I love visiting Dutch Bros whenever I am in Hillsboro visiting my daughter. I live in Seattle, and Dutch Bros locations are much harder to find. I do often stop at the Chehalis location as they are also quite efficient and friendly. It is the engaging of the staff that draws me to Dutch Bros. The coffee is good, but it is the service that keeps me coming back. Yesterday, Lindsey, (sp?) commented that the dog food I had in the car was the same as she purchases for hers. OG TV HIGHWAY! There are several reasons I go to this particular stand and it's not because it's the closest. The people in this location absolutely put their best efforts in to be personable, empathetic, and accurate! My coffee order has evolved over the 15 years I've been going to this stand and my order now has a ridiculous amount of words and THEY GET IT RIGHT EVERY TIME! I will go to Dutch anywhere. Absolutely love this location. Always so friendly and they remember who we are and our order. Today we helped someone in front of Dutch stuck up on the curb and then went to order our drinks which they already had made for us and they gave them to us as I guess they watched us stop and take the time to do a good deed and pull someone off the median between them and Jack In the box. The girl we pulled off offered to buy us coffee but I have been in her situation before and said no worries we got it. It was such a nice surprise that not only did they have our order ready but gave us our drinks as they saw us spend our time helping someone. The barista was very friendly and even stopped to ask how our day is going. The drink was made relatively quickly and it tasted perfect. I have been a supporter of Dutch for years but today will be my last day going there , especially this location on TV Highway. I'm a coffee enthusiast and make sure to have a good portfolio of all the talented baristas and their work over the years. So today the barista making my drink was amazingly talented and quick so I tried to get a video of that and she didn't even complain but one of the other gals there started yelling very rudely : "what are you taking a picture of , I complemented her colleague and she again with a rude attitude said no she won't like that. The staff here is very nice but one of the staff members seems mad or something but that's okay because he works the day hours and I normally go in the morning or evening. Sometimes the music is way to loud because honestly I don't like yelling my order or having them not hear what I said because the music being to loud. I'm so glad I discovered DBs! The people taking orders are usually so friendly and happy to chat. The baristas seem like they're having fun, and most times will comment on my purple car or ask me what I'm up to today. It just feels like a place that knows me, even if I've never been to a specific location. Oh right, and the coffee is really good! My favorite coffee spot! The baristas are always pleasant and professional. They've gone above and beyond to memorize my order. They work fast and do a tremendous job. I've seen a couple comments about the long lines. Everyone and their grandmother on T.V. Hwy loves this location. So it's rare to have less than 2 cars in line at any given time. When you have that many people coming through, there's only so much you can do. If you plan on coming to this location, give yourself an extra 15 minutes. It's a busy spot! read more

This is the absolute WORST Dutch Bros. I have ever been to. This review is not about the coffee, it's about the employees at this location. I've been a big fan of Dutch Bros. for over 5 years now. It's been my morning fuel almost everyday before work, before college classes. I have probably spent about $5,000 on coffee here and easily another $2,000 on tips. However, all that loyalty were at locations on the other side of town. I recently moved to Hillsboro and have been UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED with this specific location. The line in the morning is ridiculously long. However, so were the ones on the other side of town. The girls that worked there knew what coffee I wanted everyday and would walk a few cars back, hand me coffee, and tell me to have a great day. This line is long at this location because the employees are a bunch of slack kids that blare music and take their sweet ass time doing anything. I have waited over twenty minutes...in a line of three people. When you pull up to the window, unshaven, tattooed slobs are blaring music so loud you have to repeat your order two or three times. This happened in the dozen or so times I tried this place on the way to my new job. I normally don't judge by appearance, as it's the "in" thing working at Dutch Bros....but when the attitude matches the appearance, it's sad. My orders have been messed up multiple times with no apology. Using my debit card most mornings, I figured finally throwing a $20 in the tip jar when I did have cash would get these guys to perk up a little bit and try a little harder. NO, as a matter of fact, quite the opposite. Shortly after my generosity motivation attempt, I pulled in the driveway after work one night to get a chai. Only one car was in front of me. I waited while the same guy I tipped the other day had a nice 15 minute chat with his friend in the car. He literally stuck his out the window multiple times, looked right at me, and kept on talking. Wasn't handing him coffee, wasn't working...just chatting it up with his buddy. Finally his friend pulls out and I pull up totally pissed off. And guess what? No apology, no nothing. Just, "Whoa man, that guy can talk." That's a load of b.s. There was another employee in there just bumping around to their god awful tasteless music...I feel bad for the mother who pulls up with young kids to order drinks while that same @-hole is bumping rap about "booty-hoes" and all the other totally inappropriate crap they play there, full of swears, sexual suggestions, etc. Great, I like dirty club music too...at the club. Not at a local coffee stand..where families go. To add insult to injury, the guy charged me for my coffee, handed me back my stamp card and never even stamped it. I complained to the manager a few days later...who seemed to give a shit about as much as his apparent "bro" that works there did. SO I GO TO BLACK ROCK RIGHT DOWN THE STREET. IT IS AWESOME!!!! THEIR COFFEE IS AWESOME!!! THE WAIT TIME IS UNDER ONE MINUTE! THEY ACTUALLY HAVE THE VOLUME DOWN AND LISTEN TO NICE MUSIC. THEY BRUSH THEIR HAIR AND SMILE WHEN YOU PULL UP TO THE WINDOW. Am I the only one in Oregon who doesn't like Dutch Bros? Or am I just one of the few not afraid to say so? If you are looking for a cup of sugar, and over the top sweetness, this is the "coffee" for you. I say "coffee" with great hesitation. I have never had anything here that remotely tastes like coffee. Many things they call coffee, or lattes or mochas taste more like thick hot chocolate. Anyway, there, I said it. Dutch Brothers is gross. This particular coffee stand is one of the worst as it usually has two very long lines of vehicles waiting for their coffee....guess someone likes this stuff. lol! read more

