She had Lengua and Pastor tacos and I went with crunchy taco Tuesday special...Potato hard shell taco and the Carne asada burrito. First off the crunchy taco with mashed creamy potato was delicious and the carne asada burrito was ridiculously good with tender not dry meat!!! She thought her tacos were delicious too!!! I've been searching for a good tacqueria and Gerardos is pretty decent! I had pastor and asada tacos and I really liked the pastor tacos. Out of the four salsa choice my favorite was the avocado salsa, a bit savory but more flavorful than the red and green salsas. Those two were very watery. We also got two tamales and they were delicious, recommend the beef one more. My husband had the asada burrito, it had not a lot of rice, tasted good. My husband also had the hard tacos and they were pretty good and cheap, the meats were basic but it was a good deal. Our granddaughter brought us take out dinner from Gerardo's the other night, and we were greatly surprised. We had a multitude of different things and all were delicious. With large portions of meat used in all, from tacos to burritos to fajitas, we were so full half way thru n had lots for lunch the next day. The meat was perfectly seasoned not too spicy, but extra sauces were sent along in case you wanted more. I had the Nevada burritos, with French fries n beef, and loved it. Not any Mexican restaurant that offers Cabeza meat can cook it really good. Let me tell you, Gerardo's can! The meat is super soft and melt in your mouth delicious. I've tried several different spots that offers Cabeza and so far Gerardo's is the best and a must try if you like this type of meat. The green salsa is so good! The employees are super nice and welcoming. Prices and dish selections are good! The second burrito didn't make it due to my belly lol pricing was very reasonable $12.50 for 2 healthy burritos is a steal during these economic times. Mood: Authentic Mexican I've been here four times and haven't had a bad meal yet. Customer service is quick and helpful. Always available to add those extra onions and hot peppers. They do not skimp out which will have be back again and again. Make sure you get the green salsa. All my meals have been for take out but the inside is spacious for sure to dine in. Food: Carne asada burrito 9/10: this is fully loaded (no cheese) and they are good size burrito. One thing I like is a hefty burrito and doesn't fall apart on bites. Chicken tamales 7/10: way more saucey than I prefer. Made fresh with ok flavor. Think needed more taste of flavor and seasoning. Enchiladas 8/10: green sauce enchiladas plate is for sure filling and tasty. It has good seasoning and size. I enjoy the platter with rice and beans. It's also not overly cheesy. We are doing a family taste testing of chicken tacos (fast casual range). I just checked the website today and yes, it is inaccurate. It is priced at $3.50 each. Not cool. We were looking at other items on the menu. But it was pricey. So were the combos, pricey. So we walked in, saw the menu and walked out. Hubby said either someone's being lazy about updating the menu or it's a ploy to get you inside the restaurant. It's a fast food Mexican restaurant. The menu was like Robertos Taco Shop. I just discovered this place and I'm so happy. So far every time I've ordered anything it has always all been delicious. All the tacos are great, the asada isn't lumpy/stringy/nor chewy, you get good carne asada. The lengua and cabeza are the best imo. I finally tried their menudo and it is so good! They never disappoint. Their portions are perfect and they are generous with salsa, napkins and utensils; hardly anywhere gives us these anymore. We spotted the sign for this little place as we were driving by. Decided to try it out - because, why not?! Cute little clean place tucked back in a (not very busy) shopping center. The employees were helpful when the soda machine was having an issue and in greeting us. I almost didn't go in when I saw the "no shirt, no shoes, no mask, no service" sign. I saw a drive through for tacos so I had to go ‍. We tried soft and a hard shell chicken tacos. We enjoyed them. The wait was about 5 minutes or so and the food came out hot. The tacos came with beans and chips. I was surprised the chicken was different for the soft taco and the hard taco which was disappointing. I got a shrimp and steak plate as I'm halfway through my meal I see that the shrimps still have the poop inside them ! Figured try a new taco place since I was in the area, disappointed and won't be returning. Looked good from the pictures online but I ended up throwing most of my meal away. Boyfriend liked his ground beef burrito but it was nothing special, I could have added a pack of taco seasoning to some ground beef and yield the same results.
