of them were which took a few extra minutes. I also did not see a sign for how much their donuts are. I stopped in on a Saturday around 830am and it was BUSY. A couple came in to pick up their custom made wedding cake while others were there for a Saturday sweet treat. Staff members were friendly and on top of their game. I got 2 donuts, Boston cream and maple pecan. Both were delicious and fresh. The Boston cream donut is a show stopper. It was thicccck and filled with a generous amount of custard. The dough was fluffy and the chocolate on top was not overly sweet.

Those items are a bit pricier than the rest but they are quite unique. The cruffins are flakey, sugary without being overwhelming, creamy but subtle, and very satisfying. I have a strong sweet tooth and I am greedy. So I generally like to try more than one item in one sitting. These portions are not small and I would recommend sharing if you want to try a variety. I have monthly appointments in the general area and I try to plan it so that I will have enough time before or after my appointment to make a quick stop at Fiene's. My visits are usually during the week and I would be in and out within 10 minutes.
