I figured I'd update my review because the purchase of the newest tires and this service visit were both good. It's invaluable to have free repairs and the other perks of buying from Dunn. Back at the beginning of December I went in to get a seasonal tire changeover. My appointment was at 4pm and I didn't get out until 6:15pm or so. Annoying but I understand they're busy at the end of the day when folks get out of work to take their car there. After leaving and driving all of 5 miles (and picking up my mom to go to a concert), my rear driver tire was flat. Pulled over and changed the tire. Already I planned on returning the next morning for a refund or some sort of compensation. At this point it was too late to go to the concert (also due to the fact that the appointment took over 2hrs) so we decide to go get dinner in east aurora. Hesitantly, I get on the 400 and after about 30 seconds of driving on the thruway, second flat tire, this time it was my rear passenger tire. Called roadside assistance and waited 2hrs on the side of the 400 at night in December. When roadside arrived, I realized my front passenger tire was also flat. Roadside took us back to the Union rd Dunn Tire location. Thank god the first tire went on a 30mph road and the second and third tires went while speeding up, not when I was at full speed. If I had been well on the thruway doing 70 and both tires went at once? Myself and my mother could have been seriously hurt or worse. The tires, upon closer inspection, were not attached to the wheels properly so when I turned my vehicle they started to slip off. Unbelievable negligence. I went in there the next morning and had the manager look at my car. He took it in and redid all of the tires as well as replaced the two rear tires. His explanation was that the valve stems were not replaced properly, which frankly I think is bullshit and I guess a better sounding excuse than "yeah my employee didn't properly install tires at a shop called dunn TIRE". He was apologetic and offered a full refund. I don't remember his name but he was good. Whoever worked on my vehicle should never touch one again, and after escalating this with a DM via email, I eventually stopped hearing back. I can't stress enough how much worse this could have been. Maybe this place shouldn't hire a bunch of 20 something year olds that skipped steps in their job bc they wanted to leave on time on a Friday night. Do not go to this location. It was my first time after only going to the McKinley pkwy location prior. Absolutely do not let those people do anything to your car. read more

When I realized my headlight was out, I was driving around to find a place that would replace it asap. I passed by this place and decided to go there. They were very courteous and professional and took care of me right away, even though they were booked. The waiting room was huge and very accommodating with a TV and coffee. The is was the first time using Dunn Tire. I had an emergency service, my brakes went and wouldn't work. I was towing a trailer and couldn't disconnect it. Customer Service Rep Tony took care of me up front. He was extremely professional. He took me in and explained everything in detail. There was a mechanic that helped me also, I wish I knew his name, but he was fantastic with me as well. Excellent service from both Tony and the mechanic. I will absolutely be back! It's never good when you have to take your car in but I was very happy with the service I received. I had run over glass or something that put multiple holes in my tire. The gentleman at the counter took the time to discuss my driving habits and needs to help me determine what the best tire would be. Recommended that I replace the two rear tires and have the car aligned. He could very easily have sold me for tires however, he told me that it wasn't necessary to replace the front tires at this point. Don't come here on weekends. Horrible service. I had hads a flat on Friday and they had to get a tire so they had leave my rim and they told me they would call me if they could get tire in ​early. I had m​issed their call and so tried to call them back .was on hold so long I had time to dress and then drive to them. I was standing in line still on hold .When i fin​ally got to front of line , cust​omer service man chastised​ me for being 45 mins early. I would​n't have been early had they picked up the phone in the first place. Customer​ had been w​aiting for two hours trying to get done by paying and they made him go to back of line. Warranty is issued by manufacturer and their are rules regarding the overall upkeep, Failure to abide by these rules negates the warranty. Rules include rotation and wheel alignment best done by Dunn. Very similar to the "Rust Proofing" that was so popular many years ago and which my husband that we get for every damn car however never followed through on inspection/maintenance of expensive Rusty Jones or Symtec rust proofing. Bottom line, I think Dunn is great and they took the time to have someone call and explain the warranty program. My new Coopers are great and hopefully they will last longer than 27k miles. Needed a new valve stem one one of my tires which was leaking (see new valve stem reference). I called around and got "well, bring it in and we'll look at it" & "I cant give you a price without looking at it" & "oh, that has a pressure sensor, those could be anywhere from 70-100 dollars plus install plus balancing, etc"..UGH! Then I called Dunn Tire, Joe was very professional and gave me an in and out price of $84. I went there and within an hour (its first come, first serve) I was out the door for a little less than the original quoted price. No messing around, no guesswork, no trying to sell me anything extra, just a quick professional courteous job, well done. I had an appointment for 2 new front tires and an alignment. I showed up early and was told they could not do just the front tires because the vehicle has a 4wd mode. The rear tires have many miles left in them and I wanted new front tires due to uneven wear. I even requested the exact same make and model of tire so all 4 tires matched. I was told that their policy is to change all 4 tires in vehicles with 4wd. When I informed them that the rear tires had many miles left and the vehicle recently passed NYS inspection, I was told their standards are higher than NYS. I won't ever be back. I suspect since the appointment was in the afternoon they wanted to make sure they would be done by 6:00 pm and servicing my vehicle might have pushed them to 6:30. First time in the shop after seeing the tv commercials for the last 5 years.(I moved here in 2013)I had a flat that needed repair, needed new tires anyway and ended up replacing 2 tires. However, I didn't like the noise they produced. I called back and utilized Dunn tires 30 day exchange guarantee as part of the Dunn Promise. I called the shop because I was running late to my appointment @5 due to traffic and showed up with a half hour(5:30) until closing. Anthony my customer advisor assured me that I would be taken care of right away. I was able to get 2 new tires in unminutes and had a great experience! I stopped at Dunn Tire on Union Rd in West Seneca today 10/13/21 at 8:30AM on my way to work after finding my tire low the night before and it wasn't staying inflated by morning. Paul (manager?) said they were booked solid until Saturday 10/16/21. He then proceeded to check with his guys to see if they could fix an emergency flat and they did! if I could give 0 stars I would. from the very beginning it was a disaster. was went to the West seneca store to fix the Buffalo screw up and was told "they would take care of me and make it right". ha ha ha. They took care of it by not doing one thing they said they would. Couldnt even get a phone call back from one person. my tires weren't ordered not once, not twice but three times. couldn't even get a courtesy call to let my fiancé know the tires were sold oit from underneath us, even after we had them reserved. I had low tire pressure and brought my truck to Dunn Tire. I was told my tire had a screw in it in an spot that made it unfixable. They, of course, didn't have my tire (despite having had one last month when I needed to replace a tire that blew out), so they'd have to order it or I could buy 4 new tires of another kind. I called back to get my tire size and could hear them laughing and joking about me. Then they hung up on me. Called back, got the tire size, found it at Sears. Long story short: Sears called. The screw was resting in the tread; it didn't puncture the tire. They checked all four tires and couldn't find any leak anywhere. Oh and Dunn wouldn't change my oil because "their oil guy isn't there on Saturdays and Sundays." When I complained about the laughing/hanging up and they gave me the supposed rotation they did for free. read more

