I ordered an iced latte, no ice and sugar-free pumps. She explained the cup will not be filled to the top. I already read a review by an employee who said that's because the button is preset for sizes, so I nodded and said "yeah it's preset, I understand". She looked very relieved. I asked for a little extra milk. The latte taste super strong! Also a couple walked in while I was waiting. So this place has steady business. I was going to Petco and wanted some coffee so I stopped by here. There is also a drive thru behind the building if you don't want to go inside. There was a lady in front of me in line who kept harassing the cashiers to make some more Bavarian cream donuts and they were handling it pretty well. When it was my turn the ladies at the cashier station were so sweet. I ordered a latte and a sour cream donut and I got it right away. I had to add some stevia to my latte since it wasn't sweet enough, but after that it was ok. I sat outside where there were three tables and got to enjoy watching the rain before I headed across to Petco. I might return if I'm in the area. The coffee was ok, but not enough caffeine. No need to worry about parking at this location since it's located at Pearl City Gateway (the one with Wal-Mart across the street). You may have to walk a bit but at least you'll burn a trace amount of calories making the walk over. Located across Longs, this Dunkin is in the same building as Ramen-ya, Subway & Supercuts. There's also a drive thru for added convenience. Donut quality is hit or miss (not just this location, I mean in general.) You'll either get soft and fluffy donuts or dry, mediocre donuts. It's not like you can eyeball a donuts freshness, so yep, hit or miss. I've recently learned about Dunkin Donut's collaboration with the Girl Scouts and their Girl Scout Cookie coffee flavor shots: Thin Mint, Peanut Butter Cookie or Coconut Caramel. The promo ends in May and I must say they need to keep the Peanut Butter flavor shot on their menu permanently. Iced drink tips: -Small is 16-18 ounces -Medium is 22-24 ounces (like an Sbux Venti) -Large is 32-34 ounces (like a McDonald's large) Iced coffee can go black, or add cream & sugar. Iced Macchiato (layered) vs. Iced Latte (more cream?) I prefer their Latte since I like it creamy. Donuts: -I'm not a fan of jelly donuts but gonna have to say I like Dunkin's version. I went yesterday especially for my favorite caramel latte. I pulled into the drive thru and when I got to the menu and order area there was a sign saying that their latte machine is down and none of their lattes are available. I asked if there was anything comparable that they could make me and they said that they were able to do ice coffee with caramel syrup. I reluctantly ordered a small, when I tried it the bottoms of my drink had some sugar or crystallized substance and it was horrible. What a waste of $4.00. Funny thing is that about a month ago their Kapolei location had the same issue. Latte machine broken or something similar no lattes available, so I didn't order anything and drove right thru their drive thru. It's sad as most of their drinks are lattes. Obviously the place to stop of you want some coffee with your donuts. If this place has a line it moves pretty quick. Right when you walk in you are greeted with the smell of donuts. Give it a big inhale and then you also get a second wave of coffee hitting your nostrils. There are a lot of options to choose from. But if you like donuts I have no doubt that everything is tasty. After dinner at Ramen-Ya, we stopped over a few doors down to Dunk in-Donuts to get a quick sugar fix in. Due to the variety and the fact that we just ate a good dinner, we just settled on some donut holes, which are actually not bad at all, especially since they have a good assortment to choose from. We just had the basic glazed, powdered, and the chocolate ones. They sell five for $1.30. Pretty good, but we still prefer Krispy Kreme, but this will do for tonight. Does size really matter? This has got to be the smallest DD or any donut shop I have ever been to. This includes all the places in the mainland. I swear a submarine galley is bigger than the main lobby. Good thing there's outdoor seating because indoor seating is like 5. Anyway at least this place has a huge sign telling everyone here is it. Right on the corner and across the La Tour restaurant (read the review?) you'll spot them. Immediately stepping in, is the counter to order. They still had a decent selection and all the flavors I've seen at the airport DD. For my order is half a dozen, I included the special mint donut and was told cost is slightly more then the regular donuts. I never hear this before so I'm not sure if it's because of location or all the DDs have their mint donuts at a higher price. Don't ask me how the mint taste. I only got one and the 5yo beat me too it when I came home. As for the rest of the donuts, come on really? It's donuts. Do I have to describe them? Ok warm, soft, and good. Overall three stars. Parking your car fine, trying to park your butt inside the place not so fine. On a good note, they have a restroom. You just have to squeeze between people to get to it. It sucks cause I like DD. What I'm upset about is that I got the wrong drink from the drive through and calling back to let the store know is very hard. No one answers the phone. I pay for a premium drink and get a regular drink. That's not right. I can't go back to the store until after I'm done with work which is close to 8pm. Save yourself the frustration of even trying to go here. Poor management would be the only possible reason for a coffee company/store to "not have their own coffee products". After winding through the drive through to order - you're informed at the speaker "we're