I was really excited to try DuPont Threading and am sad to report I will not be coming back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I came for an eyebrow threading and fortunately was seated right away because there was no one in the store.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I asked for an eyebrow cleaning (nothing drastic). However, my eyebrows were noticeably uneven by the end. When I asked for them to be evened out, they still were uneven and I gave up. Additionally, I had lots of redness and swelling/scabs that took a few days to heal (not ideal a day before attending a wedding!). I saw they offer eyebrow lamination as well - a service that seems almost too hard to find these days - and it came out beautiful. I was happy to see that there was a threading place so close by and Dupont threading on top of that. I have been to the DC location and always had a great experience. This experience however was very different as I walked in, there was already one person in the chair that was being taken care of and I was next. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Once that person finished, the lady said "sit in the chair" from across the room and appeared annoyed that I didn't hear her the first time (I had no idea she was speaking to me as she never acknowledged me when I walked in and I was under the impression that she was still speaking to the client before me).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She did not speak or ask what I wanted, I proceeded to tell her I was there for full face threading.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She was very rough, barely spoke 2 words and kept pushing my face in whatever direction she pleased. The threading was very painful and I realized my whole left face still has hair after I left. I have had threading done for years and my experience has never been like this one. The dim lighting makes it very hard to see if there are any hair remaining - I think for $45 (excluding tip) I expect a job well done. this place is great-- clean, fast, efficient. they even sell bangles and purses and other desi accessories. the main room where you get threaded is great and the back room where you get waxed is pretty spartan but they do a great job and when you get waxed, thats really all you care about :) its also pretty easy to park in the parking lot btwn the AMC movie theatre and Arlington police dept, and Dupont threading is a 2 min walk from that parking lot. read more

I was looking for a new eyebrow threading location in Arlington, and thanks to Yelp found Dupont Threading. After reading the awesome reviews, I decided to visit today. I arrived shortly after opening and was greeted by Ms. Pabitra. Ms. Pabritra was very professional, gentle and took her time threading my eyebrows. My eyebrows turned out perfect and I was pleased with the results. Ms. Pabritra is only there on Friday's, so I definitely recommend going when she is there. You can call and make an appointment or walk-in for services. I was also grateful that COVID safety precautions are in place and masks are to be worn. Can't wait to return in 2 weeks!!!! read more

I've been getting my eyebrows threaded here for the last 5 months now and I really wish I'd discovered it sooner! It's conveniently located right at courthouse plaza, but honestly I'd go way out of my way to get service done like they do here. I have very thick natural eyebrows that I struggled to shape myself until I came here, they're honestly gorgeous now. My friends say it's pricey at $14, but for the quality of work they put in (I've never had someone trim some of my eyebrow hairs with scissors afterwards to shape them properly) it's so worth it, besides it's only $14. I came in today just to get my eyebrows cleaned up. When I walked in there was one girl in the chair and another girl waiting in the waiting area. Shortly after I arrived the girl in the chair and the girl threading the eyebrows went into the back room. Meanwhile another girl came to get her eyebrows threaded so there were three of us in the waiting area. I waited patiently. When it was finally my turn to get in the chair the girl threading, Sweena, ask me what I wanted so I told her I just wanted to get my eyebrows cleaned up. I could tell almost immediately that she wasn't doing it quite right because she was doing a really fast job. A short time later she give me a mirror and I was shocked! She had totally changed the shape of my eyebrows and they were BAD! When I told her this she said, "I don't know what you mean. All I did is clean your eyebrows." I'm thinking to myself there's a HOLE in my eyebrow now. She didn't apologize she said, "Well let me see what I can do". But she didn't do anything because she realized if she did anymore it would just cause more damage. My eyebrows look horrible! Girls like her are the reason why my eyebrows are so thin and why I have a hard time growing them out. Every time someone like her messes up my eyebrows I just die a little bit inside. The least she could've done was apologize. Anyone looking at my eyebrows can see that they do not look the same! I come to this location every so often on different days and have nailed it down to come Wednesdays because I really like the threader. I came in this Wednesday and and it was a different girl (blonde highlights) and I've had her before and did not like her because she had previously been super rough and has even burped on me, audible enough that my boyfriend sitting on the couch heard it; does not matter that she's wearing a mask that is disgusting. I haven't gotten my eyebrows done since February, and you could TELL it had been six months (see photo ). I had an appointment last week with Rama and it was my first time at Dupont Threading. She cleaned my brows up so well and gave me the perfect shape and arch while maintaining the thickness I wanted! Really excellent service by the gentle young women. They thread eyebrows as you like and they are also able to fix upper lip/ sideburns and so forth. Threading is a good way to deal with facial hair for most women. Much nicer than waxing. You might end up waiting in their nice space for 20 minutes if you happen to be behind others...but in general it's a very pleasant and low stress atmosphere. The shop is adjacent to the Sawatdee Thai restaurant behind the fountain inside the Courthouse Plaza. NOT visible from the street. read more

