If I could give zero stars I would. While waiting on line for my coffee, a customer returned to the counter with her bag of food saying she received the wrong item. The employee (seemed like the owner or at least manager based on his interactions with the other employees) put her food back in the rack to sell again and gave her what she wanted. This is disgusting and I'm sure illegal. Separately, both coffees we received (regular and decaf) were the worst we've ever had, and we like Dunkin coffee. They tasted like dirty water with a ridiculous amount of milk. Based on the other behavior I witnessed here, I'm sure the coffee grounds were used repeatedly for this unscrupulous proprietor to maximize profits. Can agree with everyone else that this Dunkin location needs to work on their customer service skills. Staff rudely rush customers through the entire process. You get yelled up "Next!" and then are curt with you on all your questions. A major annoyance was that this location didn't have the 2 for $5 deal that nearly all the Dunkins I've been to advertised for their bacon egg and cheese on a croissant. We got charged $10, wow. They also won't be doing the $2 medium lattes that most Dunkins have been advertising all summer. Really don't understand the lack of promos/deals here since they get a ton of service from so everyday airport customers. This place is the only coffee place on terminal 5 at ORD so I had no choice but to dunkin' . Understandably this place is busy and has a long line but they do a good job at keeping the line moving a long. Their customer service is alright, these people are just doing their job and I get it, its exhausting and non stop. I do wish they offered cups for water. Their coffee its a bit too sweet for me and I usually stick to black coffee. But you can always modify your drink and its a fair choice if you have nothing around. read more

This location gets busy, waiting in a long line, someone recommended that I order using their app. I had only 15 minutes before boarding and a long walk to another terminal ahead of me. I immediately downloaded it, ordered and skipped at least a dozen patrons waiting in line. This was the impressive part. The service was okay and thankfully with little interaction. Coffee was the usual D&D, not much too goad nor gripe about...other than the terrible and cockamamie lids. Boom--one star deduction due to the coffee splashing on my hands, on my shirt and tie. Festooned with stains on garb and a mildly blistered body I heartily chucked the coffee straight in the trash, with an extra forceful chuck to express my contempt and disdain for their not having provided traditional sip lid. That is one with a sip port and a tab to cover it while making way to gate. Go to Starbucks 30 feet down.....yeah, stronger and more bitter coffee --but the proper lid is an admirable trade off. read more

I should have stuck to donuts. In high school, I really enjoyed DD's bagels and cream cheese after eating them on the regular at my first job working as a campaign staffer. When I spotted a Dunkin' Donuts in the food court at ORD a bagel sounded like the perfect breakfast. Oh, how wrong I was. First, the line: there are multiple people taking orders and moving around each other behind the counter. They are aggressive (though not rude - just completely no nonsense and have no tolerance for questions or indecision) and it's hard to communicate because they are not always in front of you when trying to take your order - I had to shout past two people ahead of me because the order taking is faster than the cashier and cooks. After taking my order, the man called back to the "kitchen" (aka some toasters/warming equipment) my order of a bagel with cream cheese but asked for it toasted. I corrected him that I wanted it untoasted (I like the chewy goodness and dislike melted cream cheese) and he called it back again saying to make it untoasted. I paid and stood there waiting for a few minutes. One of the women preparing orders called out, "plain bagel, toasted" and after no response called out the order number. It was mine, so I told her I had asked for it untoasted. About a minute later I was handed a bag. I went to sit down, opened my bag, and was very disappointed. 1) These are definitely not the same bagels they use in store (or at least not the ones they used to use, it's been a realllllly long time since I've been to DD for a bagel). This was a dense, hard, grocery-store-freezer-section bagel. I should have learned my lesson after ordering a bagel at another chain in the Atlanta airport; it was a local bagel shop but they, too, pulled out a pre-packaged bagel and it was served cold and hard. 2) The cream cheese was a prepackaged tub of generic cream cheese; again, not the light, creamy spread I remember from other DD experiences. The single-serve container did have a generous portion, so I do appreciate that, as it was needed to cover every inch of bagel to make it edible. 3) They do include a knife in the bag, which is great if you are grabbing it and dashing out of the food court to your gate or to board; the cream cheese is very dense so you need the knife for spreading as dipping would just demolish the bagel as you tried to scoop the hard cream cheese. I had almost been completely gluttonous and ordered a donut with my bagel because the chocolate glazed looked super tasty, and in retrospect I wish I had; even a bad donut is still likely better than a bad bagel. TL;DR - don't expect the same products you find in regular DD stores at this DD kiosk in the airport. read more

The line here always goes by pretty fast since I am sure that the workers are used to people coming and going, and whom are always in a rush since they need to catch their next flight. They have a large amount of choices here, but I usually end up getting the iced coffee with butter toffee and hazelnut flavor. The iced coffee at dunkin donut sucks its super watery and so sweet, I only get it because sometimes I need some sugar to get me through the day and don't feel like waiting in line at Starbucks.
