Fantastic place to grab a quick drink! My favorite part is that you can ask for 0% sweetness even on their special drinks. 0% is by far enough because the honey boba and the creme brulee foam by themselves are already sweet. I got the Ube Astra which was packed with ube and coconut, absolutely delicious. The creme brulee foam didn't integrate super well with the rest of the drink and I'd recommend just blending it in directly next time. Honey boba on the bottom was super tasty and always a fun challenge to try and snipe the last few boba off the bottom of the cup with the straw. I'm intrigued by the Black Sesame version that they also offer and might get that one the next time I am back up north in the area!

Wasn't aware teaspoon meant one teaspoon of tea. Ordered the peach oolong tea with house cream and was unfortunately disappointed in the lack of flavor. Aside from the mango jelly ordered along with the drink, it was practically flavorless. The lids also need some work, it easily broke after trying to pierce it with the straw. 1/5 stars

    Silky Mango

Stopped by Teaspoon this afternoon and it hit the spot. The inside is cute, bright, clean, and perfect for grabbing a quick drink or hanging out for a bit. The staff was friendly and helped double check our order to make sure it was correct. They also have the option to order on the touch screen kiosk with snackpass and the staff will call your number when your order is ready. I got the Silky Mango, I'm obsessed. It's smooth, refreshing, and not overly sweet, just the right balance. The mix of mango with a creamy twist makes it feel almost like a dessert, but way lighter. It also comes with honey boba. It was the perfect refreshing drink for a warm day. Definitely coming back to try more drinks, but cant go wrong with the Silky Mango. There is parking around the redwood city downtown area, but the lots can get crowded. There is limited indoor seating, just a few tables so i would recommend ordering to-go. there are also a lot of restaurants nearby within walking distance so its a great drink option after a meal! They no longer serve the snow ice at this location but am hoping it might make an appearance for summer.

    Dirty Ube

Needed a caffeine pick me up, so decided to check out Teaspoon. The Dirty Ube caught my attention, and I quite enjoyed this drink. The coffee wasn't bitter, the ube flavor came through, and it wasn't too sweet.

Matcha royal mango with oatmilk. No boba

I've been to a few of their locations, and they never disappoint. It was my first time here in Redwood City, and I tried the: Matcha royal mango with oatmilk no boba- so amazing. I loved being able to see the layers, and I could definitely taste the mango. Surprisingly, the oat milk or the matcha didn't overpower the mango. The flavors were just right, and I couldn't get enough. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

    House Milk Tea with Boba

Located in downtown Redwood City! Super cute interior with some seating, and a pretty mural decorating the outside. This location is clean, and the service is friendly. Parking is also pretty easy! I frequent Teaspoon's and their drinks are always great. Today I got the house milk tea with boba and the grasshopper. The milk tea is always good, but it was my first time trying to grasshopper (lychee green tea with cucumber juice). It was super refreshing and perfectly sweet for me at 50%. We added boba to both drinks, and the total was around $13. Drinks came out quickly, but it was not very busy for a Sunday. Would visit again!

Not your typical boba spot. its more like a Seattle style coffe shop. The drinks are cute and many flavor options to choose from. That's about it.

    Banana milk latte with pudding
    Anna A.

I got the seasonal Banana milk latte with pudding. They didn't have any of honeycomb crumbs which usually come with it but otherwise still very good! Pleasant banana taste that isn't overwhelming and compliments the coffee well. My husband got his usual milk tea but said it was too watery today. They aren't consistent with their milk tea.

You can tell its not good just by the color

Matcha Royal is baaadddddd. Sooo sugary, does not taste like matcha at all. Just sugar and milk. I was actually confused when i got the drink like this.

Pumpkin king with brown sugar crystal

This was our go to spot for milk tea when we lived in Redwood City. It was nostalgic to return a year after we moved. The menu has expanded so we tried their new and seasonal drinks. Pumpkin King With Brown Sugar Crystals: You can really taste the pumpkin, the tea, & crystal flavors separately as they hit your taste buds at different times. It literally is a pumpkin pie in a drink form so this was quite an interesting experience. Matcha Royale With Strawberries: This definitely rivals Boba Guy's version but is sweeter for sure. There's a lot of honey and the strawberry puree is also sweeten. I would stick to their regular stable drinks since that's what they do best.

Lychee on lychee. Super stingy with the lychee jelly, barely any there.
    Nancy C.

Not busy on a Friday evening around 6. Cashier nice, drink didn't take too long to come out. Got a lychee on lychee. Not anywhere near enough lychee jelly, there was barely any there. See photo. Maybe Teaspoon is going downhill, my taro drink last visit (albeit to Burlingame location, not RC) was super light on taro topping. I used to like Teaspoon but I don't think I'll be back to this chain. The price is simply not worth it if they're skimping.

    Matcha Royale - Classic

Matcha super weak - was mostly milk with barely any matcha :( also took a long time even though there were only a couple of people in the store on a weekday. Would not return.

    Ask the Community - Teaspoon

Dairy free options like almond/soy milk?

There's an option for oat milk, which my friend selected. Side by side with another friend's milk tea, the oat milk looks more watered down and doesn't make the tea as sweet and creamy like you should want and expect.

When will Teaspoon open in Redwood City?

    They are open now!
