The girls were full after that, but I wanted to try the beet salad. Have to say, one of the best I've ever had. Beets, arugula, goat cheese, walnuts (I think) and Orange slices with a tasty vinaigrette. Although the girls were 'full', they saw that and had to try it. Nothing left in that bowl as well. She responded that it no longer comes with pasta and that I could order some at an additional charge. It was at that moment that I knew I would never return again. Never in my entire life have I ever ordered Chicken Parm at an Italian Restaurant and not have it come with pasta. That is like ordering a hamburger and it doesn't come with a bun. Then they tell you that you are more than welcome to order a bun at an additional cost. It was like the ultimate slap in the face. I understand that businesses are under financial pressure in these tough times. I can assure you though that this restaurant does not suffer from this fate. There is simply zero excuse for this type of behavior from ownership. Their meals are already priced near the top of the market here in Scottsdale, and rightfully so as their food is top tier. But to raise prices and then remove a staple item off of the menu is asinine. Again, I really do not like writing negative reviews for businesses because I am a fellow business owner as well. However the consumer in me cannot stand for this type of treachery. I am sick and tired of paying more and getting less. This is not meant to deter others from experiencing this place. It is meant to let management that loyal customers are dissatisfied with their business practices. Finally, I am not a cheapskate either. I always tip at least 30% which is way above the average.
