Carbs and more carbs at Dunkin' Donuts, Boynton Beach
    Bruce K.

A large coffee for the road as I start my drive back to Charlotte. I stopped in at 8am and this Dunkin' was cranking through customers. Everyone was wearing masks - customers and staff - but some of the customers need to be reminded how much distance is involved in six feet. I got my coffee and was on my way within a few minutes. The store is in a small strip mall at the southeast corner of Boynton Beach Boulevard and Military Trail. Enter from either. Parking is tight and there is a lot of movement to and from the donuts, so pay attention. [Review 13699 overall, 1019 of 2020, number 1110 in Florida.]

I went to this location happens to be close to me. I ordered bagel mini bites and once I got to work and bit one of the mini bagel bites I chipped my front teeth smh. I was so upset barely could work especially after looking inside it. I went in this morning and spoke with the manager, showed him the bagel that I bought and apologized for what happened to me and my food. Offered something to deescalate the problem. I had a bad taste in my mouth for cooked food so I took a donut instead. He was very kind and called the owner about my situation and sent the pictures. This was at 7:10am and I haven't received a call from the owner or the manager. I hope they didn't brush me off but we shall see. Thought I'd share my experience in the meantime.

Benefits of having a DD location near work is that in the past few years, I have tried almost every drink on the menu. Also, drinks that were creations by the employees and they thought I needed to try something new. Well, I honestly love every coffee drink to a certain degree. My favorites have to be with espresso shots within the drink. Recently being on a 30 day cleanse, I cant have dairy products. So I cheated a bit and started having my coffee drinks with almond milk. Ya, it's not real deal but better than nothing. I think if you need caffeine, then you have to see what you can get. Some days I get regular espresso shots as well, does the trick. This particular location is kind of near my home. They do a great job in maintaining the store front. The drinks come out good and service is fast.~

It seems that in the recent few weeks we have been visiting Dunkin Donuts a little bit more frequently. This particular location of Dunkin' Donuts is at the southeast corner of Boynton Beach Blvd and military trail. We were at the car wash on Sunday and Rabia J wanted to get a caffe latte so we yelped the closest Dunkin' Donuts and this location popped up. This is a non drive thru location and is housed in the same plaza as dominos and a few other businesses. Actually we saw more domino pizza employees in the store than Dunkin ones. Service was pretty good and the store was immaculate and clean which is important as there competitors like Starbucks usually keep a very clean look which is what most customers prefer. Wish we would have gone early morning so I could have tried the donuts which are usually the freshest early morning. I guess that's the excuse I can use to get there again pretty soon.

    Bagel With Cream Cheese

Every single time i order from this Dunkin they always miss an item or send crappy put together food, i ordered a bagel with cream cheese and i get a bagel with bits of cream cheese like come on my 2yr old could do better. This location needs to do a lot better because every weekend they suck and its common sense to put basic food items together given to you through a simple menu. Shame a fucking shame

Super excited to have this brand new and clean Dunkin' so close to our house. My first experience was friendly, fast, and my order was accurate. You can tell that the manager/staff cares about doing a good job. Hopefully they keep it up and don't lose their mojo like some other locations in the area. There isn't a drive thru and online ordering is still being setup but they're off to a great start!

Not only do they use syrups, but they also use unique toppers and milk options!!!! One of my favorite drinks is the banana latte which uses banana milk and is topped with dried bananas. It was almost empty in the parking lot out front as we pulled up to the place except for one lone car. The app said they were open for another hour so we took a chance. Inside, the place needed a good cleaning. And many of their bagel options were gone. The staff was more than ready to leave. We ordered and paid at the counter. They have a few tables inside and a few tables on the outside patio. We didn't realize when we got there that they do mainly takeout, but decided to eat in. We got our food in a paper bag even though we'd said we were eating in. I asked for a plate, but it seems they don't (won't?) give them out if you order a bagel (!) so we ate over the ripped open paper bags. The bagel itself was fine -- lightly toasted. I got a sesame one from the few choices left. The nova lox bagel had cream cheese, capers, red onion, and a large portion of lox. It was messy, but good. It was a more than sufficient lunch even though it was strange eating in an empty restaurant. A few folks did run in and out for a couple bagels while we were there, though. Now that we've been, we probably don't need to return -- at least not to dine in.

This is the first location of The Seed that I've been to, so I'm not sure how other locations compare, but this one was pretty small in general with limited seating inside. Luckily my fiancé and I got there while it was empty, so we were able to choose two of the four bar seats along the wall across from the counter. I had a latte with almond milk and house-made lavender syrup, and we each had a classic croissant sandwich. Latte with house-made lavender syrup: I really enjoyed this. My fiancé described this as a "mix of coffee and tea", which I think was fitting. The lavender syrup sweetened the coffee with light floral notes and the latte was a great balance between herbal, floral, and creamy overall. Classic croissant sandwich: The egg patty was pretty thick, I'd say just under a 1/2" thick. It was packed with bacon and cheese, and the sandwich was toasted the way I liked. The croissant was buttery and flakey, and overall I enjoyed the sandwich. There wasn't anything unique about the sandwich though, it was just a solid breakfast croissant sandwich that was made well. No special sauces or other ingredients. I guess that's why it's the classic. The staff was nice and pleasant, and our food and drinks were made in a reasonable amount of time. I do think the food and drink were a bit overpriced for what it was (our bill was ~$40 for two sandwiches and two drinks), but they say the ingredients are all locally sourced so I'm assuming that's why. Overall, this was a great experience and I'd certainly choose this The Seed over a larger chain coffee shop. Just know that the dollars can add up quickly here!

I ordered an iced cappuccino with whole milk and honey (they only offer 2 milks - whole and a homemade cashew milk). We got our drinks and proceeded to the beach. Sip 1, I started to feel funny and thought there was no way they didn't put whole milk in my drink. 2nd sip, and my whole body began to sweat, throat started to tingle, and I began losing strength and energy. Surely enough, the barista had made my drink with the homemade cashew milk. I'll spare you the details of the proceeding traumatizing events of my anaphylactic shock, but I am thanking the lord I was with people I love, had my EpiPen, and that the ambulance EMTs, and doctors at Bethesda Memorial ER were wonderful and attentive. I would like to acknowledge who I believe was the owner. He overheard my sister run into the cafe to ask the barista what kind of milk was in the drink. After she left the barely-drank drink on the counter and ran out, he chased us down the sidewalk when we were rushing back to our hotel and offered us Benadryl he had on hand. Obviously, he did not realize how severe the situation was and the Benadryl exited my body just a few minutes later, but it was kind of him to do. I am writing this review as both a warning to patrons to verify the ingredients in their drinks before drinking them if they have life-threatening food allergies like me (I obviously wish I had heeded my own advice). I am also writing this as hopefully a wake-up call for the employees of Deke's: food safety is your #1 priority as a food and beverage establishment. You offer only TWO milks. I asked for one of the milks, and you gave me the other, which was a milk made with 1 of the country's 9 major food allergens (tree nuts). This is not a situation of me not liking my drink - this is a matter of life or death. I was lucky enough to be with people I love and have a life-saving medical device at my hotel that I was able to use when my body was being deprived of oxygen and shutting down on itself. Some people are not so lucky. While I am sure you take pride in the drinks you are making, I am urging you to take more care for the people who are drinking them.
