My coffee with the chockfull of coffee grinds lol what is going on here...

Is it the recent acquisition or this certain location that keeps on botching my coffee order... Recently, Philz has not been delivering on their motto of bettering people's days with their coffee. This particular order had a handful of coffee grinds in the coffee. These baristas have no idea what they are doing. Thanks for the love, Jo!

I came to this location for the first time for a quick coffee before work and the barista was kind when attending me and took my order quickly. there was a bit of a wait like about 8 minutes because a lot of ppl order in the morning but it was okay. I tried out the blueberry coffee sweet and creamy and it was DLEISH!! def coming here again bc the inside is decorated so cute and perfect for working or studying. great vibes

Amazing. Haven't been to Philz in a long while and missed it! Brought a friend to celebrate her birthday with a cold brew. She was delighted and wants to share the awesomeness with more friends. The person making our drinks was a bit of a piece of work. She didn't torpedo the experience but certainly could have. I had my fave rose cold brew creamy with very light sweetener. Still good as ever. Sat outside. Nice. Relaxed. Recommend!

Had jury duty this week and thank goodness there is a Philz in the area. It's the little things in life that make a tough week more bearable. Got to stroll around downtown RWC on the lunch breaks with a cup of Jakob's Wonderbar. This is a great coffee shop for the area--clean, organized with helpful staff. I am definitely adding it to my lineup for the area.

Mobile ordered ten mins before I was to arrive. My order was ready and waiting. The beyond meat breakfast sandwich with cholula sauce is a new favorite. Can't go wrong with the Philtered Soul Cold Brew. Good amount of tables to get work done. Baristas are friendly and seem to enjoy their time together. Music is vibey. I appreciate good music while I'm working.

Loved my drink today!! It tasted super yummy and also looked so pretty? The interior has limited seating, but long tables/good study space. There was still plenty of spots open to settle down and work. The drinks take a bit of time, but come out within 10-15mins. Staff is friendly and overall a great coffee shop in downtown RWC :)

Waiting for my Iced Mint Mojito

I love Philz. This was my first time at this location and was disappointed. My go-to is the iced mint mojito. I usually get the small or medium size but on this particular day, I wanted to get the large, b/c it had been one of those days. Hubby also got the same and we agreed it was not the best iced mint mojito we've had. and I had a LARGE of this sadness :( They also did not call out our names when it was ready which explains why it took so long to get our drink and barista was a bit rude when I asked if those were our drinks on the counter. I didn't realize parking was a nightmare here. It's all metered so we had to pay for parking in addition to get a not-so-good coffee :(

If you like sweet oat flavor this is it.

Quick take: My work location This is my Philz during the week. RWC fills the app orders pretty fast. Really tasty iced coffees. My favorite is an iced Honey Haze. Second choice is an iced Tesora. Thank you!

Ask the Community - Philz Coffee

Is the mocha Tesora vegan? (Mocha power)?

I don't think the choc has dairy in it, it's a cocoa powder... I have it make it with soy. Works great as a vegan option

    Where's the menu?

It's on the big board behind the barristers.

Everything here is made to order, so they do recommend using the app. Especially if you are in a hurry. I ordered: 1. Vietnamese coffee with salted cream: Surprisingly, this was a little sweet to me. I do recommend sipping it, instead of drinking it through a straw to get the full flavor. 2. Croffle w/ nutella: This was crispy and chewy. The nutella gave it a messy yumminess 3. Egg, cheese, and bacon croissant: This was delicious and surprisingly it didn't have that greasy oily feeling. It is very hearty. 4. I've purchased a little spider plant and an alocasia polly, which have both been great. The employees are knowledgeable about plants and give great recommendations, especially regarding succulents. They also have a fun selection of cards and gifts by local artists, although some of the prices are a bit unreasonable (like $40 for a tiny planter pot). The coffee shop is fine, but less exciting. Most recently, I tried the Bicerin off their seasonal specials, which was a Cortado with Nutella. I thought the Nutella would be somewhat mixed in for sweetness, but it was literally just a teaspoon of Nutella in my drink. I've tried their Chaga Matcha in the past, and it was also just okay. Will return for the plants and ambiance!

Service is fast. Not a lot of seating inside, but there are a couple additional small tables for 2-4 people outside on the patio. Chose the cheapest item on the menu, which was the taro ube sago for $7.95 before tax. Honestly, it's pretty hard to mess up taro ube sago, so at best, I'd say it only meets the standard. It was more of a dessert soup than a pudding, which is what I expected. Serving size definitely way too small for the portion amount, even if you say the glass jar itself costs ~$2 (and that feels like a generous estimate). I've made an entire pot of taro sago that served 15 people that cost about $8 in raw ingredients. Personally don't see the value in coming back, but if you're looking for Chinese desserts in a pinch, then this place does the job.

My first time here but my girlfriend who was visiting from Texas has eaten here recently while flying through to see her brother. This place very close to SFO airport so a great place to have breakfast Brunch or Lunch before picking up or dropping off at SFO as only 12 to 15 min based on traffic. THE FOOD: Cortado 10/10, Ice Tea 9/10 Flat White 8/10 (from Australian in our foursome) Hot Chocolate 9/10 Mixed salad Amazing. Soft boiled eggs perfectly cooked and balsamic on point. They have great sourdough served with delicious jam. We also had the prosciutto fig and goat cheese which was 10/10 and our friend from Texas enjoyed her GF Sammie. Husband had the Tuna Melt which he said 9/10 only because of the bread, he said 10 if he's had it on the acme sourdough ;-) Next time... The Place: Great location with lots of parking but not this past Sunday as huge event in town but in general loads of street and lot parking near by. Quaint seating inside and outside seating on both sides of this corner location. You order inside and seating is first come first serve so I imagine depending on the time of day it could be hard for any groups over 4 Employee Interaction: Super until the last person we interacted with. You order inside and they bring stuff out as made which is just the nature of busy brunch place. For example we had food come out in staggered spurts which is what you expect so as a example our friend who ordered first (10 min before us ) got her fig Sammie first but we got half our drinks first. Our food was staggered over a 15 min period also very expected at this type of brunch place. The problem came when the lady would brought the last food item the GF item and she said hey are we missing anything and I said yes my cortado and friend who ordered 10 min before we did so half and hour ago said she never got her hot coco. She was Super polite and brought them pretty quickly . We said thanks for finding them for us and she lectured us on how busy they are etc etc and were like WHOA THERE we did not complain although my friend could have as he drink came after she had eaten and 30 min after she ordered and yet we never complained. My complaint is with this staff members attitude, and I "assume" it came from dealing with folks expecting the food or drinks to all come out at same time and thats not how these types of places work. WE GET THAT and again it would have been a 5 had we not been lectured after thanking her for hunting down our drinks ;-) Will I be back SURE the food was great
