Pedal Captain Andrew and safety guide Alex really took care of us and Andrew was an amazing hype man! We had a blast! The inital fee is just for the transportation and awesome entertainment going around the city. But being a part of the Pedal Party you get great discounts at the bars you stop at, including the Blue Moon that you start at. They ask that you arrive 30mins early but if you complete your waiver online you can get there around 5-10mins ahead. But come early if you're keen on having a few pints at Blue Moon with the discounted rate before your Pedal and chat with your new crew. You won't be going back to your starting point but you'll end up a bar where you can take your time and enjoy good company. This was a great way to meet new people and check out bars I'd normally wouldn't step into unless I happened to be in the area Googling. I highly recommend this for any occasion! Pedal safe, party hard! TIP: Helmet is optional but you'll HAVE to wear it the whole time if you ask for one. Bring some cash to tip the crew! But you can also scan a QR code to pay them online.

It seemed way too busy for just one server, but he handled everything amazingly. He checked in on us constantly, stayed super friendly throughout, and even gave us complimentary cheesecakes for the wait, which was such a thoughtful touch. He was truly the best part of the experience. Food was good as usual, but Derrick's service is what really stood out!

The rooftop terrace is genuinely its strongest asset: well-appointed, visually striking, and the sort of space that photographs beautifully on a warm Toronto evening. The interiors throughout are polished and considered, and the brand clearly understands that real estate and aesthetics are half the battle in this city. The food, regrettably, does not clear the other half. What arrives on the plate is competent at best and forgettable by morning. The menu delivers with the timidity of a kitchen that knows its clientele is not here primarily to eat. The truffle parmesan fries and katsu salads circulating across tables confirm that this is comfort-forward crowd-pleasing, not cooking with conviction. The service dynamic is perhaps the most telling feature of the experience. The floor staff carry themselves with a performative cool that functions more as personal branding than hospitality. One senses that working at JOEY registers on certain resumes as a social credential, and the interaction with guests reflects this accordingly. Charm is not absent, but attentiveness is intermittent at best. JOEY Don Mills is not a restaurant one chooses for the food. It is a venue one defaults to because the patio exists, because a colleague suggested it, or because it reliably services a demographic that prizes being seen over being satisfied. For that narrow and specific purpose, it delivers. For anyone who regards dinner as an event worthy of genuine culinary engagement, it falls considerably short. This is a place built for people in their twenties who confuse a well-lit room with a good meal, and for the adult diner who finds themselves surrounded by staff hired more for their looks than their craft, the experience carries a faint but unmistakable air of the grotesque.
