The food here is phenomenal! So many creative dishes using fresh vegetables. I had the crispy potato bowl with tofu and everything was cooked perfectly - Tofu, potatoes, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, brussel sprouts, asparagus, white beans, peppers, onion, garlic seasoned with Provençal herbs. Our server was great and the food came out quickly. Such a cute, quaint restaurant! Thank you for the delicious vegan and vegetarian options.

Such a cute place. We sat outside and had Mimosas and shared a yummy dish of Calabacita, eggs, and potato's Something to keep in mind when a fish is shared they charge an extra 5.00. We had plenty of food. Service was great. Will go back and try something different.

The cutest spot in Payson! This home turned restaurant on historic Main Street has unique food offerings. I loved the open menu so that I could order breakfast for lunch (is there anything better?). Each dish in the breakfast menu is unique and interesting. We ordered the biscuit that comes with three different meats and the chicken and waffles - both were great! We also ordered slices of the lemon mascarpone cake and the carrot cake to-go and boy was that the best decision. The cakes were moist and flavorful - loved them! Service was fast and friendly and their bathroom is hilariously decorated with Boston terrier artwork. The cutest!

Duza's Kitchen is a wonderful experience. It is my favorite restaurant in Payson by far. The ambience is so eclectic and fun and the food is the best! My hubby and I both had omelette's and we asked that they be cooked in butter not oil and the Chef/Owner was happy to do that. It was the best omelette I've had in years. All the food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. They also serve excellent coffee and espresso. The staff were the best and knew the unique menu well and could make recommendations. This is my new favorite restaurant in this region. Would love to go back for dinner some time when I'm in the area.

2nd time eating at Duza and now this will be our go to pit stop before heading to Heber. All the dishes we have had so far are full of delicious fresh flavors. I don't remember the names to the dishes but the mushrooms crepe you have to try my plate was like I licked it clean no trace of the crepe dish left at end.

We found this place on our first trip to Payson today because we were looking for someplace that was dog friendly and we were with our dog. It turned out to be some of the best food we've eaten anywhere in Arizona or California for that matter. We just moved to Arizona from California and I've been very disappointed in Arizona's culinary scene. The chef and owner here is from Bosnia and cooks with finesse. We plan to make another trip to Payson soon just to go back there. What is better than a serious dog friendly restaurant in a small town? Props as well to the servers and Victoria, the co-owner wife of the chef (I don't know how to spell his name so I won't try). read more

Food was very delicious but our server not so good. Didn't have manners and was a little rude. Some of our plates were chipped and water glasses looked a little dirty. But the restaurant was cute and cozy. Overall I wish I could of left a nice review but some things didn't meet our expectations. read more

This is cute restaurant with delicious food. We ordered the special, spicy beef Wellington, and the Calabracitas breakfast. Both dishes were unique and so good! Of course we had to get a dessert! A real Jem in Payson! Very quaint with a middle eastern vibe. The Servers are very efficient and friendly with suggestions on menu offerings. It can be crowded during peak breakfast and dinner times but the food is marvelous and well worth the wait to be seated. I always enjoy the classic English breakfast, but the breakfast Hash(Hmmm!) is to die for. Duza's is our go-to place for guests in town. You won't be disappointed. As a 'Local,' I get tired of the Dinner quality breakfasts in town, and Duza's offers comfortable relief. read more

All the food was amazing. Every member of my family (from kids to grandparents) loved their dinner. I came here twice in a few days just to get the pasta. I would eat it every day if I could. So flavorful and truly the best pasta I have had. My kids loved the pizza and sea bass. My mom loved the ravioli. Escargot was even wonderful. The staff was very kind. I feel compelled to leave a review. It's a very charming shack like place. I got seated on the patio after a 10-15 minute wait. The hostess and staff were very pleasant. I had the steak chorizo pepitos and boy was it delicious. It came with a little bit of avocado and sour cream on ciabatta toast. It was a lot of meat so I ate only half and had the rest to go. I ordered a side of fingerling potatoes and breakfast sausages to go with the rest of the meat and it was oh so AMAZING!!! read more

Yet another amazing breakfast at Duza's this morning . I had the Shakshuka and my husband had the English Breakfast this time. OMG. The food.....the service... fabulous!!! Consistently fabulous! A must stop each time we go thru Payson. Every order is made to order, so be patient. It's so worth the wait!!! We will be back! Oh and their cappuccino is better than Starbucks! This is my expert opinion from this self proclaimed coffee snob! read more

Oh my! This was horrible. Hot. Flies. (Yes, about fifteen flies buzzing to get out of a window that was painted shut) Noisy fans. My partner and I have been meaning to try Duza's for a while now and finally stopped by with out-of-town guests on Sunday. We were blown away! Our waiter Brandon was excellent and took great care of us. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. The 4 of us all got different dishes and everything was absolutely fantastic. French toast came with a scraping of mascarpone. Ate half, tasted stale and the fruit didn't seem fresh. Was given a $3.70 discount and told it's because the fruit doesn't have any sugar on it. read more

We gave them another chance, but they failed miserably, few of us went in for Brunch, the Owner/Chef and his wife maitre d' were running the show, 45 minutes after ordering the food arrived, one of the dishes was cold, called the waiters, who punted to the wife, who came over and asked what's wrong in a dry & sorely manner, when/she was told she took the plate to the kitchen, upon which the chef proceeded to nuke the dish in the microwave and send it back to us with wilted vegetable and trusted eggs when we refused to accept the dish, the chef came, plate in hand, and in most condescendingly and rude manner when was told, he just turned on his heels, plate in hand sulking, and the two of them just huffed and puffed for the duration of our stay. We were 6 regular customers they lost, that will never never be going back. read more

