I usually enjoy Dutch Bros for their drinks, but this location at Bullard and West seriously struggles with customer service during busy morning hours. The biggest issue isn't the quality of the drinks, it's the efficiency at the window. Multiple times now, I've watched employees carry on long conversations (sometimes five minutes or more) with people who appear to be off-duty coworkers or regulars, while a full line of cars sits waiting. Mornings are when most people are headed to work, school, or appointments, so keeping the line moving should be a priority. By the time I finally reach the window, my drink has often been sitting there long enough to melt or separate, which is frustrating when you're paying premium prices for specialty drinks. It makes the whole stop feel rushed on the customer side but oddly slow on the service side. Friendly service is great; I know Dutch Bros prides itself on being personable but there has to be a balance between chatting and respecting everyone else's time in line. A quick hello and moving the order along would go a long way, especially during peak hours. I don't drink coffee so I don't understand its long drive-thru line that rivals In & Out. My brother & I were out picking up lunch when I asked if he wanted a coffee because I remembered DBC's long line so it should be worthy for his discriminating tastes. He said he likes them, & they got their start about 30 years ago as a pushcart in OR. He typically orders flavored coffees because their coffee roasts aren't as strong as SB. When we rolled up, there was still a long line after lunch rush but thought they should be quick -- they're not. After putting in his order, I saw a $1 discount on muffins with a Yelp check-in, but the shift leader never heard of this. It wasn't until I got to the window, & the cashier had to double-check before granting the discount. I guess there aren't too many Yelpers who claim the discount? I can't comment on the coffee, but Barry says it was good. The muffin top was a decent size & relatively flat. I don't know about reproducing a muffin top as a standalone vs. an actual muffin & cutting off the "muffin top." It was a tasty lemon poppyseed with a nice hit of citrus, but can't call it a "muffin top" because it doesn't have the right texture. This Dutch Bros Coffee has a walk-up window & a drive-thru. No matter the time of day, as long as they're open there's at least 1/2 dz. cars in queue & often more during early mornings & lunch rush, even late in the evening. Service is friendly if a tad slow due to the long line; almost 30-mins. before we pulled up to the window. I'm not sure of the going rate for flavored coffees, but they're even more expensive than the standard bobas. DBC has other drinks besides coffee; I'll be back to try their lemonades & teas. I paid $16 for two coffees waited for 20 min got both large said LARGE and they handed me a medium I said no it's supposed to be a large she wouldn't even let me pay the difference for the large I had to pay for a whole extra large drink, Wow way to try and scam customers. Dutch Bros is FIRE, it really is! I come here more than I should a few times a week. My go to is their Iced Kicker and Iced Annihilator. On hot summer days whenever I feel like it, I like to get their Irie (Iced/blended banana green tea). Customer service has really gone downhill from when I first started getting Dutch a few years back. The friendly, high energy vibe is not the same as it used to be. The last two Holidays that my fiancé and I came here, the employees working weren't even aware of the PROMO they had going on! They also stopped giving complimentary drinks to first timers. I brought a few first timers here over the years and the last time I brought my guests coming from out of town, the workers just rang the Cow Bell with a bogus cheer... If you like sweet coffees, this is the place to go~ I've been to the one in Davis many times, but first time in Fresno area. Dutch bros is a drive thru coffee place offered in central/northern california area. Line can be very long depending on the timing, but both times we went, the wait was less than 15 min. For ordering there is a person with a digital pad that comes out to take your order. Sizes of drinks are huge here, the small size is the same as grande at starbucks, price can range from $4~$7 depending on drink and size. They have many options of cold brew, ice/blended/hot flavored coffee, energy drinks, tea, and smoothie. My personal favorites are the iced 911 and double torture, both will give you that caffeine spike and are not as sweet as the other coffees. We also tried the seasonal orange creamsicle blended and iced coffee drink, which was a little lacking in orange flavor. The blended drinks were way too sweet for me. Service is fast and workers are super friendly and hardworking~ Would love to try the energy infusions my next visit! read more

