Let me say this as clearly as I can, the donuts and crullers we just picked up were FANTASTIC, as fresh as could be, and 100% wonderful. We picked up a variety of cake donuts, traditional Yeast-Raised Donuts, cruller sticks, and donut holes the other day, and we were 1,000% happy with their taste, size, and freshness. I loved their Cherry Cake donut! It was so big I really should have split it with my wife but didn't. They have 28 flavors on their website, baked in small batches with rotating flavors. Prices start at $2.49 for a single classic glazed donut, then go to $2.99 for a filled donut (jelly, custard or fruit), and then $3.25 for Specialties. For you big spenders out there, a Cinnamon Roll is $3.49, and an Apple Fritter is $3.75. These prices seem pretty reasonable to me, considering how big and excellent I found their donuts to be,

Decided to hunt down a few different locations and this one popped up in the hunt. Location is a small space in a little plaza. Staff was friendly, recommended the strawberry donut. Price was 2 bucks a donut, so towards the higher side. Donut was fresh, dense with a heavy sugar shell and a strong artificial strawberry flavor. Not bad, but I prefer the lighter yeasty style donuts than the denser, sugar laden ones. As a local donut shop, it's good. The quality is there, but the donuts are not my style. They are good classic dunker style doughnuts though.

The sandwich was very good and chicken was crispy. I also got a maple cream iced coffee. It was a different set up than I'm normally used to because the coffee was already in the cups that you could choose from in the fridge. There were about 10 different flavors to choose from. I was then given ice and could make my coffee at the counter. I wouldn't come here for the coffee though I brought home a French toast bagel with cannoli cream cheese. It was very good, not too sweet. The bagel itself was crispy and with crunchy cinnamon sugar on the outside and dusted with powdered sugar.

They have storess in South Windsor, East Windsor, Manchester, Vernon, and Tolland, plus dozens of Big Y, Highland Park, Geissler, Price Chopper, and Shop Rite supermarkets. Their modern and very comfortable store interiors have the feel of an upscale bakery or café, so it's a great place to sit and unwind with homemade bagels, muffins, wraps, salads, lattes, frozen drinks, and more. The bagel choices have all your favorites (and a few more) like Blueberry, Cinnamon Raisin, Egg, Everything, Onion, Plain, Poppy, Pumpernickel, Sesame, Whole Wheat, etc. The bagels are pretty big -the one we had with cream cheese and smoked salmon last night was five inches across, so a half was enough. When my wife worked in West Hartford, Elmwood was a popular office destination for lunch, because they gave you a free cookie with every sandwich! Their menu is an embarrassment of tempting riches, with pastries, pies, deli and breakfast sandwiches, cookies, cupcakes, donuts, full cakes, breads, and rolls of every flavor and description. We stopped in yesterday for a few assorted odds and ends- cookies, donuts, and a wonderful loaf of soft rye bread. We asked for a chocolate croissant and a cinnamon bun, and while she was packaging them up, we spied a great looking mini loaf of chocolate chip banana bread that became art of our order. The cinnamon bun was great -super fresh, super moist with a great sweet cinnamon filling and vanilla icing on top. The croissant wasn't as good -it tasted stale and we were disappointed. The chocolate chip banana bread was fantastic -super fresh, super moist, bursting with banana flavor and lots of yummy chocolate chips. And that adorableness comes in twenty flavor varieties - peanut butters, candies, fruits, cookies, and of course...chocolates. They cost between $1 and $1.20 each depending on the quantity you want. I bought a box of fifteen for $15. I had some time to kill before my appointment in Rocky Hill, so I also ordered a small coffee, lemon, and almond donut to enjoy on site. Now that's easier said than done because the store is small and only has a counter with two stools. Luckily, both were vacant so I settled in, drank their excellent freshly made coffee (small for $3.50) and savored my little donut treats. Indulge By Palazzo also specializes in coffees and protein shakes to help you wash down those donuts, and it looks like they are set up to sell ice cream in season. We ordered a 8 pack of mini donuts and 2 protein doughnuts. The mini doughnuts came in a myriad of flavor combos. Those flavors were pronounced, the base is a cake doughnut so it's spongy but light. It's a good cake doughnut, but I'm not really a fan of cake style doughnuts. For me, cake doughnuts need to be right out the oven to be good. These were made recently, but cooled significantly and not to my preference. The protein doughnuts were dipped fresh. They were not much different in terms of consistency but it's a much denser doughnut and a bit of chew because of the protein powder. It also has the aftertaste of sunflower shells that health products tend to have. Not unpleasant, but makes it taste like standard "healthy" products It's not bad, but it's also not great. For the price is right for the quality, and it's one of the few dessert options for the area. It's worth a try if you're around or if you really like cake doughnuts, but I wouldn't trek there.
