My family and I were in Woodland to check out the grand opening of a nearby restaurant and I remembered that Dutch Bros was giving away free Mother's Day stickers. We waited in line for way longer than other locations I have visited - seriously if we didn't have someone behind us in the drive-thru line, we would have left. We ordered a Palm Beach Lemonade and a Tropical Myst because I'm a blue raspberry stan. We were also given 2 Mother's Day stickers as well. Drinks were good and kept us hydrated during our ride back home to Sacramento. I can't comment on the ambiance since it was the drive-thru, but besides the line moving really long, everything else was good - staff were very friendly and personable! That is my main reason I only go to Dutch to get a specialty espresso drink as they don't have other brew methods. **they do offer canned cold brew - don't want to sell them short on that. The staff here are upbeat and friendly. The line was long but they got through it quickly. I always order the same thing 3 shots of espresso over ice in a small cup with a splash of cream and hazelnut pump so it was no different today :) my coffee was delicious. Kicker with the soft top is my favorite sweet treat around here. The only thing abt this location is that the consistency can vary sometimes. I went to two different locations today, and both messed up my drink. The first one used the wrong milk even though I specifically asked for oat and the second didn't put any flavor in my golden eagle. I don't usually leave reviews, but it was disappointing to have the same order made wrong twice in a row, especially when I went out of my way to fix the first mistake. If you're going for walk up prepare to wait longer than the car line... even as it grows. I've gone multiple times (no more) while walking my dog and will be ignored while cars are helped repeatedly. Today 10 cars that arrived after me that were helped. When I asked if I should just get in that line, they said they had no iPads working... the person taking car orders had an iPad, they charge everyone via iPad. It was a lie. I stayed another 10 minutes trying to give her the benefit of the doubt (while she stood there staring at an alternate iPad) and nothing. It was around 8 so after the morning rush. I wish they would use a method to help customers in order of arrival and not think blatantly lying is an acceptable way to do business. read more

I was craving for a drink and decided to stop by Dutch Bro's before going to Costco. The drive through line was super long with at least 8 cars so I decided to park and order. I walked up to the window and no one greeted me for at least 5 minutes. I have never had this bad of customer service at the other Dutch Bro's in the area; I'm usually greeted right away and someone is always working the window. It looked like they were prioritizing the drive through customers over the ones want to order up at the window. After 5+ minutes went by, someone finally said we'll be with you shortly. I placed my order and waited for my drinks. At this point, even though the drive through had so many cars, they were moving so much faster. A few minutes later, I got my drink. Half way through my drink, I noticed a dead ant at the bottom. I know it wasn't from my home because we don't have any ants in site. Grossed out, I tossed the rest out. From the very first time I went, to the time I went yesterday has been great - they never fail to give me what I want with the best service possible. Let me tell you about the first time I went, maybe two years ago... I had my skepticism about a little hut of drive through coffee. I had heard people saying they enjoyed it, but I couldn't bring myself to give it ago until that day. From the moment I pulled up to the window I was impressed. The menu had a variety of interesting choices (not the standard stuff you'd see at other coffee places). Everything looked delicious and it was laid out in a fun, unpretentious way. The person in the window greeted me warmly, and when I told them that it was my first time at Dutch Bros. they gave me my coffee for free... what?!?!? Who does that? Well, I guess they do, and they had me hooked. The free coffee didn't end with that first cup either. Dutch Bros. has a card stamp program that lets you get a free (any size) cup of coffee after the tenth stamp. What a great program to reward frequent visits! And not only that, there are always promotions going on that reward customers with even more stamps. On certain days they give nine stamps out when you buy a large coffee. Yup... NINE! My favorite drink at Dutch Bros. is their Kicker. The medium size is the perfect blend of coffee and ingredients for me. It is so smooth tasting! There are definitely times when that is the only drink I want in the morning. I can't think of another coffee place that has anything like it. If I'm out of time, it is seriously difficult for me to get coffee somewhere else. Oh yea, and I also love seeing what special message I get on my lid when I go. They are always fun and encouraging! I have to admit, I'm not a coffee purist, and perhaps coffee purists may not enjoy Dutch Bros. as much as I do, but I for one, cannot find fault with the place! At every Dutch Bros we visit, I never know what I want. I mean I have an idea of what I'm craving at that moment and then I swipe through their menu and I change my mind all over again. It happens all the time. So...what does an indecisive person like myself do? You tell the person taking your order what you are craving that day and he/she comes up with a drink and customizes to what you want added and it comes out as magic. I'm usually a whipped cream and chocolate drizzle kind of girls...you know the works...so basically any drink that I order will have that as its topping, no matter what it is. I've tried everything from peppermint drinks, to mint drinks, to snickerdoodle, to cookie, to cookies and cream...if it's nutty, chocolatey, and/or minty...I'm in. Everything is super delicious and you