NY Strip. Just thicker than the pad of butter. Chewy as beef jerky. Though maybe it was mistook for a skirt steak.

The good: 5 stars for the ambience. The rooftop is awesome with a huge bar, umbrellas and fire pits. Top tier design all around. The vibe and location are amazing. Great job on the construction, totally blown away! This is where it ends though. We got there 4:30 to put in a name for a rooftop table. Was told it was a 45min wait. No problem. Waited at the bar and had a drink. The bartender was working alone, completely overwhelmed. I paid $15 for a high noon and two sodas. 1 hr went by and we checked on the table, they said another 45 min. Meanwhile multiple people got tables before us, I know for a fact we were there way before them. Ended up getting a table downstairs. Not a huge deal but a strike nonetheless. I don't like to complain, just want to have a good experience. At the table we ordered drinks and food. The old fashioned was not made correctly whatsoever. It was whisky and water with a dash of bitters. Tender shook it in a shaker lol. $10. Ordered a NYSS which was under 1/2" think and was completely over cooked. I ate one bite it was no joke like eating beef jerky. Worst steak I ever got at a restaurant. Coupled with a side salad which came out with the meal and a baked potato. I sent it back and didn't want another one. I've never done that before but there was no way i was going to pay $32 for a piece of beef jerky. Our server took it off the bill with no questions. She knew it wasn't right. No fault of hers. My wife was given a cold cheeseburger. Not even warm, air temperature. Other people in our group had better luck with the sandwiches. Durbins is confusing. The place looks like it will be an incredible dining experience. The food is not good at all. The service is sub par in some areas, better in others. Overheard others complaining, "what the heck is going on?!" And I quote. I hope they figure out a better menu, better QUALITY food, more efficient kitchen, friendlier staff with more personality and experience. 5 stars for ambience, awesome 2 stars for service 2 stars for food quality 2 stars for attentiveness 1 star for the old fashioned (downstairs bar) I don't mean to sound too critical and wanted it to be great. I'm being nice. Lower your expectations before going here. I'm sure in time they'll get it right and I'd love to try it again when they do and give them a revised 5 star review. It's the coolest location and if you're just coming for BASIC beers and drinks it's going to be a great time.

Onion Ring Tower. Very tasty. Exactly what we expected.

This is by far the nicest Durbin's of them all, but that's because it's brand new. Taking up residence in the soon-to-be-open Harmony Square, this Durbin's has a large main floor with a big bar featuring plenty of T.V.'s, and also a large rooftop bar with seating that overlooks the new Harmony Square music shell venue. Their food is their food. It's decent bar food featuring apps, sandwiches & pizza. We ordered the onion ring tower and a small thin crust pepperoni and mushroom pizza. Both were very good, and nicely complimented the cold beers we were drinking while watching the Cubs battle the Yankees. One of our neighbors has already been here a handful of times, and she was very critical about the service, but we had no issues on our visit. The bartender was prompt and friendly. Once completed, this whole area in downtown Tinley Park is going to be really nice, and as long as Durbin's keeps doing what they did today, they'll be here for a long time.

    Mushroom risotto- very good

Loved the outdoor rooftop atmosphere! Beautiful place but there are several kinks to work out. Service was terrible- server forgot drinks, lil plates for appetizers, didn't know the specials, etc. Several tables were left without clean up. Also, ordered a BLT wrap which had a ton of lettuce and a handful of bacon bits- seriously not actual bacon. Pop mix was off. Good notes- black and bleu burger, mushroom risotto and steak bites w polenta were fantastic!

Delicious Menu. Memas Lasagna House Favorite Kelly Special. These entrees shot it out of the park!, Winners!

Good food and good service. Enjoyed the rooftop and the views of downtown Tinley Park.

The Whistle is a great place for watching games or any sports. Maybe just get better food. You can find crap tons to get but it could be too complicated for the chaotic kitchen. Crowded when we got in. It's got a few big ass TVs so you can watch tons of games going on. There's a lot of areas for tables. Along the walls were the more personal ones for couples. There's also a long bar but there was no room there. It has a lot of specials including Teeling Small Batch whiskey shots at $5 on Mondays. There's a crap ton on the menu including tacos. A lot of things to choose from. It's about $11 for the Vegetable Tacos. A great choice among the vegetarian options. These are topped with avocado, cheese but I left it off, lettuce, onions, peppers, and pico de gallo, filling stuff. Great place for hanging and being crazy. It's got another location in Oak Lawn so have fun there too. The service is kind of slow but they're usually slamming so whatever.

Not good. Not good. Not good. Regrettably ordered two "made to order" sandwiches from their deli…read morecounter. Both sucked BIG TIME. First sandwich was a custom sub sandwich of turkey, Genoa salami, and rosemary ham with cheese, tomatoes, vinegar/oil, and Italian spices. How a sandwich could taste funny is beyond me, but it did. The meat tasted old and was flavorless. It was pre-cut, not freshly cut meat, so who knows how long it had been sitting out in the counter. The bread was stale, could have broke windows with it. They barely put any meat on it (not that I would have wanted more), the sandwich was all bread. No Italian herbs on sandwich. And the icing on the cake, instead of putting a nice, fresh vinegar and oil/sub oil on the sandwich, I was given a two ounce little package of some generic vinegar and oil that was pre-fabricated by some wholesale company, which also tasted really off. The second regrettable purchase was an Italian sausage sandwich. That too was horrendous. The sausage itself had a funny, off taste, not a nice blend of seasonings. And not that I would have wanted more, but the Italian sausage was old and shriveled, so it was like a child-size portion. I asked for some red sauce on the side, let's just say Ragu would have been better, and that's not saying much. To add further insult to injury, the bun was stale. Also got some Nutella butter cookies that they farm in from D'Amatos that is in the city. I have been in D'Amatos and I love their cookies. With that said, these D'Amato cookies were stale/also tasted off. The tip-off should have been the fact that they must have had fifty or more packaged D'Amatos cookies on their shelf. They are bumping $10.00 for around maybe 12 cookies, so they obviously don't sell all that quickly, turn stale, and there you have it. Also weird vibe in there. The employees (including the Rubino son who is always in the deli area) are not friendly at all. I might be a little bit more forgiving if the employees/owner were nice but they are just really indifferent and very unfriendly (especially the owner). Very unfortunate. Sandwiches from Subway would have been better.