sorry, we are out of these beans or those beans or other items". (Three attempts on different days in the past week = same results. Really???? Shameful.) The best scenario? You drove there only to be disappointed and if no cars are ahead of you - you drive around and leave. The worst scenario? Dunkin' Donuts is here in Hawaii and they've opened a pearl city branch! Everyone is going crazy because they're finally here! They offer donuts of course, bagels, breakfast sandwiches and of course coffee! They have a drive thru though! Only other place in pearl city for coffee that has a drive thru is coffee bean and tea leaf so that's co there's another option now. Cold and frozen beverages consist of iced coffee (dark roast, original blend, and decaf) cold brew, iced latte, iced macchiato, and iced tea your choice of green or black. They also have coolattas which are like smoothies but they're wayyyyy too sweet for my taste. Breakfast sandwiches are on the menu your choice of bagel, English muffin croissant or wrap. Of course since we're in Hawaii they offer Portuguese sausage, spam and the usuals bacon, turkey sausage and ham. Egg and cheese wraps are $2 for $2! Today's soft opening was for friends and family only. With a flyer you were able to revive a free drink of choice any size! A free breakfast sandwich with hash browns and a free donut! They also have muffins and bagels, because my cousin is an employee i was invited to this special event. This is a small location with 3 indoor seats. A few tables outside so it's looking like everything will be taken to go! My free order consisted of a large iced coffee with toasted almond syrup and cream and bacon egg and cheese croissant and hash browns. My donut of choice was a apple fritter. The coffee is strong! I definitely need to figure out how much cream and syrup next time because the coffee is strong but that's better than having it weak in my opinion. Breakfast sandwich. Croissant was crispy and soft bacon cooked right and egg was great. Hash browns were ono! Honestly i cannot remember the last time i had a donut? Is it because the good donut places (Kam bakery are in town) i honestly have no clue why but this apple fritter hit the spot. Grand opening is tomorrow at 5 am! I know they will be busy because this is the one of three locations on Oahu and who doesn't love good coffee? I think i will be the Dutchess in no time I'm am literally 2 minutes away. Since Dunkin Donuts opened in Pearl City, I love this place. Even though it is a small shop, they still are able to produce some variety of donuts, coffee, and breakfast sandwiches. I have been there a couple of times and even through their drive through. The prices are reasonable as well as you can get a half dozen donuts for around $7. Today I decided to get a half dozen of donuts and try one of their breakfast sandwiches. I got the brown sugar bacon egg croissantwich. The sandwich was good. Nice sweet sugar flavor of the bacon and buttery taste of the croissant. The donuts are of course yummy as I got 6 different flavors. Chocolate cream, chocolate glazed, chocolate with sprinkles...etc. I told my family to only eat half of each donut bc I wanted to try all the flavors. I will be back here again! Go Dunkin! read more

I was super stoked that Dunkin' Donuts opened up a store in Pearl City. One of the downsides of living in Pearl City is no Jamba close by (near Walmart side of PC) and no donut shops! All you had was foodland donuts which is good but sometimes you just want something different. I avoided Dunkin' for the first couple weeks then couldn't resist and had to come by. When I started writing this review I had high hopes. When the first opened it was obvious that they had some kinks to work out in the beginning and at times they seem to have gotten into their groove. I only went inside for my first visit. Why you may ask? I prefer the drive thru. With a toddler and baby, it is a hassle to get them both out of the car, order, etc etc. The drive thru is easy. Especially if you know what you want without having to actually see the donuts. Their hot food is good and I like their coffee. It's cheaper than Starbucks too . Now the best part is the reward system. I'm a sucker when it comes to loyalty points or stars...whatever you want to call it. I downloaded the app and it tracks it from there. You earn free drinks or food and all that good stuff! Now the worst part is they are hit and miss with getting your order right. I'd say they get my order right 60% of the time. Not great odds. Wrong donuts...wrong coffee...or the worst, the coffee is mostly cream with a hint of coffee (yup super milky white). I can live with the mistakes but my toddler is a big critic and will throw a fit if they don't give him the right donut. So to avoid this...make sure you check your order before you leave! Dunkin' Donuts is back in Hawaii! And yes, they've been back for a while now, but this is my first time ever visiting one! I just couldn't bring myself to wait around in the crowd during the grand opening(s). I was craving for a donut with coffee after breakfast (yes, I was still hungry) and I thought about going through the drive-thru because I was too lazy to get out of the car lol. I decided to walk in because I wanted to see the different types of donuts there were. I was surprised to see how small the store was. No space for tables to sit inside and the donuts were located behind the cashier so I couldn't see the different types of donuts until I was close to the register. I decided to go with a single maple donut (why I did that? Idk!) At 9:15am, there weren't much to choose from. A lot of donuts were gone. Don't get me wrong, the maple was good! I just gotta get more than one next time! I was in and out of the store and the