a basket of donuts on a counter
    Jason Z.

I'm not sure why this has to be complicated but it was. Dunkin Donuts is coffee and donuts, right? Maybe a breakfast sandwich? An order of a breakfast sandwich resulted in a wait that was absurdly too long. To top it off, why were the donuts on a rack not behind the counter? I'm sure that's not how it's supposed to be. If I said the wait was 15 to 20 minutes for my breakfast sandwich that would be about right. A half dozen other people were waiting as well and there seemed to be an adequate amount of employees, and a really long line at the drive through. It seemed as if the drive through line took precedent over those inside. I think that all of the drive through line took precedent over those inside. Not once did anyone even say it shouldn't be much longer or thank those waiting for being patient. With many other options for breakfast nearby I won't be returning. Dunkin Donuts isn't new and they should have this coffee and donuts and maybe a breakfast sandwich down.

Drive thru window at DD on S. Eola Rd, Aurora, IL. This is not the manager and was not involved in the conversation.

If I could give one star I would. I purchased a half dozen donuts on 10/23/20 in the drive-thru, b/c the store is still not open. Came home and they were hard as bricks. Called the store, spoke to a young woman who directed me to Aaryn. Explained my situation and that I did not plan to go back out again to get replacements, as the young woman had sais was necessary to do, today. Arryn apologized and said, because of my having to come back because of the bad donuts, he would give me a dozen upon my return, thus giving 6 free. I thanked him. He commented that the glazed donuts came out wrong today, and he wasn't sure what had happened. Told him that I would make it back that way on Sunday, 10/25, because I didn't live near that location. He told me to ask for him or Sam. Came back today, Sunday. Explained the conversation to the manager, who didn't give his name. Told him what Aaryn said. He said, he would not honor it and would only replace the bad ones. He went on to say, Aaryn never said that he would give me a dozen. I asked to speak to Aaryn. He was in. He at first, tried to say, he told me he would give me 6 and I could pay for another 6 when I came back. Now, why would anyone say that? That makes absolutely no sense. I then asked him point blank, Arryn are you going to stand here now and say that you didn't tell me that you would give me a dozen for my trouble. Giving me the extra six, free? Arryn, then admitted, in front of the manager, that he in fact had said, he would give me a dozen. Thank goodness he spoke the truth. However, upon hearing that, still, the manager argued against giving me the donuts. He said, I am only going to replace the bad ones. As if, I should be lucky that he was willing to do that much. Apparently, he thought it was too much to give 6 free donuts for my inconvenience of having to drive back and out of my way for the replacement donuts. He acted as if he was doing me a favor for replacing an inferior product. Before taking the replacement, the half dozen, which was due, I asked him to honor what Aaryn had promised. Agitated, the manager repeatedly refused. I told him, if this is how you run your business, not honoring what your employee promised, I would leave a poor review on Yelp. He didn't seem to care. Aaryn, the worker, did what was right. The greedy manager should have known better. The fact that Arryn was afraid to tell the truth reveals a lot about the greedy manager. Apparently, pleasing the customer is not a priority. Such bad service!

Was served a raw strawberry donut. Otherwise, the rest of order was fine. Did not expect to have a raw donut at Dunkin' Donuts.

Warm donuts attractively dressed with frosting, fast service. Not enough tables and chairs to eat in.

The weird part was asking if i had a punch card and when i said no they didn't offer me one either? Either way, i got the taro strawberry smoothie and a hazelnut iced coffee. Neither of us enjoyed the drinks because they're very syrup heavy resulting in a drink that's wayyyyy too sweet. It just tastes like drinking concentrated syrup and powder blended/mixed with milk. Barely tasted any taro. Having some real ingredients like frozen strawberries with taro powder is what I'd expect at this price point. Not both ingredients being powdered and syrups. The tapioca itself was really good, soft and not too chewy. But there's just way too much of it, you're eating boba more than enjoying a drink. The brown sugar syrup that the boba sits in doesn't help with the additional sweetness in the drink. Wouldn't recommend for real drinks

One of Aurora's (Chicago Suburbs) Best Boba Tea Spots!…read more After traveling around the world and tasting boba from Taiwan to Singapore, I can confidently say that Vannie House in Aurora delivers some of the best tapioca pearls I've had in the U.S. The pearls are perfectly chewy, fresh, and absolutely on par with the quality I've experienced in top-tier Asian tea shops. One thing I really appreciate is the tapioca-to-drink ratio. Most boba shops either overload you with pearls or drown everything in too much liquid. Vannie House nails the balance, every sip and scoop feels intentional and well crafted. I tried several drinks on my visit: M9 (modified with Thai Tea) -- Smooth, flavorful, and extremely well blended. A3 Orange Peach with Black Tea -- Sweet, refreshing, and surprisingly layered in flavor. Hot Chai Tea -- Rich, warm, and incredibly smooth. Easily one of the best chai teas I've had at any boba shop. The interior decor is also a standout, clean, modern, cozy, and aesthetically designed. It's the kind of place you actually want to sit and enjoy your drink rather than rush out. Huge shoutout to Niko, whose recommendations were absolutely on point. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, exactly the kind of service that keeps you coming back. If you're in Aurora and looking for high-quality boba tea, Vannie House (my #47 Boba Tea Spot) is a must-try. I'll 100% be returning whenever I'm in the area.

Also a few things to eat. The prices are too high but great stuff. A lot of menu items available. It's got a couple of order screens where customers place their own orders. We saw a lot of interesting ones. I got the Matcha Latte. Pretty typical but there was the right amount of sweetness. Has some food. Mostly basic stuff. It's about $2 to get a hash brown. Yes that is not even a couple of hash browns, but they taste pretty good though. It's about $5 to get a few pretzel bites. On my second trip I brought my nieces along who were super excited because they had seen some of the drinks on TikTok. One got a golden hour breve which she really enjoyed except that she went against my advice and asked for extra drizzle and vanilla bean cold foam so the bottom of the drink was just like concentrated sweetness. The other one got an iced milk tea with the brown sugar boba and vanilla bean cold foam and was "in heaven" with how good the drink was according to her. I got the seasonal horchata latte for myself and it was a decent take on the drink and worth trying but I think I preferred the golden hour breve. My nieces also tried the chocolate chip cookie and cinnamon sugar donut bites with caramel sauce. They liked the cookies but thought they'd be more warm/fresh out of the oven. They loved the donut bites with that tasty caramel sauce though. I think I might give the pretzel bites option a try next time I stop in. The shop has a really clean look and feel. It's pretty hands off with kiosk ordering and digital menus but when the staff did interact with customers they were friendly. Unless you're going to be downing your drink quickly I would suggest ordering extra ice when it's warmer out. Both times I ordered I noticed my ice was gone pretty quickly. I know it's a normal thing that happens when you have hot coffee or boba syrup mixing with iced elements but just thought I'd mention it to give a heads up to others.
