    They replaced Baker Square w/Dunkin
    Phil S.

Why Dunkin' cause it was there after we left Lutheran General Hospital my wife wanted a cup of Dunkin. We both got a donut. I got the Apple fritter & my wife got the blueberry donut. To begin w/I'm not a huge fan of Dunkin anyway. This Dunkin was built brand new & replaced a Bakers Square (wahhhh). I'm sorry to say you can't replace a Bakers Square w/Dunkin. To me Dunkin provides a very mediocre donut especially w/all the places like Stan's, Do Rite & Firecake to name a few. This particular Dunkin Donut is located on Demster just east of Lutheran General Hospital.

Pay and pickup windows for their drive-thru.

I visited this brand new Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins.  It's a conveniently located, large and airy location and everything here including the large parking lot is newly constructed having replaced an old and rundown Bakers Square location.   I had a large coffee with cream ($3.09) and a Bavarian creme donut ($1.59).  They like to put the cream in themselves, and it might have been a tad on the heavy handed side, so next time ask them to go light if you're not sure.  The coffee was very good, like the DD of old. It seems it's not always so at some DD's these days.   The donut was very fresh at 9:30am but seemed on the smallish side for $1.59, but that's the trend these days isn't it ha. Their space is clean, comfortable, bright, and airy.  They also had a lot of staff on hand and I counted 8.  Also a steady stream of customers at mid-morning.  You're now the biggest and the best DD in the vicinity, so welcome to the neighborhood!

$1 for a small cup of sink water

The food is usually OK although sometimes the bagel sandwiches are burnt. My complaint today is I usually order a cup of ice water. They were starting to charge $.50 for a big cup and now today they charged me a dollar for a small little cup of sink water. That's not fair.

Delicious Banana Split - thank you Norreen for making the perfect every single time!!

Yesterday was the first or second 70 degree day of 2026, so the weather was perfect and the seasonal re-opening of the DQ a mile away was to our advantage because the crowd was a bit quieter here and we were able to find a street spot. I think my daughter was overwhelmed when we walked in; there are lots of choices. She could barely contain herself, but I guess that's to be expected of a two year old. I got her a kiddie scoop of decadent chocolate, which she liked but may have been a bit too chocolatey for her. Or maybe she just wanted to taste a bit of mine and was done with the chocolate. I got a single scoop of the caramel ice cream. I'm not really sure if the sizes were different or if it was the size of the cup because they seemed the same. Both ice creams were so flavorful, really rich. It's a dangerous place to stop that's for sure. But next time I'm getting a scoop of each! As with almost all the South Park businesses, there's no dedicated parking. You'll look for street parking. South Park is across the street so I imagine some days at the wading pool with a stop for ice cream afterward are in our future. There's seating both in and outside; we sat outside and it was really pleasant. They have pre-portioned ice cream in a cooler inside as well as ice cream cakes, and a water dispenser as well. They have a little cart that I've seen at various functions around town as well, if you're out and about and happen upon them. You can also rent the cart for your own event! The staff were helpful, the store was neat and tidy. This is a wonderful small business in Park Ridge and we're so lucky to have them here!

No, I didn't eat all three at once; it took a few hours. I think I liked the crème brûlée one the best. The custard was great and the sugar coating was outstanding. I ordered from the counter and service was pretty quick. The place was very lively and quite busy on a Sunday morning. Anyway, so I saw someone else get the chicken and waffles, and I said, I gots to get me some of those. So I did. So the donuts were 5 stars easily. Each one was great. The coconut and the pistachio donuts were not very big, but still an average sized donut. The crème brûlée was bigger. The chicken and waffles consisted of 2 rather large fried chicken tenders on a fairly big waffle. There was a light syrup coating the chicken. Very large portion for $13. My only complaint was it tasted like the chicken was fried in old oil that perhaps needed to be changed. I'm sure they go through a lot of fried chicken, fried potatoes and other fried fishes, but the chicken was darker than it should be and tasted like old oil. I noticed another person next to me who got fried potatoes, and they too, were very dark. Still, the chicken was good, and I consider this to be minor and maybe doesn't happen on a less busy day. I would go back if I'm in the Niles/Skokie area again, because there are other donuts and breakfast items I'd like to try. The price is very reasonable for the portions you get.

Single use, non-recyclable styrofoam containers for donuts? Ridiculous and wasteful! What happened…read moreto using paper bags? Disappointed by the doughnuts, seems like the recipe was tweaked to make them fluffier/less dense for more profit, as if they weren't expensive enough already. Plus they were a weird yellow color inside, donuts dough isn't supposed to be yellow. HINT: if you consistently sell out of old fashioned donuts by 10 a.m., why don't you make more of them and less of the ones you have lingering in the case? Really stupid metrics employed here. We won't be back. :-(
