Every time we walk in, he treats our family like we're regulars. He's genuinely kind, welcoming, and always takes the time to make our kids smile. Fresh donuts should be the bare minimum at a donut shop. Service has been equally ho-hum; slow, indifferent, and not particularly welcoming. The atmosphere follows suit, with messy tables, sticky floors, and a dining area that has felt neglected on multiple visits. It's just not an inviting place to sit down with a coffee and donut. What makes it frustrating is knowing how good Country Donuts can be. The Crystal Lake location consistently delivers fresh donuts, good coffee, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere.
