I'm not usually someone who leaves reviews, but after visiting this location twice, I felt it was worth sharing my experience. Unfortunately, the customer service was disappointing both times. During my first visit, I wasn't greeted at all. I decided to give the location another chance, but today's experience was similar. I used the curbside pickup option and noticed there were no other customers. The employees were laughing and chatting in the back, and when one finally came out, he didn't greet me or acknowledge me in a friendly way. Customer service is a big part of the experience, especially in a customer-facing business. A simple greeting and a welcoming attitude go a long way. Unfortunately, the lack of basic courtesy made me feel unwelcome. Very disappointed. Because of these repeated experiences, I won't be returning to this location. read more

Came here for the free tote bag with purchase of min half dozen donut. I am glad the store still have it. We called couple store around peninsula and this store confirmed it has couple tote bags available. The store is not that large with couple parking spot available at the complex. As we came here for thecyote bag, we ordered half dozen donut and for sure the hash browns. I always order hashbrown when I visit Dunkin Donat store. I wish the portion is larger. I was disappointed with this location after having frequented the one in South SF. No one ever greeted me and I ordered through the kiosk, and then waited while everyone who came in after me was served before me and left. The supervisor or manager openly scolded the employees which was awkward, and when my order was finally filled it was just plunked on the counter before the supervisor returned and just pointed at me and said "this is yours" and went back to scolding. The parking lot was very small which is not their fault, but overall the experience was awful to wait so long ignored for just a dozen donuts and some munchkins. First time having Dunkin (yes.... I know I know) but haven't gotten to try their coffee yet. The guy (Fri 2/16 @ 540) behind the counter was very kind and sweet esp when he saw my kids and thought "extra munchkins" The donuts & munchkins were 10/10 according to 5 little kids! Loved the variety of munchkins. I'd say it's a cross between Krispy Kreme & mom/pop type. It's not doughy/dense and not airy.... In the middle. The powdered donuts were very nostalgic and brought back sweet memories of childhood eating them in the little white bag/box. We got a latte and an iced coffee. The coffee for the iced drinks literally comes out of a pouch in a plastic dispenser .. which I thought was odd for a franchise like Dunkin. The store was empty and the service was ok. The latte was good, but a bit flavorless and not as warm as expected. One drink had neither the syrup nor the milk that was ordered it was just straight iced coffee. One drink was literally just a cup of milk?????? And the last drink had no syrup and was super bitter. Service and cashiers SO nice and friendly!!! Just came out and am happy with food and how nice they were.

This Dunkin' is very small (no seating) so definitely more suited for grab and go. I grew up on the East Coast so I am familiar with Dunkin'. Their coffee is pretty decent although make sure to mix up the coffee if you get cream and sugar otherwise you get a pile of sweetness at the bottom. The donuts are not bad. I usually got the French cruller or more recently chocolate with sprinkles. My husband really likes Boston Creme. I think their donuts aren't the best but good if you just want a donut (I like Krispy Kreme better but theirs are more airy than Dunkin's). Last time we went a lot of things were down though: couldn't take credit cards and the espresso machine was broken! read more

Im surprised that this place has such low ratings. We got a mystery bag from "toogoodtogo" app and we shares with other Veterans at the VA and they were very thankful. The matcha was alright. My daughter loves her coffee. The parking here... if you have a truck.... you wont fit in that tony parking lot and spaces. I have a forerunner and even I was over the lines. I've been a regular at this location since they opened. I have had pleasant early morning conversations with the manager and numerous other friendly staff, both guys and girls. The tone at this place has started to shift and I'm not certain why. The manager has turned very cold but a couple of the long time employees have still been pleasant and sweet. Regardless, I'm the type to always tip service personnel even if the service is less than pleasant. But a couple months ago I went into this location with my service dog who's also been a regular at this location with me since they first opened, and one of the new staff members tells me that dogs aren't allowed in there (understandable, but she could've at least tried to seem somewhat friendly when saying it), to which I replied, "This one is." Then, last week, I go in and order my usual hot caramel macchiato (they do make a decent one) and pay with my watch. The screen does not allow for a tip to be left on the card. While I waited for my drink I went out to my car to see if I had a dollar or two to leave for a tip. My beard was long, my hair uncombed, and I was certainly not dressed to impress. I found $75 in the center console of my car that someone had paid me back from a loan, and so I bring it in and ask the same rude-ish new girl if she could break a five. It is not THAT she declined to break the five (so that I could leave a two or three dollar tip on top of a $6 cup of coffee, mind you) but the way that she took the opportunity to speak to me in such a tone and with such negative non-verbals as if I was a piece of trash for asking, "We can't just make change like that" with a deep scowl, and a lip-curl that would've made Elvis Presley take notes. There was probably about seven dollars in the tip jar that she could've easily exchanged the five with. I guess I should've explicitly stated, "I intend to give you a three dollar tip from this five and keep only two dollars from it" in order to receive a remotely pleasant attitude. Now I won't be back, and they get no tips from one of the few people who actually put money into that jar. Won't hurt them any. But I'm worth (and my tip dollars are worth) more than rude treatment from people who get paid to serve coffee. It's really not that hard, it shouldn't break the skills bank to treat customers like they are valued. read more

