The hot and sour soup is perfect. One of the best I've had. It's got lots of mushrooms, some bamboo shoots, and some tofo (btw, I asked for extra mushrooms and only a little bamboo and a little tofo). Ooling tea is served complimentary. The soup and hot oolong tea were the perfect combination for a snowy (and cold) day visit to Big Bear. The chow mein and Mongolian beef were good, too. The portion sizes were fair for the price. A great surprise on the mountain! Big portions and quality meat in both entrees. Bbq pork lo mein was tasty and great the next day. Pork fried wontons with sweet n sour totally crave worthy. Teriyaki chicken with steamed veggies was plentiful and nice pieces of well trimmed chicken- sauce a bit bland but still good. Salt n pepper wings were a bit underseasoned and did not have the traditional green onion garlic garnish I'm used to. Delivery was fast and friendly. A splurge price wise but definitely fed us twice. read more

This place is obviously popular based on how busy they were in the kitchen! Lots of calls coming in for pick up, and we were the only ones seated in the dining area. There were a few people upfront at the sushi bar / counter. Beside being obviously busy that evening, we were served quickly and everything was delicious! My boyfriend loved that they had All You Can Eat because a lot of places are discontinuing that ability! However when it came time to pay, it took a long loooong time to get someone at the register and off the phones. I get that they're busy but we almost just put cash down and left! We waited probably 15 mins standing with our check! All the same, we will be back for more, just maybe when it isn't so poppin! read more

The food was amazing! The pictures are from after our family of four dug in! We also ordered a thing of wontons(not pictured because we ate them) which were delicious! We ordered over the phone and picked up our food! I only waited about three minutes once I got there. I would never eat inside though, it was very old and I would describe everything as "faded." The girl was great except they originally only gave us three fortune cookies and two soy sauce packets so just make sure to ask for more! Our order: Orange Peel Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Combo Chow Mein, Wontons. Our total was $70 so that was a little painful. read more

Read the Hype on line and was very disappointed. Paid 65.00 for two sub par average meals with little taste and a glass of wine. We've gotten food here twice now! For being the only Chinese food you can get up the mountain, it's actually quite good! We enjoyed everything we ordered. The beef noodle soup was very flavorful. My husband asked for extra spicy and they don't play around when you ask for spice! Good thing he loves it burning lol. Beef chow fun and veggie dishes were great! Just as good as any Chinese food down the mountain. Feels like my moms home cooking. Although not pictured, we've also ordered their Peking duck in the past. Delish! Duck was juicy and tender. Skin was crispy. Came with fluffy buns, sauce and greens. Loved it and for a fair price compared to anything down the mountain. It's one of those restaurants that you go to when you're craving Asian food and it's the only other Asian restaurant in town. They did a good job with the spice and flavor but our food strangely came out cold. It was done fast but cold. The Pinot Grigio wine was not that good, so luckily we brought our own bottle just in case, however the corkage fee was $20. The hot and sour soup was decent. The pork fried rice was good but extra sticky. The General Tso chicken was over cooked and dried out with a watered down sauce. We popped in on an early Tuesday afternoon to a smoke-filled, extremely cold restaurant that had absolutely no other customers. It was about 40 degrees outside that day and the young lady sat us at a table next to an open window (presumably due to all the smoke). I asked her if there's a warmer spot. No, there wasn't (in an empty restaurant)......she closed the window. Don't get me wrong, she was a very sweet young lady with a lovely smile and a good server, it's just the whole place was cold. Not her fault. We wanted to order off the "Monday through Friday" lunch special menu, which most Chinese restaurants offer. I ordered the Kung Pao Shrimp, husband ordered Curry Chicken. Both came with brown rice, egg roll and a wonton thing, starting with egg flower soup. To drink with lunch we ordered the hot pot of Chinese tea. The tea was very good as was the soup. I personally did not care for the egg roll or wonton, rice was fine, entree was good not great. Husband said his entree was too greasy. Restaurant was probably very cute at one time. It seemed dusty, unkept and tired. The employees (presumably family members) all sat around at the bar and did nothing. I got up to cross the restaurant to fetch myself some Sriracha from a bus station. Typical fortune cookies with the check. I have never in my life been charged for hot Chinese tea in a restaurant, it was $3.50 and marked as "Bar" on the check. Strange. Why was an empty restaurant filled with smoke without any customers to cook for? Why was everything so dusty and dirty when so many people were "working"? (Time to lean? Time to CLEAN). I'm glad we tried it, it's the only Chinese place in town and we are locals. Now I know. I'll make Chinese food at home next time. Good luck Dynasty. read more

We order cheese wontons that were very tasty, but our main entrees (orange chicken and schezwan chicken) weren't great. The hot was very tasty though. Impressive for Big Bear! I was wrong to wait so long to try this place in person. I've ordered takeout as an emergency before and it was just ok, but I had no idea the menu was so extensive and diverse! Please be patient when you order/dine-in, as they are currently very short-staffed and trying hard to find good help. Also if you don't already know, there's a hilarious TikTok that claims the best Chinese restaurants have 3.5 stars exactly and looky-loo, hahaha! Too true here! First, there are all the old-fashioned American-Chinese staples like mushu pork, General Tso's chicken, orange beef, beef with broccoli, chow mein, etc. BUT! then there is the wonderful world of authentic treasures like the cucumbers with black vinegar and lamb hotpot! I can't wait to go back in 2 weeks and try as many more dishes as I can! I saw lots of tripe and seafood on the menu too, which was unexpected! They have enough variety to suit absolutely anyone! My 13yo skinny picky eater ate an entire order of sweet and sour pork! And that was AFTER he devoured half the platter of cucumber in the pic below. That alone is reason enough for me to go back. Not only did my Americanized-kid enjoy his dinner, I didn't have to settle for banal food or compromise at all! I was able to enjoy a giant specialty lamb hotpot chock full of sliced lamb, water chestnuts, bamboo, bokchoy, shiitake mushrooms, cabbage and bell peppers. I almost wanted to hug the clay pot with its orange floral design- it was a total throwback to the 70's. The clay pot was so huge that I filled my little bowl 6 times and still had enough left over to take 2 liter containers home. I was able to have it the next day with fresh noodles for lunch. They also had chili-oil available on request! (I secretly brought along a jar of chili oil, stashed in my purse, just in case, because lets face it, we are in Big Bear). Needless to say there was nothing left of the cucumbers and pork to take home. This is my new go-to! I will NEVER, EVER eat anything at the overpriced c--p-shacks on Snow Summit ever again! I order food for pick up and just walk in there to pick up my food and I saw one foam to go box and my egg roll was in open popcorn bag and rice was in the to go container and all was in cardboard box !! What's a temperature here ,,,,cold .... I told them can you please put it in plastic bag to not get cold !!! Probably they don't know about food pick up ! Please be more professional for customer wants to pick up specially in big bear ! Quality of food ! Sooooo sooooo bad ! I order Mongolian beef but I think they forgot to put beef on it ! Went in to this establishment during a family outing and the water in both of the restaurants DID NOT WORK. No running water from the sinks or flushing ability of the toilets. This was a tasty Chinese restaurant. It was an easy call in ordering process and the staff were kind. The inside was a bit lonely but they seemed to be on the phone frequently with call in orders. The parking lot is small so that may deter people from eating inside. We ordered a handful of items and I think my favorite was the lamb dish we got. If you like cumin, you won't like it hut that was almost the surprising enjoyable part of it.