I had an awful experience at Duzas kitchen recently. The management was incredibly rude and unhelpful, and the staff seemed unable to accommodate our needs despite the ample space in the restaurant. I would strongly suggest avoiding this restaurant at all costs due to the terrible customer service. Also, the white staff made me feel as if I were intruding on them by coming to their restaurant and wanting to spend my harder money on their food And this is happened three times already strike three you guys are out. read more

You won't believe this food is in Payson. All fresh and delicious- something for everyone on the menu. And the chef/owner always available and very nice. Usually get takeout lunch for my parents and bonus pastries for them to have after I leave. It's all delicious!! read more

What a pleasant surprise after finding Duza's on Yelp with a 5 star rating. Now we know why, my husband and I just ate dinner there and it was delicious. I had the house special clam bake with an amazing broth and full of yummy seafood along with the clams. There was a full lobster tail, along with shrimp and of course the trimmings of potatoes, corn, sausage etc. My husband had a delicious chicken and cheese ravioli equally delicious. On top of all the great food, the service was impeccable...the entire staff was so sincerely friendly and attentive. We ate too much, but wanted to try some of their homemade tiramisu and pastries so we took some to go! You definitely want to give them a try, you will not be disappointed. I know we'll be back! Unfortunately, I had to update my review from 5 stars to 4, because I do take these reviews seriously. I still stand by my 5 star rating on the meal, but I'm a dessert foodie too...and the tiramisu was not only over priced for the small slice we got, but it was nothing to write home about. In fact if you love tiramisu I wouldn't even recommend it. The 2 bear claws we bought for the next morning were just ok. There are times we like to go out for dessert alone, and while we will still come back for another meal, we'll probably skip dessert. read more

Grandma's decor, haute cuisine combinations, and big city prices. My only recommendation to the owners is to get rid of the split charge. My wife and I like to share entrees but the split charge is a disincentive to eat here. read more

Not only is the presentation great, the food is amazing! Came in for a late breakfast after wanting to try Duza's for a while. Both dishes were awesome and we cleared our plates. Customer service was on point, our waiter was super helpful in giving opinions on some of the food options. Will definitely be heading back soon! Took a day trip to Payson from Chandler. We LITERALLY happened upon this place, luckily so, while driving down main st. We googled it and found fantastic reviews so stayed in town a bit longer than we planned until they opened for dinner. SOOOO glad we did. Small, quaint, intimate PHENOMENAL food and service. I love this restaurant however the last time I was here my food had mushrooms that tasted moldy it was gross. And I love mushrooms. I might try again but expensive especially when the mushrooms weren't good. read more

We stopped for breakfast and was taken back with this charming little place. The food looked good, as they say "we eat with our eyes first". The only reason for my 4 stars is because of the service. Some of the employees seemed annoyed to be there and help us. While I understand that the restaurant was busy, you should still maintain composure and try to remain calm under stress. Having worked at a restaurant, I understand the feeling, but you can't let it get to you. Other than that, great little restaurant. I'd come here again.

I recently visited this restaurant for breakfast with my girlfriend, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The staff we encountered were very curt for no reason but we decided to stay. I ordered the four-egg omelette with portabella mushrooms, bacon, and sausage. What was served resembled more of an egg wrap, lacking flavor and depth. The mushrooms were clearly canned rather than fresh, the sausage appeared to be small crumbles from a patty, and the bacon consisted of a few pieces clumped together. My girlfriend ordered the "French Toast," which bore little resemblance to the dish's traditional preparation. It was presented more like a layered cake--overly sweet, dry, and served without sufficient syrup. Overall, the quality and preparation of the food did not meet expectations. This was our first visit and, regrettably, it will also be our last. Diners should be mindful to ask about how items are prepared before ordering. read more

What a gem this place is! I was in Payson checking out some Antique shops and while driving down a random street looking for a place to eat I found Duza's. I could see plenty of cars in the parking lot and people sitting at tables outside, I figured I would give it a shot. The inside of the restaurant is very clean, and a little unique with the decorations, it has a very nice welcoming feel to it. The waitress came and proceeded to show me a sample of the special of the day on a serving tray! This was a nice touch as it gave me an idea of what the portion sizes are here. I ordered the Avocado on Rye Toast. What came next I was not expecting at all. The plate of food was creatively arranged. I actually hated to destroy it with my knife and fork because it looked very well prepared, like art. I was not disappointed on the quality of the food either. Definitely on my list to come back. I just left Duza Kitchen and I already know I'm coming back tomorrow. It is the hidden gem in Payson. The people that are here are so catering to you, there was never a time when we felt we weren't being attended to.. The absolute best part, besides the staff, is the amazing food. I have never been speechless describing food, but right now I'm absolutely speechless.. Well prepared, awesome presentation, and the taste is out of this world. Duza Kitchen is a must! What a joke of a place. If you like illegal and unfair labor practices, pretentious people who think they are above you, or stuffy overpriced places, then this is the joint for you. If you or anyone you know has ever worked in the service industry, then do yourself a favor and avoid this place. They don't pay workman's compensation, they don't pay into social security, and they consider employees as independent contractors. Also, can you say farmed fish?
