This review is specifically for Robert Inzunza, Dunn Edwards' Color Consultant. I am the President of my HOA. I came in, asking about Dunn Edwards' free color consulting service that they offer to commercial buildings. We have an 18-unit condo building that has been beige stucco & red brick all its life. In 1972, it probably was in style - but in 2022, not so much. We really wanted an updated look and had some general ideas and colors, but all the paint colors were overwhelming to choose from. Robert met with me and one of my Board members to see the building, and we explained we wanted a more modern look, and that we liked charcoal grays and slate blues and pale grays. We were proposing color schemes for the whole HOA to vote on, so when Robert offered to send us renderings with different color schemes that he recommended, we were super happy. Robert was so patient with us! He took pics of the front & inner courtyard of our building, forwarded them to his graphic designers, and emailed renders with Dunn Edwards colors for us to present to everyone. His choices of colors based on our general guidelines were excellent. Our final decision on colors took a few meetings, and a few color changes, but Robert met all our deadlines. Fast forward to now, about a year later, and we just had the building painted. My Board was wowed because our building literally looks JUST LIKE ROBERT'S RENDERS. His renders with the Dunn Edwards colors painting our building were spot on. We have a lot of newer buildings in the area, so this new paint scheme gives us much needed curb appeal, and we have gotten many compliments from neighbors. My Board & I are so grateful for Dunn Edwards' complimentary professional color consultation services. We wouldn't have been able to pick our current color scheme without Robert's recommendations, nor would we have been able to create such stunning renders in Dunn Edward-specific colors without his graphic design team. My FAVORITE location by far!!! Upon walking in we were greeted by Frank Slobotski. He was friendly and welcoming. We spoke to him and he recommended Natalie for suggestions on the perfect shade of color for us. We met Natalie and she was great too! I just had the best experience at this store thanks to Edward. I wanted to paint my entire apartment for the first time, but had no idea what was the best store to buy paints. A friend of mine recommended Dunn Edwards and I'm so glad he did because I couldn't be any happier with the color and sheens I selected. My apartment looks amazing! But none of it would have been possible without the help of Edward, the first person to greet me when I entered the store. Edward was totally kind, friendly, funny and took his time to help me decide on my colors, sheens and quality of paint. I needed to go into the store 3 times before actually buying my paints, so I could pick up various color samples to tape to my cabinets and walls so I could ensure I chose all the right colors. Quick and great service! Pick a number at the station to your right and they can ring you up on what color you need. I got the Chalky in Flat 5gallons for $200. They will mix the color for you at the farther left corner of the store and they can wheel it to your car. And I liked that they have a parking lot. I have to say in all honesty, this particular Dunn-Edwards location is the best and as an apartment owner, I need reliable, dependable, knowledgeable, and above all, honest service and representation and this location delivers with courtesy and a friendly smile. I've been to the location at Culver City and don't want to deal with management there, perhaps less than honest about pricing (without going into further detail) and tried to rip me off imo. Even though this location is further away from me, I decided to try it out at the recommendation of another apartment owner and so glad I did. We've purchased Dunn-Edward paints for a long time, over 40 years and they nearly lost our business, save for this location so I'm glad to say we will continue to purchase D-E paint and supplies. I was getting paint samples from online pictures and they weren't working. Finally, I went in and talked to Omar and within a few minutes he showed me exactly what I described. I have been coming to Dunn-Edwards for the past few years. I have to say every time I go there, the customer service is excellent. I wish I took names but as soon as I walk in they immediately ask if I need help. The paint selection is, of course, great too, but what sets them apart is their service. I recently bought paint here over the course of three days as my painters did work in my house. On one occasion the guy who mixed my paint got some paint on the can and didn't warn me and I got in on the interior of my two week old new car. Make sure you ask them to dry any paint that they leave to test the color. On another day they forgot my order and made me wait about an hour. However the paints are very good quality. read more

Can you love a paint store? Yes! Everyone in the store is super friendly and very helpful. Each time that I've been there, there were tons of people working there so there was no wait for service. There is a wait for them to mix your paint, but I'm used to doing that at Home Depot so no big deal. Plus, unlike HD, they have a place for you to sit. This is my new paint store--head and shoulders above the detestable Sherwin-Williams on Pico. Oh and everything is price marked so no idea what that guy was talking about. read more

In particular, the color stylist Natalie is extremely talented in grasping my vision for my home and helping me find the right colors and accents. Nataly is a pleasure to work with. Emailed the store to order a quart of paint yesterday in the morning. Got a quick response back and spoke with the manager, Kenneth. We discussed what I needed--he took my order over the phone. I prepaid, and let him know I would have someone pick it up later that day or the next. Later in the afternoon, I discovered I needed a different color. Called the store--Kenneth connected me with someone on the sales floor. I asked if they could change the color--was told the paint was already made. Ok, no worries, I ordered a second quart in the new color and paid for it. Fast forward to this morning. I went to the store around 6:45 to pick up the paint. I get there, wait for my turn, and then they can't find the order. Kenneth says it should be with the prepaid orders. The sales girl and I look--it isn't there.... Kenneth says they will make it up now. At this point I am running seriously late because I thought I was just running in to pick up a prepaid order. They had mixed one quart and I asked Kenneth to just reverse the charge for the second quart they haven't made yet. He says they can't do that "because it is a custom tint." WTF? It is a custom tint YOU HAVE NOT MADE. I walked out with one quart of paint. Not sure it is worth the headache to put the charge FOR THE UNMIXED PAINT in dispute with my cc company. Instead figure I will chalk it up to a lousy store and head to Sherwin Williams. **Dunn Edwards reached out to me shortly after my review posted, extended an apology, and issued a refund. In light of this, I am raising my rating to three stars.** read more

Dunn Edwards is the place to go if you're looking for professional paint services. My building needed exterior and interior repainting. I dealt with Stephanie from Dunn Edwards. She was very courteous, professional and helpful. She gave us numerous renderings of our building with different color schemes. All free of charge. Without the renderings it would have been very hard to visualize how the building would have looked like. It's easy to think that certain colors look great on paper only to find out that they don't after the fact. The renderings were an immensely helpful tool. Stephanie then scheduled a meeting with numerous vendors who were able to provide competitive quotes for this big project. Stephanie made the entire process easy. She was very helpful.
