I'd give negative stars if I could. Gerald either has an enormous lack of knowledge about carpet cleaning, rushed through the job or both. We paid him $520 for a minor carpet repair and to clean two bedrooms. At first, they looked great but then we quickly discovered after he left that the carpets were soaking wet, due to him overwetting both carpets. The main stain we hired him for reappeared in a matter of hours. He also broke a picture frame that we had hanging in the house. Never apologized for that, never admitted that he did it and never offered us any compensation. (Funny enough, he didn't make me sign any liability form....) When I asked him kindly to return and help us sufficiently dry the carpets, he kept telling us that it was normal and that he wouldn't be able to dry them any more than they already were (which they were not). He kept telling us to give it 24 hours until they were completely dry. He frequently refused our phone calls (early evening) or flat out turned his phone off when he said we could call him at any time. He ultimately begrudgingly agreed to return to help dry them but only two days after he originally came (about ~48 hours) since he had another job lined up the next day. That put us at mold territory galore since the carpet was not in fact at all drier in 24 hours. We had to beg him to come out the next day at which point, of course the carpets were still wet. When he did come out, he told us we were wrong about the carpets having to be left dry (he said they'd be left damp...our carpets were far from damp in that they were soaking wet) and refused to honor his satisfaction guarantee on the website. He told us he wouldn't able to dry our carpets with his equipment. When I asked for our money back, he demanded to speak to my husband hoping that he would get a different answer from him. Nope. This guy overcharges, has no clue about customer service and really doesn't know his stuff about carpets either. You're way better off hiring someone else who has a ton of frequent great Yelp reviews. There's likely a reason he only has one review every ~6 months. You'll be grateful that you stayed away. read more

He was in and out of my 2br/2bd condo in mostly a day. I appreciated that he took the time to explain to me what he did to the carpet, all the different types of cleaning performed, and what I can expect to happen as the carpet dries as it's a little moist post-cleaning. You guys, Gerald really transformed our carpet! I regret not taking more before and after photos. The are of carpet in the "zone of terror" between the kitchen and the dining room (which was like what, 5 steps given the size of the condo lol) was SO flat but he perked the carpet right up! Before getting cleaned, there were areas of the carpet that were so flat, you'd find yourself dangerously slipping cause it was so smooth hahaha. But again, Gerald refreshed the carpet so darn nicely! When I knelt down to pet the carpet, it was like petting a fluffy puppy! Albeit a slightly moist one, lol. Hopefully the Before/After photos help you make your decision! (After being won over by the act of carpet cleaning itself, I'm currently trying to persuade my parents to get their 30+ year old carpet cleaned by Dynamic Carpet Cleaning. This review is long overdue, but Gerald came over to machine-stretch my carpets last year and did an amazing job! He removed all the folds from our original shoddy installation (from the previous homeowner), even though some portions of our carpet were oddly angled due to the layout of our walls and staircase. I was also amazed that he was able to move all our heavy furniture around himself. Pricing was very reasonable for the quality, and he even stretched the carpet on a few steps in our staircase for free because it would have bothered him to leave those folds in. Gerald came by in early March to tackle the terrible carpet stains a tenant left behind after moving out. While the carpets were filthy everywhere, the worst of it was concentrated at the entry and the bedroom. I didn't think the carpet could be salvaged but it was worth at least worth it let an expert try. He brought his hoses that were connected to his equipment up the stairs. He was thoughtful to place cones in the stairwell so that anyone coming by would be aware not to step or trip over them. He started spraying treatment on the stains and I left him to his work which took a few hours. I could hear his cleaning machine going over every inch of the apartment. Then he performed his restorative process which, from the sounds of it, was involved. When he was done, he asked me to review the work. I was speechless at how restored the carpet appeared. Even the carpet fibers were groomed to perfection. There was no cleaning product smell at all, which is always a worry with some carpet cleaning services. if you had never seen the carpet beforehand, you'd think this was freshly installed. The carpets were restored to near-brand-new condition. His 3-stage deep cleaning process works wonders to remove dog funk. After the carpets dried for a few days and the condo was aired out, it was like my dogs had never been in the condo! I got my entire security deposit back! I wish I could give 6 stars, frankly. First, let me begin by reminding folks what it's like with vendors and contractors often times - empty promises, lack of punctuality, lack of caring. With Gerald, I think I have had one of the most painless, positive experiences EVER, during one of the most stressful couple of weeks of my life. He is punctual. He is unbelievably kind and respectful. He takes an OBSCENE level of pride in his work. He does something OTHERS DO NOT. I had a DECADE of high traffic soil on white carpet that three chemical and steam cleaners couldn't remove. I had a two year old yellow stain from a dog with a sick stomach. I had an area rug over it. I had given up. When I needed to prep my home for sale, I thought I would try ONE LAST TIME, and I found DYNAMIC. Gerald has a unique three-tiered system - I've never seen anything like it. By the time he was done, my real estate agent said the carpets looked brand new. Those carpets helped sell my home. Period. I was able to remove the area rug and show off the carpet in a way I hadn't done in years and years - and I had just had the carpets done a YEAR ago...but they did NOT look like this, of that I can assure you. You are doing yourself and your home a disservice if you don't work with Dynamic. I referred him to my agent within 24 hours, and look forward to hiring his company again when we need it.
