This place is great and the manager is fantastic. He knows what I drink so When there is a long line he sees me and gives me my coffee.

Delish baked good and sandwiches! I come here often. Photos…read moreare only a sample of what they offer!highly recommend for when you need sweet treat or want to bring a slam dunk to a party! This place knows what it's doing and then some! Everything is Always fresh always exciting!

Bake is fine. Honestly, hit or miss with those cookies, though. They have so many cookies, and you…read morethink, how do they make so many cookies every day? How do they make so many fresh cookies? It seems impossible that they could be making all of these cookies from scratch every day! I don't think they do. Because I've had some pretty stale cookies from Bake. I used to go in a lot. I know what you're thinking, why are you going in for stale cookies? Why would you go back? Why wouldn't you go to Natale's bakery in Summit? (Check out my review of them). I'll tell you why: Location, Location, Location They have a great location. So, anyway, I would go in and think, boy, I would like one of those big M&M cookies way in the back, way up on that shelf. So one day I got one. It was pretty stale. I think they forgot they had them there. They looked surprised when I asked for it. I had the bread one time. That was good. I bet they make that every day. Oh, and if you live in Summit, you can ignore this part because you are rich, my friend. And if you're a kid and you live in Summit? You are lucky because your parents are rich, my friend. Anyways So, Bake is incredibly expensive. Wow. One time true story, I bought I'm going to say a pound of cookies? (This was a while ago, don't quote me on the weight.) And the girl says that it will be, and she mumbles the price. And I think, did she say $16? That seems too low. Oh no, she said $60! For cookies. So give it a shot. I bet if you bit into your cookie while you were there, and it was stale, they would give you a new cookie. I usually take them home for dessert. Especially if you said it loud, like Hey! if you buy a cookie and it's stale. You get a new cookie? I bet they would hate that.

This has been my go-to coffee shop every weekend for the last couple of years. To put it simply,…read moretheir coffee is fantastic. Specifically, their cold brew which is extremely smooth and strong, and in my opinion you don't even need to put anything in it unless you really want something sweet, although why would you get a cold brew if that's the case lol. Also packs quite a bit of caffeine so you'll be good for the rest of the day. Their pastries are pretty solid as well, although a bit on the pricier side. The cafe itself is on the smaller side but still an ample amount of seating. It's excellent for meeting with a friend, however the tables are rather small so it is less study friendly unless you manage to snag one of the bigger tables by the entrance. Which is admittedly pretty tough to do unless you get here right when it opens or catch a lucky break when someone leaves - I speak from experience. That said, it's overall a pretty solid spot to get work done. Parking in downtown Summit is a pain in general, I usually just park in the lot and walk over. Limit is at 5 hours and you will have to walk back if you want to extend it. There might be parking available by the cafe, but I'm personally less confident on how long you can to stay before getting ticketed/booted, so do so at your own risk.

I ordered the coconut coffee which was okay, just a bit too sweet for my taste. The second time around, I looked over the menu ahead of time and tried a matcha. It was decent, but again a little sweeter than I personally prefer.

Kirshenbaum Baking Co. - Black Forest Cake. Delicious for days!

This is a super cute little bakery and coffee shop in Downtown Westfield. There is street parking…read moreand a few parking lots in the area so we just parked at one, wanted about, and also made a stop here. As a nod to the name (Kirshenbaum is German for cherry tree), there are little cherries everywhere inside from signs to wallpaper. Ample seats, natural light, friendly staff, plus delectable treats make this place a good one to stop at. They also serve light bites but as we were sort of hopping from one place to another on a Sunday, I only ordered a few sweet treats. BLACK FOREST: my daughter picked this, likely because she thought it was a chocolate cake. But it was not your average chocolate cake. A good sized slice with moist cake, cherries, and dark chocolate bits throughout, I highly enjoyed this one. It's perfectly sweet - though I admit my daughter finished the exterior layer of frosting so the thin layered in between the cake were ideal for my taste buds. It was a bit too elevated for my daughter who only really wanted your regular chocolate cake. MATCHA CRUFFIN: This is a croissant-muffin filled with matcha cream, rolled in sugar. The laminated dough was packed so not like your airy-but-crispy-exterior croissant, nor was it noticeable buttery, but it did do its job by keeping its shape and the layers helped give its name. It was lovely to pull apart, with a nice, chewy texture. The filling wasn't exactly in the center (I shared this with my husband) so I dipped a little into the filling (borderline reminded me of pastry cream) that my husband got. It's light but also has a very nice matcha flavor that comes through. RASPBERRY LYCHEE PIE: I love pie and I was happy to find a uniquely flavored one here especially since it reminded me of my favorite ice cream flavor in Europe at Haagen Dazs years back (rose raspberry lychee) so I pounced on it. First off, this is definitely a mousse pie. We're vegetarian so a part of me wonders if gelatin was used to make this so I likely won't get this a second time without me asking the necessary questions - but it is good. As with most mousse confections, this is light and delicate in a way. Airy. Still substantial that I didn't feel cheated out of my money but not too filling. Nothing overpowered each other and the flavors and textures worked together beautifully. There were chunks of raspberries but I don't recall actual bits of lychee fruit in there, though you do get the flavor of it in there. I absolutely love the interesting flavors here and the items I got. I especially am a fan of how everything is perfectly sweet. I have a sweet tooth, but only for things that aren't too sweet and this is completely up my alley. They do have gluten free options but nothing extensive. And I'm pretty sure they include eggs. I have a kid with multiple food allergies and he couldn't have anything here so I got him a bottle of apple juice and he was content with it. I'll definitely stop by again to try more items and get a drink to go with. Maybe get my daughter a cookie since I hear they're pretty good.

The service was patient and friendly as we took some time on what to order. I tried four different offerings. Double Chocolate Chip Cookie ($4.25) - This was a dark chocolate cookie with chocolate chip chunks. This was a good size, but it just fell short for me. I liked the chewy middle and texture, but it just felt like more chocolate could have been tasted as crazy as that sounds. Strawberry Jam Donut ($3.85) - This was a brioche donut filled with their own strawberry jam. The strawberry jam was the lone highlight here. It was great, but the actual donut was not. It was also a little small for the price. I just did not think I liked the brioche type of donut here. It needed to be sweeter, but that jelly, exceptional. Cheesy Jalapeno Croissant ($7) - This was filled with mozzarella cheese, pickled jalapeno peppers, and was topped with an everything seasoning. This was definitely the best product tried of the day. The croissant was flaky and light while the inside had plenty of jalapenos and mozzarella. The jalapenos of this particular one were quite spicy, which was nice. The everything topping was not needed I thought. Gluten Free Strawberry Lemon Cake Slice ($7.25) - This was a lemon vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream. This was a nice sized slice. If I did not know this was gluten free before eating, I do not think I would have been able to tell. Having said that though, the cake slice as a whole was just okay. The cake had good texture, and the buttercream was nicely done, but it just was alright and did not excite me. Maybe, I was missing the gluten! Will I go back? Possibly.