The lighting is dim inside which makes it difficult for the person doing the so called threading. All I want to say is just because you do not see the hair you left behind doesn't mean it's not there. It was a 1st visit for me and the very last. I wanted to update on covid practices as I've been getting my eyebrows threaded since they opened again! While I've been to other locations when stopping in after work, this location is closer for me to pop into while WFH. I like that they've started to take appointments which limits the number of people in the salon at a time, and the esthetician is masked at all times and checks your temperature upon arrival. Rama is my preferred esthetician these days (currently working Thurs & Sat). She's super friendly, thorough (which is important for someone with thick eyebrows like me!) and pays attention to detail. I've felt comfortable enough to return every few weeks or so and pamper myself in this pandemic. read more

Popped in on a Saturday afternoon. I called ahead for an appointment but could have easily walked in. It was only me and the esthetician, who was also masked. I could tell she was experienced as the threading did not hurt as other places I'd gone to in the past. After a couple minutes, my eyebrows were shaped very well with very minimal redness especially after a quick pass of rosewater. I paid with my card and was out in less than 10 mins, what a breeze! For $13 for just eyebrows, it's the average for the area but I liked my experience enough to go back again! Found myself here because Pabitra works here on Fridays and I adore her. She's such a cute and small woman and is really sweet. She gets my brows right every time so I don't care which location she is at I will travel to her if need be. She takes her time and gets every little detail. This location is nice, very spacious and tidy. This was my first time going so finding the place was a little tricky. I had to find a directory of the shopping center because my gps was not helping me. Parking isn't all that either but I believe there is a garage you can park at if you don't want to find street parking. However I think it's worth it because you can park for .83¢ for 15 mins so it's worth the look ‍. Other than that, all hassle is worth it to get my brows done right! read more

I normally go to DuPont Threading's 18th Street location, but the Clarendon location is closer to where I live so I started going to this location after Covid. My eyebrows have been threaded by a couple different women at the Clarendon salon and they've all done a great job. My eyebrows are a bit thicker, so I'm always nervous about over-arching or over-threading, but the ladies are always really attentive and cater to my concerns. I recommend calling ahead to schedule an appointment. They'll fit you in if the schedule is open, but because of the pandemic they're a little more strict about keeping as few people in the salon as possible. Re safety -- I definitely felt comfortable here. The ladies take your temperature, wear masks (of course), and use copious amount of hand sanitizer, if they're not using gloves. The only place I will get my eyebrows done. Pricing: they are very reasonable for eyebrows ($12) and if you go frequently, you should get their punch card which gives you a free eyebrow after 10 visits. Location: kind of tucked away in the plaza by sawadtee, and very small shop. It is bare bones decor but all you need for a quick in and out. There are maybe 3 chairs total which is all you need. I rarely have more than one person in front of me. Shaping: I have been to several of the women there, and have no complaints. I have my favorite, who works midday during the week and I think the shape she creates is the best. But they are all really good! And they have rose water at the end to calm your skin. read more
