In addition to replacing the main valve, Tai also replaced the main water pressure regulator to help maintain the water pressure below 60 PSI instead of the previous 100 PSI. While they were cleaning up, I proceeded to find a plumber on Yelp to help us with this emergency. Several of the responses I received couldn't help us until Monday, but Montana's Plumbing said they could send someone to us in 30 minutes. They also were responsive immediately and answered my questions quickly. True to their word, Cris (the owner and lead plumber) showed up to our door in under 30 minutes. He was very friendly and professional, asking if he could enter our home, putting on plastic protectors on his shoes. After evaluating the situation, he explained to me and my wife that he needed to replace our cold water shut-off valve connected to our cold water line. He gave us a quote on what the cost would be. We shared with him what our budget was and we were so happy that Cris was willing to work with us on our budget to get the work done. It was amazing that Cris had all the materials he needed to get the job done, as he put me and wife at ease and proceeded to do the repairs. After he finished, he showed us the corroded copper piece (which was behind the wall that we gave him approval to cut into) and the new copper pipe that he was replacing. We really appreciate Cris taking the time to explain to us the work he was doing. He said that he wants his customers to see the repairs that are being done so that they can learn.