They should charge half price for their nitro cold brew, because that's all you'll get. They consistently underfill the cup and today I overhead one employee ask, "Have there been any complaints?" to which she responded, "Not yet." They know they are not doing the right thing and yet keep doing it. I have never been to a dunkin in my whole life. I was curious. I rolled in to a front parking spot and it was fate I tried this donut chain giant. I ordered my basic favorites. Old fashioned cake donut and French donut. The cake donut lacked a more crisp texture in the exterior and instead had a very basic dough interior and a bread like exterior without much interest in texture. I expected the French donut to have a more airy texture and eggy interior with a slightly crisp exterior. Instead it had a soft outside snd soft inside without the eggy interior I craved. The one thing I liked about the Redwood City Dunkin is the service. I might come back for their coffee or drinks since I haven't tried these yet. read more

Advertised coupon read $2 for Medium hot or iced Latte. The coupon was scanned and when this was done the price read $2.99. Neither clerks could honor the coupon price. I paid $2.99 because I was not going to argue with clerks. The register clearly had not been updated to reflect the $2 coupon price. Before leaving I asked for the corporate address or telephone number. Nope. They couldn't do that. One male clerk stepped to the back and called what I assume was a supervisor or franchise owner. The supervisor/owner wanted to speak to me (via phone) and when I did so he accused me of ordering the wrong thing. Nope. I ordered what was written on the coupon that I held in my hand. The male clerk held the phone with the supervisor at the other end.. It was being held at about knee height (where one's arm would naturally fall) and this required me to bend over to speak into the phone. I asked the clerk if i could hold the phone so I could stand upright. Nope. I couldn't do that. At least bent over there was some distance between us. When all was said and done, whatever they did make me was not a latte. I later learned it was an iced coffee. It was terrible. I paid $2.99. All I wanted was the advertised $2 medium hot or iced latte. A seemingly simple transaction turned bad. Before I left for good I had to ask for my receipt because they had failed to give it to me during the transaction. They dug through the trash bin to find one. When I arrived home I went to the online survey to report/comment on the transaction gone bad but the survey said that the survey code on my receipt was invalid. I will never go back. Chucks and Happy Donuts have been excellent for many years. Simple order. No simple solution. Ya'll will get the same coupon likely in your US mail just as I did. read more

Today I came and waited for over 5 minutes with no one from the 4 staff members even acknowledging me. If they needed to refill and prep, at least say something. I waited and waited, then started timing hoping someone would say something so I could buy my coffee and donut -- but nothing. 5 minutes more of being completely ignored and a long line forming behind me, I left. The line still hasn't moved over the course of me writing this review. I am mad, and without coffee. I'll be back because I love Dunkin, but it's experiences like this that make me hate myself for constantly buying overpriced shitty coffee. read more

Not sure if it's because the staff is undertrained here, but my friend and I ordered a dozen of spicy ghost pepper donuts via the mobile app on 10/30; however, upon going into the store, we found out that they no longer had the donuts available (wish they had contacted us to let us know in advance) but anyway, we asked for a refund to which the cashier didn't know how to process it. He called the office manager who ultimately told us that we needed to call the customer service number. I called, nobody picked up, I left an email, nobody got back to me, I tried chatting with a rep via the mobile app to which they asked me to fill out a bunch of questions.
