I was excited for I had heard wonderful things about Dustin, yet scared as all my interactions with hair stylists in the past who say they do curly hair always ended with poor haircuts and styles that were not right for my hair: that was so not the case with Dustin. He is a genuine specialist! Dustin warmly greeted me at the salon, and asked me what my hair goals were. He listened intently and could pick up on my nervousness and immediately put me at ease by taking time to explain that I could attain those goals, explained how I could, and talked me through everything he was going to do to my hair and why. The haircut is by far the best I have ever received for my curls! The cut and color rejuvenated my love for my hair. I recently had a curly cut with Dustin, and even though this review is a little late, I still wanted to share what an amazing experience I had! From the moment I arrived, Dustin was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel comfortable right away. When it came to my hair, he did a fantastic job! I first chanced upon Dustin in 2021, after halfheartedly growing out my hair during the pandemic. Before then, I'd only been to cheap barbershops, so I was sort of used to my curls being mutilated by gruff older gentlemen--resigned to it even, having dissociated countless times while watching tufts of hair rain down onto the floor as my barber tried to get me to engage in locker room talk with him. He is one of those rare people who could dedicate themselves to pretty much anything and excel at it. So this time I made sure to thoroughly research the best curly hair specialists in the area and it paid off! Dustin immediately made me feel comfortable. This was my first curly cut and it was amazing! I found Dustin after doing my research and looking into different salons and I am so glad I went with him. I've never done a curly cut before because for the longest time I would just trim my ends but this time I wanted to go short and wanted to make sure that my hair cut would suit me.
