I was traveling for work and noticed this Dunkin Donuts, so stopped before departing. Admittedly, I had never been to a Dunkin Donuts prior to this stop, but always heard rave reviews, so gave it a shot. For me, the coffee was just okay, nothing special. The egg/bacon/muffin sandwich I had was fine, but nothing memorable. And, the Boston Creme donut was good enough, I guess. I don't get the rave reviews though. I could get something similar from a gas station! I should add that my experience at this particular location was a little disappointing due to a customer coming in with her bratty kid that she allowed to run around the place without supervision. The kid was loud and annoying - not something I wanted to deal with. Additionally, the Albanian manager behind the counter was abnormally loud too. While I was trying to order food, he was talking loudly to one of his coworkers about going out the night prior - it was like a Jersey Shore moment...loud and obnoxious. Anyway, I give 2 stars due to the donut at least being fresh and the coffee being hot. I can't think of anything else that would make me feel better about this place. Now that I've experienced Dunkin Donuts, I can't say that I'll be back. read more

I decided to bring in donuts for work. I stopped by for 4 dozen donuts, I thought I was not picky, just wanted a mix. They had some donuts pre-boxed and I thought, wow, what a time saver. I get the boxes to work and to my surprise the donuts were all a little stale AND the mix was only the cheap versions. In 4 dozen donuts there was only one filled with anything, and it was shaped as a heart - so I'm guessing it was from Friday. I am so disappointed in this experience, I wanted to do something nice for my coworkers and I feel as if I failed thanks to Dunkin'. read more

The Miller Parkway location needs to start taking tips from our friends on Layton. I crossed paths with this Dunkin's 27 hours after I stormed out of the Miller Parkway location for their lack of ANY chocolate donuts (see review). I was still craving that chocolate long john, and I thought it would be funny to see what this location had at 6PM on New Years Day compared to what the other guys had on New Years Eve at 3PM. Not only did they have my chocolate long john, they had about six other chocolate donuts and close to 20 other variety of donuts. That's whats up! Extra points for that long john tasting fresh at 6PM on a holiday. This is the "OG" Dunkin's, the first one I was ever at and I know for a fact it's been in the same building for the past thirty years without anything being changed outside of the interiors and signage. That means no drive thru, a very tight parking lot and maybe a little trouble getting back on Layton like past reviewers have said. I don't think that's changing anytime soon since they're using every last square inch they have and the land on all three sides of them is owned by someone else. It loses a star just for being a headache to park in, let alone get out of. Customer service here has been top notch for years, some of the best service out of any fast food establishment I know of. It's nice to go into a DD and not be obnoxiously asked "WHADDYA DRINKIN!!" Still way worth a stop, especially if you have a late night hankering for some Dunkin goodness. read more

They remodeled a while back and I went there for take out doughnuts. They were entirely than the great doughnuts they had for years. They we old and dry. I went back hoping I just got them on a bad day. I didn't, their doughnuts are inferior to many of the good ones to be had in other doughnut shops or bakeries. Turns out they no longer made there! They are made elsewhere earlier and the have them shipped in. I asked. I think Duncan D is changing what it is. They certainly can't compete with real doughnut shops or bakeries any more. read more

Why do I feel like Homer Simpson every time I walk in here? mmmm donuts...... I've been coming here for years to pick up early-morning fat pills for my coworkers. Bakery has always been fresh, and service has always been fast and friendly enough. No complaints there, that's the brand. That's what we expect. It's always struck me as odd how many people work here. There is more space behind the counter than in front of it. I counted 8 workers there today, 8!!! I don't think the McDonald's next door has that many people working the breakfast shift. I'm not complaining, it's great for service. It just seems weird. My beef is the parking lot. By far, the most crowded, worst designed lot of any of the fast-food restaurants on Layton Ave. There are about 10 spots, and it seems no matter where you park, you are always in danger of backing into someone or getting picked off by someone flying into the lot at Mach 2 from Layton Ave. For God's sake, put in a drive through!! The parking lot is bad enough to drag this location down a star, except you always have those damn tasty free samples that I grab on my way out the door. Damn you Dunkin! Stopped by recently to grab a bite and some tea. Like others have said there are close to 10 people working behind the counter which does make service very quick. My only complaint is that they don't have much in the way of selection. Maybe I should not hold it against this DD but maybe DD in general. They only have one kind of black tea.....its 2015, and there are a lot of tea drinkers...at least give me more than one option for black tea.....Again, I know a corporate complaint and should not be directed at this DD. I also asked for honey, which they said they don't have. Overall a decent DD with quick service and a relatively large selection of standard donuts/bagels/muffins. As others have said, the parking lot sucks...its really small and difficult to maneuver. read more

I tried to order the Avocado Toast (2) on your App. There is NO PLACE FOR SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS. I cancelled my order because I did not want the topping on the toast. Drove to the store. There is my CANCELLED ORDER sitting there. I was charged for a cancelled order. The lady behind the counter just wanted to scream at me and tell me it was not her fault. I told her I cancelled the order, she just kept screaming at me and would not listen. So I had to in person order 2 more pieces of toast and pay Another $5.98, so $12 for two pieces of toast. Do not go to the Dunkin Donuts on Layton Avenue in Milwaukee. If you have been there you all know exactly which employee I am talking about. I will never return. Too many other options. read more

The coffee is great when you get it the way you order it. One of the morning shift lady tends to do the coffee the way she sees fit not the way you ask for it. By the time you check you're coffee you are to far away to even go back and complain. This is the only Dunkin I don't get the best coffee from. read more

This is the best dunkin in the city. They treat me like family and genuinely care. When I come in alone they ask about my wife and my child. I'll start by saying that I don't eat donuts and have never had anything other than coffee from this location. That being said, the coffee is fantastic. It's also cheaper than other places for a giant cup. Plus they have afternoon savings on a lot of beverages. I've been in the store to place an order probably 20+ times. Disastrous, these people all act together as one rude group. It started when I placed my order on morning of 9/11, the cashier, in the attempt to hurry me out of there pushed my order forward to me and in doing so knocked my Xtra lrg coffee over spilling it all over my money, my wallet, the food I ordered and did nothing to help me not even an apology instead he went to grab his mop bucket. I had to clean up and dry up all my stuff, they re-poured me another coffee but not even close to the way I wanted it. So heres the kicker, I go back to the store the following Monday on 9/14 and I walked in and ordered the same thing as I do every week/ day that I visit and I receive the cold shoulder, no good morning, no THANK YOU, nothing, there was absolutely no dialogue from the staff as if the whole incident the prior friday was all my fault. The DD in New Berlin and the one in Hales Corners need to get some training from the staff at this location! I have had several less than pleasant experiences at both of those locations. The staff at this location is always smiling and friendly no matter, how busy they are. The coffee drinks and sandwiches are consistent and I know that even if I order a turbo shot, or extra this or that it will be exactly what I order. I drive out of my way to go to this DD....and it is well worth it! read more