Frank was very professional and curteous (even to customers that were upset about the wait time, though they had no appointment). I was there for a dead battery, he promptly drove my car into a stall and asked if I could leave the vehicle. Within 3 hours I picked up the car, as good as new again. I have had nothing but excellent service the many times I (as a single 20-something female) have taken my cars to the West Seneca Dunn Tire over the last 7 years. I have had everything from oil changes, state inspections, alignments, brake work, purchased new snow tires, and had easy and difficult flat repairs done here. Some tire items they do not take appointments for (like putting on snows, etc), but they do have to schedule appointments for oil changes, inspections, but I usually can get in within a few days. They are also open 7 days a week. All workers from the counter guys, managers, and service techs have been friendly and professional both in person and on the phone. I had a complete flat on my old car that they worked for over an hour to find the issue with it (sidewall was just starting to fail) and recently rolled in on a Saturday after my tire pressure monitoring system went off and I had just slightly low air. They found a pin, patched it up, and I was on my way in 30 minutes. Waiting room is nothing fancy, but it is spacious and they have a mini fridge of bottled water bottles and juice boxes for the kids along with coffee and a pop machine. Just note that they can't email records. My car had a catastrophic failure of its own doing and I needed a copy of my oil changes for warranty service and I could only get them in person. Luckily, since they were open Sunday, I could get them in time for Monday. read more