service was adequate, nothing to complain about. Ample parking in Pearl City Gateway. I learned not to order it with almond milk cuz it just throws the entire taste of the drink off. 99% of the time, it's perfect. Maybe once the mix was off. I first visited this location within a few days of their grand opening. After the expected 20-30 minute wait, I was disappointed to find that the cute valentine donuts they advertised outside were nowhere to be seen. I ended up getting a few donut holes and decided I would be back after they were up and running for a bit. Two months later: A little bummed since I downloaded the DD app just to order my donuts and coffee ahead of time so that I could just pick up and go, but unfortunately this location does not support that service (or at least at the time I was doing it which was around 8am on Sunday morning), not to mention that you are forced to add money to your digital card on the app in order to complete the app setup. So I proceeded to go in and get them the old fashion way and was happy with the donut selection (almost all the racks were full) and I was able to get a dozen with no duplicates of donuts. The coffee side of their menu is a little overwhelming because of their many specialty coffees so I went with a plain old iced macchiato. It was delicious even without all the extra syrups added in. I was also able to get an extra shot of espresso inside plus sub for almond milk and it still cost less than other nearby coffee establishments.. *cough*cough*starbucks*cough* The lady at the register seemed new and was a little slow to ring me up for my items but I'm willing to overlook that for cheap delicious coffee and yummy donuts. I was very disappointed to find that almost all the donuts on the shelf was gone, and 'um how do they stay open? And like the airport location, only one register open so the wait in line is forever. I like the iced coffee. However, the service is horrible. Kaylee and the old lady are horrible. They should not be working a job that involves customer service. They lack common decency and common sense. They made it so difficult to pick up coffee. My experience here and the overall ambiance was bad. The workers need to be talked to about their attitudes. Used to love Dunkin in the beginning it was trending.. but than your realize that the donuts are really sweet not a lot of different variety flavors. The coffee is okay I usually get the Charli special or frozen hazelnut or frozen Carmel coffee... but nowadays it just hasn't been good to me personally if they added new flavors besides ordinary flavors and maybe toppings too that would be a big plus, also maybe a better menu of drinks? Till finally I asked "well what do you have?!", he answered "we only have sugar and powdered donuts"! So basically you're out of 11 donuts!!!!! So this Dunkin Donuts has a drive thru, and I recently just discovered that you can place a mobile order on the Dunkin app, and pick up IN THE DRIVE THRU!! Seriously a game changer for me, and great for all introverts alike LOL. Now I think food from Dunkin is great. Tasty 99 cent hash browns, good breakfast sandwiches and bagels. I enjoy some of their donuts, like the sour cream and French crueller. As for their drinks, my husband and I have found that their sweet, sugary flavor add ins are not that good. If you like basic coffee or lattes without all the sugary extras, Dunkin is an excellent choice. read more

Customer service is lacking at this location. Employees seem like they really don't want to talk to customers or take orders correct. All I ordered was an iced coffee and the employee was quick to make it "cookie cutter" style like every drink is exactly the same. She didn't give me the opportunity to say that I wanted a sugar substitute or non dairy option. I was very disappointed and felt rushed and wanted to just walk out. Luckily I needed my caffeine. If I could leave no stars, that would be more fitting for this location. Every other time I've been to this location, other workers were much more pleasant. The working staff today didn't seem to care at all. The girl taking my order, let me order hash browns, so I checked my order before I proceeded to leave, no hash browns. So I'm still at the window trying to wave at someone and they all just vanished. Then finally a lady, Caucasian with glasses sees me waving, rolls her eyes at me, tells another worker to go to the window and help me. The girl who took my order comes up with another worker who asks me what's the matter? I told them I didn't get my hash browns. She said sorry ma'am were out of hash browns and I was like well your worker at the driver thru window let me order them and didn't tell me they were out, so why did she still let me order them? The girl who took my order is just standing there quietly, does not say a thing. Frankly I think she just didn't care at all, didn't look like she wanted to be there at all. Worse service ever out of all the times I've been there. Hire people who don't treat their customer like crap! The customer service here is not great. Had a few coupons to redeem for a FREE donut. We were given them by a DD rep at a local craft fair. Cashier argued with me that I could only use 1 per day, but she'd let it "slide." Smh. I had my kids with me who each had a coupon. This review is for the one at Pearlridge Center. Great customer service. We got half dozen for $7.99. 3 vanilla cream filled. 1 jelly, 1 guava filled & 1 lemon filled. The hot green tea & the hot coffee was great. The reason for the 4 stars is the dough is quite heavy and not light like a regular donut. The filling itself is tasty though. The one thing I really like about them is that they give you the calories information right next to the donuts or muffins. read more