can adjust your sweetness level depending on what you order. They have an extensive menu. If you are too overwhelmed looking at the menu, just tell the person what you are looking for and what are your faves and they will come up with a drink and make it the way you like it. Once you get up to the window to pick up your drink they ask you to taste your drink to make sure you like it. If you don't like it or it feels like it's missing something, make sure to be nice and let them know. They are more than willing to make it the way you like it. Why pay for something you don't like...that just doesn't make sense. The workers are all friendly. Whenever I go to Dutch Bros the employees are always super friendly. They apologize for the long lines and are willing to go the extra mile to make sure that your order is perfect. I've been to this location several times and there is always a long line, no matter what time of day. I've recently discovered their lemonades. They are so good especially he watermelon and strawberry. The lemonade is not overpowering and when you ask for it to be sweetened it kinda reminds me of the lemonade my grandmother used to make. Perfect for a hot summer day. When it comes to their coffee I'm not a fan. It's usually super sweet that I can literally see sounds. When it's sweet like that I usually end up throwing it away. The guys n gals that work at this DD are sweethearts. Every time I am in the area and in the mood to tolerate the blaring music, I make it a point to satisfy my coffee fix here. I don't get to frequent DD a lot since I do not live near one. So I have no clue about all the options on their menu. But I can always rely on the staff here to help me out to provide suggestions on dairy free drinks while being treated like a superstar. They rock out the drinks quickly. They advise you to taste it first, if you don't like me it...they will make you something else or will tweak it to your liking. Talk about customer satisfaction. Awesome! But like I mentioned earlier, they blast the music as if it is a dance club. However I can do with dialing down a notch the volume of the music that is blaring in the kiosk. Not to say that they don't get long lines but just they have better locations and aren't the only place open now after 9pm that makes coffee. I personally love their slushees, Italian sodas and they make a great hot cocoa! Prices are decently cheap and they're consistent. I used to not be a fan of Dutch... I was a self professed coffee snob and I thought I was too good,.. then my daughter became a teenager. Now we go to Dutch quite frequently. She gets the strawberry watermelon rebel, and I get the Annihilator. I used to get it normal but now I order it half sweet. Even at half sweet it's still pretty sweet. But I discovered there is a problem when I drink a medium or larger Annihilator... After about 2 hours, I end up on the toilet and the only thing that's annihilated is my gut. I typically have a rather involved #2 that takes quite a bit of time. In fact, I'm currently on the pot writing this and being annihilated right this moment. We were about to get into some heavy rush hour traffic and all while it was over 100 degrees, so we decided to grab something from here before we got stuck for almost an hour! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE Jun 2nd, 2019 my friend & I walked up to the window & were waiting for about 7 minutes when this guy with two daughters on bicycles show up. Tell me why they attended them first? So I just got closer to the window so they can see we have not been attended. I could you not, EVERY employee stops talking to each other and gives me a dirty look. Then this blonde employee that took cars orders that was standing there watching us for a good 10 minutes finally said "has anyone took your order?" And I say "No. No one has attended us." I have always been skeptical about drive thru coffee places, but Dutch Bros nipped that in the bud real quick. Pulling up to place my order was an experience itself. The loud upbeat music that plays is like I'm at a rave! Although this area is located in a shopping center, it can get busy at times. However, the Dutch Bros team really knows how to hustle and keep their customers happy. The workers will come up to your car and take your order. No paper or pen needed, just their incredible memory. And they get it right each time. While waiting, the workers never fail to ask how my day is going. The best part - It never feels scripted or forced. The coffee sizes are insanely generous. The small is equivalent to a medium sized MCD coffee. The medium is equal to the Venti at Starbucks. They recently introduced the large, which is almost like the big gulp at 7-11! The coffee styles they have are iced, blended or hot. My favorite coffee drink is the double torture blended. It is not too sweet or strong and the blended option is like a mini dessert for me. A few weeks ago, I decided to venture away from my coffee fix and try one of their fruit smoothies. It has changed my Dutch Bros game. I love and recommend to try the mango smoothie! The drink has the right amount of sweetness and tastes like real mango pieces are added. Kid friendly indeed! Their coffee drinks are unique - some have coconut flavoring. I say, throw in a shot of rum and you'd have yourself an awesome cocktail with a caffeine kick. (No, I'm not a lush.) To really get a true taste of the coffee though, I ordered an Americano ($1.75). True to the peppy worker guy's word, the blend is smooth - not distinctively South American like Peet's house blend, just smoooooth. I liked it. Okay, so they have a coupla tables outside, but why would you sit outside and smell the wonderful aroma of car exhaust? There are two lanes - one coming and one going - to service the line of cars. Ambiance this place has not (in Yodaspeak). Also, I know it is JUST a drive through, but with the permanent seating area outside, it seems fitting that there should be a courtesy restroom for the traveling customer.
