First took it in for diagnosis and was told it's not a head gasket. But couldn't tell me why oil was in my radiator. Brought my car in to change hoses. Said they couldn't get the hose and sent me on my way, saying they would call next week ,with a bulging hose which burst. Car overheated and blew head gasket a week later. We were driving by had low tire pressure and decided to get gas a mile away then we found this tire shop. It was open really early which we were so thankful for. They took our car right away there was a waiting area so I sat in there with my kids. They took out a screw in 5 minutes and repaired the tire. They charged $28 there was a charge for under a dollar included. We were very thankful that they didn't over charge us even knowing we were traveling. The hospitality at this place is impeccable. My friends and I were on a road trip when we suddenly hit a metal ladder, slashing two of our tires. We were towed to Dunsmuir Tire Service at 4 AM. From the moment their store opened, 8 AM, to closing time at 5 PM. Tony and his employees went above and beyond to help make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. Unfortunately, they did not have the size of our tires, which was not their fault at all, as we rented a car with a very peculiar, specific type of tire. As we waited 12 hours for our tow truck. Tony and his employees checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable and if there was anything they could do to help. Though our situation was terrible, the service that was provided at this shop made a terrible situation one to remember. On Thursday June 15th, we were traveling from the Bay Area up to Ashland Oregon to meet some friends for a few days of theater and fun. As we neared Dunsmuir, the car app on my phone told me that I had low air pressure in my left front tire. We found a gas station right off the freeway and filled it up... 2 minutes after getting back on the freeway... BOoM! Same alert. We pulled into Dunsmuir and there was a tire shop. It was open but All the bays were full of cars and others waiting. We were helped by Mary- who explained that they were extremely busy- but would do the best they could. It was about 1:30pm and it looked hopeless to us. We explained our situation to Mary... and she relayed our dilemma to the owner Tony. Much to our surprise... Tony appeared from the back with a rolling Jack and removed our tire. He mounted, balanced, and put the new one on himself... and we were back on the road in minutes- not hours! They saved the day. I was driving from Sacramento to Spokane with a heavy equipment (snowcat) load and had two trailer tires blow out on the Shasta grade. It was in a rough spot in the side of I-5 on a Thursday night. Tony was at work the next morning at 7:40 (early) and despite a full schedule of snow tires to install, he set me up quickly with two tires and even let me use one of his jacks to help me get back on my way. Steve aired up our tires after I got them back on the trailer and rolling again. Not an easy task and these guys are amazing. Can't recommend them enough. read more

We called ahead and they were ready for us when we arrived. It was like a pit stop on the Indy 500. We were in and out within 20 minutes. Even one of the neighbors came by with a cake and said to share it. Such a cute town with amazing views. Don't worry about large trailers; if heading North, just get off at Dunsmuir and go straight. I opened a Yelp account to leave this review! I was driving up from the Bay Area to Ashland, OR when my alternator went out on the highway through a mountain pass. My battery stopped charging and my power steering went out and I managed to get off the road in a small town. The mechanic shop in that town said they could get to it in the next week or so, but I could try this tire shop in Dunsmuir. I was still freaked out but called the shop and spoke to Tony, he helped me check under my hood to make sure belts were still where they needed to be and let me know if I could get to his shop before closing he could take a look. I got to the shop about an hour before closing,Tony had already sent for an alternator replacement and was able to fix my car in under an hour and I was on my way. Tony was so kind and explained everything that could have happened to my car, and what the new part would do. On top of all of that, I left my work phone in the lobby and the next day was a critical work day for me. I left a message after the shop closed about the phone but decided to drive down at risk early in the morning before they opened just in case. I got in right after opening and someone had my phone ready right behind the counter, and I got a call from Tony right after letting me know they had the phone and making sure I got it. While it wasn't the best circumstances, I am so grateful I found this mechanic shop on my travels!! My battery light went on in my VW Westfalia camper south of Red Bluff in 100+ degree weather on the way to go camping in the Mt. Shasta area. We limped into camp that evening but could not start my buss the next morning. The AAA driver recommended Dunsmuir Tire and towed us there. They immediately got to work patching my tire (it had 2 holes), put my wheel back on and my donut back in my trunk and had me back on the road in less than half an hour for $20. read more
