One of the better drive-thru Starbucks in the Bay Area, in my experience. The drive-thru lane is actually designed to handle volume. It's long enough to fit a good number of cars without backing up into the street, which already puts it ahead of a lot of other locations around here. Even during busier times, it tends to move at a steady pace. I've also gone inside a few times, and there's plenty of space to sit or wait without feeling cramped, which isn't always the case with some Starbucks locations. Drinks come out pretty quickly, and the staff seems to keep things moving without sacrificing accuracy. Overall, it's one of those locations that's reliable whether you're in a rush or planning to stay a bit. read more

*Negative* I dont normally take my time to review places unless i feel the service was so non existent something needs to be said. I went in on a monday at 1pm, no line ,maybe 7 customers total scattered throughout at table. Now granted there is a drive through with one car ordering. I order, that it self was painfull but not the point. I waited 27 min for a frap amd a water. After 20 i asked for my receipt for this very reason, i was just shocked they had 5 workers and they made 3 drinks in 27 min min. I dont know what there issue was but i didnt make some scene, got my receipt, drinks and left but, who knows maybe im impatient, or maybe im not a constistant enough customer to care. I really enjoy the convenience of the drive-thru at this Starbucks. It's a great way to grab my coffee on busy mornings. I do miss the old Burger King that used to be here though. The line usually moves quickly, so I never have to wait long. The employees are friendly and maintain a professional vibe, which makes a difference in the overall experience. My drinks are always prepared just the way I like them, and I've had no issues with my orders. I also appreciate how accommodating the staff is when I make last-minute requests that aren't on the app. Thanks to the early morning crew for helping me start my day off right! read more

I only get one drink so the food is a mystery to me. The drink flavor is consistant so that's a plus. The Starbucks on the 1100 block of Indudtrial in San Carlos is awful. That's why I started coming here. The service is good and it's a comfortable enough place to sit. I use my own data after reading the conditions for using their "free" wifi. You agree to them selling your informatiion at that location when you click agree. I haven't seen that at other locations. But I'll be looking for it now. One star. The wifi thing really pisses me off. read more

I went here because the Starbucks has a drive-thru. The line wrapped around the building and was absolutely ridiculous. I went inside in order to save time. I ordered my drink after being told but three different employees that it would be just a minute before somebody could help me. I got my drink and left. When I don't pass the drive through the car that had been about 5th in line with just at the window. I'm guessing something went wrong with the drive-thru. Asked for an iced chai latte with light ice, it was more ice than latte, I could literally feel the ice at the bottom of the cup. I told them about this and the dude simply scooped the ice out with a spoon, and then proceeded to fill the rest with soy milk which really ruined the taste because it was now basically a majority soy milk. I was looking for a Starbucks to get some work done, so I decided to come here since I saw all the positive reviews on Yelp. It is bit on the outskirts but in a quiet area next to a hotel. The interior is very spacious and modern. I was able to get a decent amount of work done without any distraction since there wasn't a ton of foot traffic in this area. I tried their seasonal sugar plum danish and it was very tasty. I also ordered my favorite strawberry açaí refresher. read more

I came after having some high tech Biz done at the SQL next door, the San Carlos Airport. Nice to have a hot foamy coffee after flying the plane! Had to take delivery of equipment & held a meeting, then stopped by here. Kayla & Perla made my coffee & got me my refill! The insides are very nice & extremely clean! Comfy armchairs, various seating areas, tall bar tables/chairs along the Windows, contemporary setup, all in all a nice & convenient store, by Izzy's, Hiller Aviation, and Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott. Stayed here past summer while hosting work retreat for overseas engineers, with presentations & collaborations, a week long event, centered around San Carlos Airport in between 2 Marriotts (another one across the street, Residence Inn by Marriott), & Bay Club. So now this newer location has been open for about 9 months. I believe they'll turn first year in March! They're very focused on & well trained in serving the drive-through! It's a hard work, I tell ya! Observed the no-nonsense-no-interruption in the flow & was amazed! The cars kept pulling up to the drive-through window & quickly served. Thumbs up! Me? Federal ADA violation: denial of service by staff. I went in this morning with my service dog, and the inside of the shop was fairly empty. It took a few minutes for a barista to take my order, which is understandable since there was a long line in the drive-through. My issue was not that it took a long time for me to receive a drink that usually takes 10-15 seconds to get at my regular location. My issue with the staff this morning is that they were taking other customers' drip coffee orders and serving them immediately while mine continued to sit--completed--on the machine for about ten minutes, all while they kept telling me, "Thanks for your patience." Three people handled my drink from the moment I ordered it. That's a huge red flag for me. Two different employees moved my drink from the drip machine, made drip drinks for people who showed up after me, then replaced my drink under the dispenser and served the other customers right in front of me, while one of the senior employees at the espresso bar kept telling me, "Thanks for your patience." My friend, whom I met there, ordered his espresso drink no less than five minutes after I ordered my drip coffee and received his drink several minutes before I finally decided to ask for a refund (at which point I was told I would only receive store credit, which I refused to accept and ultimately received a cash refund). A complaint to the supervisor over an employee's phone prompted the supervisor to authorize a free coffee, which I declined. . It was pretty clear that the staff were tacitly denying me service on the basis that I had a service dog while I am clearly not blind. I do, however, have a traumatic brain injury, arthropathic neuropathy and vestibular issues from explosive blasts in war, which--if anyone had cared to ask about my service dog instead of denying me the same level of service that other customers receive, through subterfuge--they would have been promptly informed of. read more

Great location! Staff is always very friendly and quick with making drinks. The inside is very clean and beautiful. The only negative experience I had was with the bathroom. My wife has to change our 2 month old babies diaper and this location doesn't not have a single baby changing station in either restroom. Women's or all gender restroom. My wife had to clean the bathroom floor and change our kids diaper on the bathroom floor. I know Starbucks would hate to hear this. This location is brand new, beautiful. I hope they take this as feedback and install a baby changing station. Im sure Starbucks would like to help future parents who run into a similar on the spot situations. read more

This is a brand spanking new Starbucks in a very unusual location hidden away by Redwood Shores and next to Izzy's and the Hiller Aviation Museum! Has a drivethru. Is beautiful and really open with tall windows, a clean fresh ambiance, and plenty of seating options (large tables, individual cushy chairs, etc). Plenty of staff so no wait when I was there. It was about half full. I really like this location and is just off the freeway even though it is a tad hidden. Staff are friendly. Place is super clean and new. Even had a nice outdoor seating area. I wouldn't say it's the best location only because it's right by the freeway so the views aren't that nice but inside is great! read more

This is one of my go to Starbucks in the peninsula. A big plus to this location that it has a drive through because most Starbucks in Silicon Valley do not have a drive thru. There is convenience and a lot of times the line is not long. The inside is pretty sleek and clean because this is a relatively new location. They normally have a ton of the food items and drinks in stock. They lose a star because generally I have great customer service but there have been instances when it's been subpar. In general I do enjoy coming here and do plan on continuing to come. read more