Blended iced kicker, it's calling to me even as I sit here and type. The people are always very friendly and helpful; I've visited a lot of Dutch Brothers and it always amazes me how they consistently hire great people. I'm also a big fan of their coffee, smooth, usually not too sweet, and not too much caffeine. And it's reasonably priced. Sure beats going to a Starbucks, Attack of the Clones re-run with over-caffeinated sour coffee. But I guess Dutch is also starting to clone themselves everywhere now too, but they all seem to be franchises started and owned by young people so maybe something better is happening here. And now that they offer coconut instead of soy milk, I am a happy person. I probably don't want to count the number of punch cards that I have cashed in. The kids love their pina colada mini smoothie during the summer and their not so hot chocolate during the winter. One secret is probably their blue insulated metal coffee mugs. I have used many travel mugs all the way back to collecting Coffee People mugs (yes, remember them? You can visit Jim & Patty at 49th & Fremont and grab some coffee cake). But these metal double-walled mugs keep cold drinks cold for hours and hot drinks hot for hours. I'm always surprised after coming back to the car after being in a store for an hour or more. I don't recommend their clear ceramic mugs because the lids crack after a four foot drop in the kitchen. The Tully's inside Albertsons seems to have a good price for clear ceramic mugs. I also usually enjoy the music that they play, the volume was sometimes a little too loud, but that hasn't been an issue the last couple of months. read more

The creative staff goes out of their way to come up with different drinks every time I visit. My favorite is a 421 (four shots espresso, two shots tepid water, and one shot heavy cream) - no cooling time needed and a great tasting, quick 7ouncer! The only limit is your imagination. They make espresso-based drinks not brewed coffee based drinks. My kids prefer their kid friendly hot chocolates in reusable spill-resistant cups. read more

I always bought a iced tea during the summer when the days are too hot, and a smoothie for my loved ones. I really enjoy the drinks here, and I love how if you buy 10 drinks you get one free. This place is really convenient to go to and the staff there are really cool. I was literally there almost every day last summer to the point where this girl who worked their remembered our names and asked us exactly what we wanted. Okay, this place is fine for a good Cup o' Joe made-to-order, but I feel the need to rate them on their environmental impact (I wouldn't be a good Oregonian/Human if I didn't consider this, correct?) 1. This Dutch Bros is a drive through with a long line (good for them), but all that idling. Egad. Perhaps a sign that asks patrons to "turn it off "* while they wait? 2. They don't offer a bring-your-own-cup-other-than-a-Dutch-Bro-model discount, and if you use their paper to-go cups for a "hot" order, they give you DOUBLE CUPS! Egad again! 3. You have to shout your order over the ever constant humping-bumping musical noise pollution from within. I get that the employees, who are ALL very personable and nice and even know you by name, are probably jumpin' on the java fumes and need to work-it-out, but it gets aggravating and makes it an effort to order something you came to ultimately sooth yourself with. I was at this location one week ago today. There were two cars ahead of me. Due to previous issues, I timed them. It took 16 minutes to get to the window. Today I thought dare I try them again? Again, two cars ahead of me. Looked at my clock, 3:30 pm. At 3:38 pm an employee came out the door with my drink and apologized for the wait. By the time she went in and stamped my card it was 3:41. Her name was Marissa, super nice and apologized again saying there were new people out weighing the trained. Evidentially, its been going on for quite a while. By the time the car in front of me pulled through, it had been 18 minutes. The line on the opposite side had six cars waiting. I ordered my drink with Peppermint added, which they did not do.
