The shop is very cozy - for certain very popular, many were seen working at the coffee shop. Personally, I compare the cold brew I was drinking to a Dunkin Donuts cold brew - super sweet, which is fine! I prefer mine a bit less sugary, however, I plan to order the nitro next time!! My husband ordered their vanilla Dunn Dirty - a drink I have never heard of & ended up ordering ANOTHER on his exit of the store he loved it so much!! I have never heard of a coffee drink with Pepsi before - however, they have lots of options outside of just coffee beverages which is so nice when it comes to outtings with friends who don't drink coffee. I'm a coffee snob! Dunn Brothers regular coffee brews, are elite! I don't regularly visit this Hastings location, because it's not close to my house, however, I had an appointment in Hastings, so I decided to stop in. I have rarely been greeted so politely and friendly as this young lady greeted me. How refreshing! Her manager obviously trained her well and she executed service extremely well. Well done!! Another reason I travel here to this location, is the interior. Very comfortable seating, with several seating options, and a beautiful fireplace. One minor issue, the parking is tight and tricky. Dunn Brothers corporation needs to emulate this location as a show location!! read more

Love this Dunn! They are a hair closer than Woodbury for us and have the drive thru which is super convenient (getting into the complex isn't as easy, but if you know the roads, you're fine). Last summer I had pistachio muffin at this coffee shop. Today I told my friends let's stop here I wanna eat another one. It is 690 cal. We also purchased red velvet muffin to try. Pistachio is still my favorite. It seems they added some nuts inside which made it better than last summer. We also had two decaf latte warm: I liked it but my friend did not. The inside is decorated in a very nice way. The young ladies on the first day off 2020 were very accommodating and professional despite their very young age. Dunn Brothers Coffee - Pistachio and red velvet muffins - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Hastings, Minnesota

This has always been one of my favorite, if not favorite Dunn Bros. as the coffee has always been perfectly brewed (never watered down or stale) and the ambiance is so nice, both in the area around around it, and especially inside the space, which is a nice open layout with a really tall ceiling. There's always some kind of art work adorning the space, and always an assortment of plants and foliage. This place is like a warm blanket at Grandma's house with the fireplace and warm hues, with the sun always shining through at least some of the windows. The whole space is always very tastefully decorated with nice paint schemes, and the interior is always themed to the current season. There is plenty of comfortable furniture with plenty of places to sit that aren't cramped. In fact, I want to get the name of whoever decorated this space for future interior design help. The service has always been good here too, but today the gals working were exceedingly friendly faced and kind. read more

Very comfortable and cozy coffee shop. A great place to grab a cup of coffee and either work or just relax with the very warm fireplace feature. Ive enjoyed Dunn Bros in Mi several times. First time here in Hastings as Im here for work. First off, they all hv very friendly baristas. The vibe here is good. Much better coffee than Starbucks. Im here @ 1030 am on a weekday & could hardly find a place to sit down & enjoy a cup of java. Place is mobbed. This is the tail end of breakfast, so it was kind of a surprise. There are other coffee choices in Hastings so that should be an indication of how good they are. Finally, their prices are below that of a starbucks or other comparable places so do stop in theyll take care of you and enjoy the vibe! read more

A beautiful Dunn's, the best I've seen so far. Spacious but filled enough to not feel cramped or barren. The lighting is cool with ornamental street lamp style lamps lining the aisle to the counter as though you are walking on an old street outside I suppose. Fast moving line and service and a fairly raucous atmosphere with an annoying echo throughout the joint. They probably will never be able to have live music but the locals seem fine with this classy place in a building that is newer but designed to fit in with the nearby historic structures. read more

I really like their fresh coffee grounds! I enjoyed a few cups of coffee when I visited my in-laws. Good stuff! My family and I went to this location after driving by and wanting to stop for a beverage. I had their skim chai tea latte. Pretty good! Service was quick, people were friendly! Their snack and pastry section may need a little improvement (not a lot of selections when we arrived) but other than that a pretty cool place to get coffee. read more

I really like Dunn Brothers Coffee in Hastings, but yesterday we had a bad experience. We specifically stopped to get ground coffee. We asked the young man to grind it course because we have a Chemix Coffee Maker. We opened it this morning and he ground it fine. Management - please teach your employees how to grind coffee. We have to throw the entire bag away because fine ground does not work in a Chemix. read more

Pros: Attractive interior and furnishings. Cons: Very poor acoustics. Gets extremely noisy when any of the espresso machines or grinders are running, and even when the baristas are talking with each other in normal volumes. Needs more sound absorbing materials. read more

I've been coming here since high school so 12+ years. They had a wave of experienced people leave and within the last two years the quality of coffee has really come down. The current holiday spiced mocha makes you laugh at how bad it is. Tastes like dawn dish soap and bad decisions. I can't believe the manager here would allow it on the menu. They apparently installed cameras to spy on their employees which I find pretty pathetic. read more

This location is awful. I went here a little over two weeks ago for a quick latte with my boyfriend on our way back from a wedding. "Quick" tured out to be 45 minutes as that's how long it took to get our coffee. There were 4 baristas behind the counter but only 1 making drinks. One girl seemed like her only job was handing drinks to drive through cars and then picking her nails. Furthermore, the cashier "ran out of $1 bills" (aka was too lazy to go in the back and get more" and gave me $5 worth of quarters. I love this Dunn Bros everyone is always friendly and happy in the morning when I roll thru at 6:30 - 7:00 am. I frequent this shop because I admire the quality and service. One of the tastier drinks on there menu is the iced vanilla nirvana.. Quite delicious if you are a coffee lover. I highly recommend this shop over other commercial coffee shops. This place feels more like a small town place and offers sustainably grown coffee beans. Kudos! read more

Stop by here almost every time I meet my husband for a quick bite or coffee during work hours. Workers are always pretty pleasant, and their breakfast sandwiches are pretty good! Love how they are made there and not just frozen and popped into a microwave. Absolutely love their vanilla iced Nirvana, my favorite iced coffee. Their regular coffee is always nice and hot as well and it's never too busy. read more

I have been a customer of the Hastings Dunn Brothers since they opened. I have had great coffee and pleasant service here over the years, not sure why customer service has declined drastically! My last two experiences here have included rude employees who are very uninformed and not properly trained. I asked for the managers name and number, the girl who provided it contributed to argue with me and told me "go ahead and call, shes going to tell me the same thing" Never going back, would never recommend it! read more

This is our favorite place for coffee and we've been going here for 10 years, so normally I'd rate it higher. That being said, in the last year we've found that the brewed coffee has been terrible about 75% of the time. The baristas have been inconsistent with their beverage quality and the new hires don't take the time to greet us. The lattes have been all foam and the coffee is watered down. Have some taste tests, raise the starting wage to get some motivated employees, and please make this coffee better than caribou so we can support local again. We hope to see a change so we can better enjoy it when we visit! read more
