Talk about a kid in a candy store! This is conveniently located right in the town center of East Hampton, so as a group of us was walking around, I saw the awning out front and was like "guys we have to go in!!" I love all the bright colors, nostalgic energy, and stocked shelves of candies, fun gift ideas, and cool graphic tees! I bought a vintage bazooka bubblegum x baseball collab tshirt which is fun. There was 1 staff member working and they were so nice. He gave us samples of a some type of sucker that eventually fizzes and pops in your mouth once you hit the middle of the candy (imagine a Pop Rocks sensation but it comes when you're not expecting it). Prices are on more expensive side but what're you gonna do. :) So glad we popped in! read more

I used to love Dylan's, but lately the scoops just keep getting smaller. I'm not sure if it's just one person giving small scoops or if they told all their employees to do so, but I barely got half of the normal amount given. I no longer go and it's a shame too because I love their ice cream but will not pay $10 dollars for that. read more

This review is a long time coming. I stopped at Dylan's Candy Bar when passing through East Hampton in September. Was looking for some novelty candy for my spouse, which of course they had plenty of! I loved their selection of Dylan's candy bars, which included options of potato chip, bacon bits, and another which I think was to the effect of maple waffle. The takeout containers were iridescent and unique. I loved their selection of gummy candies, especially the gummy pink lemonade straws and the crunchy gummy bears! The BEST part of my experience at Dylan' Candy Bar that day was the two associates working there. Langston and Ali seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs, and were very attentive to my needs and questions. They made my experience shopping for candy fun, and they were very knowledgeable! Expensive? Yes. Super fun and a great selection that made it totally worth the price? Absolutely! Will be back when in the area! read more

Proof positive it's all who you know; can't wrap brain around someone with as much wealth, resources, & notoriety as Dylan Lauren can desecrate a simple concept like a candy store. CONSTRUCT: Any small town mom & pop candy store, grocery store candy isle, movie theater concession stand. ANSWER: All places that have more impressive candy selections. Blue plastic beach buckets filled with 'Easter grass' line floor with 1 or 2 standard-sized boxes of Good N Plenty. Clear plastic bins of colored licorice on wall, many of which are empty. An end cap of 'trademark' Dylan's Chocolate bars with list of ingredients akin to what's in Dollar Store candy. C'mon! I saw small children looking disappointed. Where are the Japanese Kit-Kat's? The nostalgia brands like Pink Cadillacs gummies? Or how about some boutique brand chocolates? If you feel need to line store with Hershey's & MARRS products (boring) how about some harder to find sizes or varieties? If you're gonna take up prime real estate in the Hamptons shouldn't there be some exclusivity in what you offer? Can't comment on prices because didn't find anything I wished to buy. Lolli & Pops, Hershey's Chocolate World, M&M Factory Store, Louisa's in Cape May, Fran's in Seattle, Red's in Virginia City, NV...all do this better. read more

This company is really losing the magic. Been coming out this way for years, went there today and the prices are outrageous. $8 ice creams $14 shakes, and some really cheap packaged candy at crazy prices. $3 individual York patties? The attached photo has an item that was $18. It's a chocolate bar and small bag of candy in a paper bag... I get it's the Hamptons but it's boarder line offensive. Same shelf had a coffee mug for $35??? Product had "20 year anniversary" tags but the company broke ground in 2001, so is it from last year or something? Do your self a favor and go to Ala mode around the corner or MooMoo's if you're looking for ice cream. None of the product here is unique enough to justify the prices. read more

Milkshakes are overpriced and they couldn't even fill mine to the top! There are 9.50 milkshakes and 12.00 milkshakes. My brother ordered the 9.50 one and received a larger cup than I did when I ordered the 12.00 one. And even then the incompetent worker couldn't fill it to the top. Besides the candy bars (chocolate bars) and maybe the ice cream pretty much everything else is available at just about any other place such as the Jelly Belly, Pez, bulk candy etc. This still is a cute store and while it will appeal to children it can be fun and nostalgic for adults that know sugar isn't good for you but know it's just a treat. The Dylan's candy bars are 3.25 each and it makes me wonder if they are worth it. While I've had several of the candy bars before I am looking forward to opening up the ones I just bought recently. This store is really just for fun and fancy and not for nutrition so sure, live a little and indulge yourself. If I had to really think about it this is the 4th "Lauren" business within 100 yards of one another along this tiny stretch of Main street in East Hampton. read more

Rude. Brought my kids in for some ice cream after being stuck in the house all day due to the potential hurricane that ended up being a tropical storm. I walked in and the guy working there told me he wasn't serving ice cream today and when I asked him why he very rudely Informed me that if he opens his freezer and the power went out he wouldn't have ice cream for the rest of the season. In the meantime the sun is shining and the store is open and we didn't lose power when the tropical storm is here so not gonna lose it when the storm is over. As I was leaving, he informed me and my kids that his is the only store that's open in town which is also not true. Not serving the ice cream is not the problem, it was the way this guy spoke to me in front of my very disappointed kids for no reason at all. A fun place to stop in when your sweet tooth is calling out to you lol There are aisles of candy, making me remember being a kid. Its one of the few places I can find "warheads", the really sour candies. They also have chocolate bars and fudge. The bars are pricey. The fudge is really good! They also have small candy bars with names on the wrappers, so if you want to let someone know you were thinking of them, you can get them a mini chocolate bar with their name on it. read more

Cute! I was like a kid in a candy store. Waitaminit - I was! Tons of sour candies and other sweets by weight. This is Ralph Lauren's daughter's store, I was told. I got the Desserts=Stressed spelled backwards T-shirt as a souvenir. Very colorful shop next to theater, I love it. Can't wait to take my baby here when he's older and watch his eyes grow as he drools over all the candies. read more

I did expect more from this candy shop. I know it couldn't be as awesome as the one in NYC but its still in the Hamptons. Store is very very small. It does have a lot of candy choices tho and some cute Souvenirs. read more

Where do I start ..... the ice cream is awful tasted like it's been here for a while .. it tasted like a 4 months old ice cream ... and they are very pricey I spent $17 on nothing ......like I had a small ice cream cup 2 scoops to be exact (small ass scoops) 3 pretzel cover yogurt and 3 pieces of chocolate pretzel like literally 17 bucks .. if you got it like that then go ahead n spend your money there .. they will definitely not get mine .. not anymore .. Your only real choice for a candy store in East Hampton, but way over priced and the quality of their chocolates is mediocre at best. Too many times, I've given them a second chance only to half finish what I bought thinking that this chocolate is so bad and definitely not worth the calories. Buy a Hershey bar instead! read more

If you want to pay a lot of money for mediocre candy, go for it. Nothing at Dylan's is unique and I don't believe any of it is homemade. But that's expected. The one positive is that it's down the street from the movies and still cheaper than most movie theater candy. Don't bother if you want a good dessert or treat. read more