I usually go to this location when the one on Shaw is really busy. They're usually less busy, but their drinks always taste great. They have a small outdoor patio area and a walk up window you can order from if you don't want to wait in the drive they line. The workers always have a great attitude! This Dutch bros is my regular location when I get a drink. Today I decided to get myself and a friend a drink. The line was short but unfortunately we had to wait a while because the employee behind the register was talking with a customer about something entirely unrelated. When we finnaly did get our drink both were messed up. We had both gotten blended lemonades mine with popping boba and hers without. Absolutely love this place! I have yet to order anything I haven't loved and now that I know about their secret menu I have to admit, I've become addicted to Bob Marley's. It's a mixture of chocolate and banana flavor. What's not to love. The line can look intimidating at times, but they seem to make it a point to have someone about 4 cars down from the window taking orders and sending them back to the mothership so that when you get to the window all you have to do is pay, chat with the lovely lady (usually a girl) and your on your way. Also, this location, unlike the Ashland one, has a walk up window and outside seating. If you've never tried Dutch Bro's or been hesitant for some reason, try them! As much as I hate to make the lines any longer than they already are, I would be doing a disservice by allowing people to continue to waste their money at Starbucks. Dutch Bros Coffee is a drive-through coffee chain, and they are the largest in the United States according to Wikipedia. I have been to a few of them in Fresno, and this one is by my friend's place. You'll find their menu is colorful not only with their cups with blue letters and a blue, red, and white striped line but their assortment of drinks. Coffee, cold brew, latte, lemonade, mocha, smoothie, sodas, and tea. The Rebel drinks taste like flavored Red Bull. I wonder how'd they taste as a mixed drink. They have a bunch of flavors with interesting names, so you'd have to look at the ingredients to see if it's what you like. For example, among the Breves, the Annihilator is a chocolate macadamia nut. The Trifecta Breve has caramel, white chocolate, and dark chocolate, so very decadent but good. Dutch Bros is great for energizing sweet drinks with cool names. read more

Personally, this was a 3 for me--but only because the drinks are super sweet. I gave four stars because customer service has always been awesome, and the drinks are fresh and made quick. That being said, I always have to add an extra shot to my sweet coffee drinks, or ask for half of the syrup/flavoring to prevent the drink from being a liquid sugar lick. I am glad there are alternatives to the big SBUX. Even if it is another chain, I will be happy to shop here as long as they keep the service up good and drinks fresh. read more

You know, I always heard about Dutch Bros from friends and family and they always raved about it and I was stuck on Coffee Bean for the longest time being a Californian, and I finally decided to go to this location in Fresno since I was in town for a concert and... let's just my life was changed! O...M..G...!!!! I seriously wanted to throw my mocha latte from Starbucks in the garbage because I never knew how good coffee could be from a chain until now. WOW! I live about 2 hours south of Fresno and I really, really, REALLY wish they would build one here. The quality of the coffee is off the chain and just amazingly delicious and smooth! I have only had the regular ice blended coffee and the hot cocoa, but good lord, they were amazing! I also tried their muffin top pastries and they were fantastic! The only let-down with Dutch Bros is the that the lines here can be a bit crazy so make sure you have enough time to get coffee especially if you are going to work in the morning. However, it's understandable why the lines here are crazy--- the coffee is amazing! Dutch Bros, please build one of these in Kern County. We sorely need a fantastic coffee place other than Starbucks. Yum yum yum. Lines are always long so bring your patience and prepare to wait. The girls who work here and super cute and bubbly which makes for a nice experience while waiting. Better than your standard Starbucks as they have many different flavors to choose from. The coffee drinks have either a mocha base or a breve base (steamed half and half). All of the coffee options are also available hot, iced or blended. Besides coffee they also have energy drink based drinks that you can have either blended or on ice.