Stay away from this location - a bunch of crooks! In the last year, I have had 3 flat tires, 2 of them within 12 months of purchase and the last one in less than a day. I purchased 4 new Continental Extreme Contacts for a cost of over $650. Additionally, I had an alignment done for $80. Once the new tires were on and the alignment was done. I drove directly home (about 6 miles) The next day, I went to drive the car and immediately realized something was not right. The rear passenger tire, brand new the day before, was flat. The next morning, I called the store, pretty angry and asked that they come get the car and replace the new tire, now flat. I was told Dunne would not cover that expense, so, I had the car towed, at my own expense, back to the West Seneca store. A while later, I spoke with Tyrell (the assistant manager) and he informed me that I now had a bent rim on that rear passenger side wheel (the one with the defective tire) and that they could not install a replacement tire, until I replaced the rim. He quoted me a price of $198 to replace it. My suspicions were immediately piqued because the car was only driven a short distance home from the original tire installation, I drove the car personally and never hit any potholes or anything else of the sort, to bend a rim!. As I see it, the possibilities were: 1. The rim was bent at the store, in which case it should be addressed by Dunne Tire. 2. The rim was bent when I first brought it in, it wasn't noticed and a new tire put on anyway. In which case it should be replaced by Dunne Tire. 3. The rim was bent somehow when I drove it to the end of my driveway and back whilst the defective tire was flat. In which case it should be replaced by Dunne Tire. Categorically, what did not happen was that it was damaged when driving of the car home. I subsequently found out a friend of mine had the same issue with Dunne - they bent his rim too! After much effort and back and forth most of the next day with Tyrell (the assistant manager), he finally said he had his manager's (Matt) approval to cover 50% of the rim replacement cost. I reluctantly agreed because it was now day 3 without the car (family's only car) . When I went to pick up the car, again, Matt (the manager) was there and I addressed the issue with him. He gave me all the reasons how the bent rim must be my fault. I told him, if he wanted to retain my custom, he should cover the full cost of the rim as I never hit a darn thing on the way home to bend a rim. He was a little wishy-washy until I pushed him on it, then he refused to budge any further when I questioned his management style. SO, reluctantly, again, I paid $111 for the rim. I have to say, in terms of dealing with a customer under difficult circumstances, Tyrell was a better communicator! I took the car back 2 days later to get the wheels re-torqued after approx. 27 miles on the new tires. I asked Tyrell if they could also check the alignment on the car because I was a little concerned that, after everything that had been done since the original alignment that it might be off again. After waiting 30 minutes, Tyrell called me over and informed me that they could not re-do an alignment because I now had a bad inner tirod (just 4 days after they did an alignment!). Of course, again, this was nothing to do with the defective tire I was given, according to Dunne. Therefore, I have become the unluckiest person when it comes to my wheels tires. No problems for years and mysteriously out-of-the blue, just by coincidence, a bent rim AND a bad tirod within days (1 day for the rim) of having a defective tire installed at Dunne! To add insult to injury, Tyrell gave me a print-out for the cost of the work that now needs doing, it reads, as follows: 1 x LF Inner Tirod, parts $61.49, labor $78.99 for a total of $140.48 1 x LF Outer Tirod, parts $121.99 1 x alignement at $79.98 Total: $342.45 Pay for the alignment again, really? When I pushed Tyrell on that he said "oh, that will be covered by the warranty". Bunch of crooks. Stay away! read more

Bought 4 new tires had them installed, also got an alignment. Spent around $1400.00 customer service was very poor, salesman didn't even mention sales promotion going on, I had to bring it up. Waiting area is nice but could use a good cleaning. Went to drive away notice my rims where chipped and scratched from install. Had two employees inspect and take pictures of damage also agreed that they are recently made marks. Was promised that a manager would call me the next day since he or she were off which is understandable. I have called twice with no response back. Suggest finding a shop that values your car as much as you do, I will be looking else where next time our vehicles require new tires. Went in because I had a slow leak which was becoming faster. I was told that the nail was in a place which could not be plugged and since my vehicle was AWD all four tires would need to be replaced. After being quoted 779.00 I then brought the vehicle to my dealer who proceeded to plug the tire and found a nail in an additional tire (that Dunn did not notice) and plugged that as well. This place stinks. I had special metal cap sensors on my tires and bought new tires from them. The tire sensor light was still on after my wife picked up the car. Took car back to fix tire sensor light. All they did was take off one of the front metal caps and never put anything back on. Lazy bums who don't care work there. Manager didn't seem to care just told me to bring it back and they would put plastic caps back on. Why did I ever go back to this place? Awful! read more

Beware of unneeded work! I stopped by last Friday (11/2/12) for an alignment check. My front tires are wearing on the inside. The truck wasn't on the lift 3 minutes when a guy showed up with an estimate to change the inner and outer tie rod ends on both sides. Almost $300! He said that the alignment couldn't be done the way it was. I told him that I just had the outers changed, and he told me that the inner ones were worn, but to do the work, the tie rods had to be completely removed and the outers would have to be changed again at that point too (not true). I told him that I wanted to take it back to the garage where I had the work done. Before I left the lot, I checked the old receipt in the glove box and found that both the inner and outer ones had been changed in May! I went straight back to the first mechanics shop and had it put up on the lift. All 4 tie rod ends were fine! I had been a good customer of Dunn's over the years and bought many sets of tires there, but never again! read more

I recently bought some tires here for my ford explorer. The next day as i was going to work my tire went flat. I called Dunn and they said it was up to me to get my tire or vehicle over to them even though i drove the truck about 6 miles since they put the tires on. After pulling my tire off i realized the aluminum rim had a deep groove all the way around the inside,. upon further review somehow my bottom caliper bolt was missing and the caliper was rubbing agsinst the inside of the rim. I took the tire and rim and my spare tire and rim to them and showed them what happened. They of course had no answer except they would remount the tire on my spare rim at no charge. My tires there always seem to get punctures not long after purchasing them. Happened several times to 2 sets of new tires I bought from them about 15 yrs ago in Henrietta, NY store. I thought it was some vandals on my street doing it, but I left town for 10 years no issues with my tires. Came back to live 2 different places in the area no tires issues buying from other places. Went back to Dunn to try them again, and my tired picked up a large screw the next day. I noticed there was sticky glue on all the tires something I don't normally see on new tires. I bought the tire repair warrant so they fixed the punctured one, but it continues to leak and I keep taking it back. They won't replace the tire, no refund. These guys don't take their business seriously. They don't take their jobs seriously. They don't care about their reputation. What a bunch of jokers.
