Stopped here after my partner found it randomly on Google - l wasn't too keen at first to stop here (just because it didn't look all that great from the outside) but I'm glad we did. This used to be one of our favorite brunch places. Sadly not anymore!! We were seated and it took at least 10 minutes to get water. We felt ignored by our waitress. She finally came and took our order. My husband got his usual the breakfast enchiladas. The enchilada tortillas were way overcooked. They were cigar brown. Same with the breakfast chimichangas I had. The tortillas were burnt. There was barely any filling in them. A little bit of meat a few beans. Pretty much inedible. We also got the doughnut special and it too was over fried. The food quality has declined. We ordered our breakfast entrees and two of the were to come with an egg over medium (jammy yolk). When our food came out one of the entrees eggs was sunny side up. We asked our waitress if she would please ask for a new egg cooked correctly over medium. When she brought the new eggs out, she commented that the yolk is supposed to be somewhat runny. Saw this place on Check Please Arizona with Chef Tarbell. Breakfast Enchiladas very tasty. A must have is the donut of the day-sort of like a fresh Kristy Kreme with toppings. Delicious. I asked about espresso and was told there is none. Ground only. I asked what kind of coffee grounds. A little confused but they said their coffee is a higher level Sysco brand. They made it sound like an upgraded grounds. But for $3 bottomless- I should had known better. I could not drink it after one sip. A head pass. I would have rayed higher if good coffee. As for the caramel pecan sticky buns- they seemed to taste a little like Bisquick recipe sheet cut into six small rectangles. Skip that next time and stick with the donuts. 5 stars and I will be telling all my friends about this place! I can't wait to try everything off the menu. Chicken and waffles was the best I've ever had and my picky father agreed. He described the waffle like the texture of a perfectly crisped pancake. There was amazing flavor in the chicken and was perfect with the syrup. Chorizo Scramble like many restaurants are typically made with liquid egg so I substitute for real shell eggs. The chorizo was perfectly seasoned and was a pretty good size dish. I ordered with the medley potatoes- I would recommend the russet potatoes to go along with the scramble as the medley potatoes include sweet potatoes and can throw off the flavor of the overall dish. The service was beyond and beyond, the waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and items. She was kind and allowed us to sit outside. Brunch is fantastic! The menu is awesome, the coffee and cocktails are awesome! Brunch feels very warm and inviting. The patio is cozy and pet friendly so on our first visit we brought our dog after hiking in Spur Cross. I had the Smoked Salmon Benedict and my daughter had the Blueberry Lemon Pancakes, Yum! The portions are large! I had a Mexican coffee and she had a cream soda. Our server was great. The second time we sat inside. It's a little loud, but that's bc it was busy and there was still such a friendly vibe. This time I ordered the smoked salmon salad, it reminded me of the old chopped salad from cowboy ciao, delicious. I have been here now about four times. We decided to go there a day early for Mother's Day and this restaurant has obviously become much more popular than even in the past. Of course, we had to have their gourmet donut of the day which was a blueberry, lemon doughnut, and everyone loved it I had the breakfast enchiladas, which were fabulous. We had a host of different things and the pictures are attached but all in everyone enjoyed their meal and we had enough to bring home and have a second meal. Cave Creek has another winner in Brunch! Their own tag line, Kitchen and Cocktails, totally describes this interesting and most worthy experience. These folks offer a comprehensive Southwest themed upscale breakfast/brunch menu and a full specialty wine/cocktail bar. Some days you just NEED bourbon for breakfast. Seriously, the place isn't fancy, but the food and drinks are. Just looking for nothing special bacon and eggs? Just drop to the ala carte listing. My plain pancakes and sausage were simplicity done right. Very right!! My friend, an older Tennessee gentleman, who has spent his life looking for the perfect country biscuit, ate his and ordered another to go. That's a serious compliment. Fair warning, portions can be generous to a fault! Yikes!!! The little things like grape jelly for the biscuits being a small personal jar of imported French Syrah really put a fine trim on what's already nearly brunchy perfection!!! The place isn't fancy but is a little loud, but so what? It's a happy breakfast joint pulling off upscale servings in a storefront setting. Our service was truly awesome. Maybe it's been a lot of mediocre servers at other venues, but the friendly, attentive, and courteous service at Brunch really stood out as special. Brunch is such a great find! I had the breakfast enchiladas and my boyfriend had the pork tamale Benedict. The enchiladas are crispy which I loved. Made a venture up to the true Cave Creek as this place had really good reviews. Super popular during brunch time and we had about a 15 minute wait. We started off with mimosas and moved onto food. We tried the Crab Cake Benedict and the Pork Belly hash. The Benedict was not just appealing to the eye in presentation but also delicious as well. The pork belly hash was surprisingly well balanced; I had thought the pork belly would be too heavy but it was balanced with some acidity with the kale which was surprising and delicious! The service was attentive and friendly which is much appreciated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside was busy but warm but had a cozy family feel to it but also had plenty of alcoholic choices for adults to enjoy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only reason why I had to give 4 stars was because of the cocktails; we tried the J-mo old fashioned and the brunch punch. The brunch punch was sweet, a little too sweet with not too much alcohol. As for the old fashioned, I've never had one with muddled cherries at the bottom. I've had my old fashioned and I understand the point of the cherries to add sweetness, but all the sweetness was at the bottom resulting in the first sip being overpowering or whiskey. Celebrated my 40th with friends having a late morning Brunch after a night at Harold's. The experience was amazing once again! We started with donuts and mimosas and our server was absolutely wonderful! I decided the Breakfast Enchiladas were a must this visit and I don't know that I can ever order another dish because it was INCREDIBLE!!! Several at the table wished they had followed my lead! This was our second time visiting here, and I usually give a place a twice test before I review them. We brought a friend who tried it her first time...and we were more impressed this time because everything was scrumptiously beautiful and delicious! I don't remember anything bad the first time around, other than they weren't able to get their "donuts of the day" supply. We didn't know any better, so that wasn't a mark against BRUNCH. Truly this is a great spot for brunch, and sitting out on the patio with the misters was an excellent choice! The car wash (FULL service btw) was a bit loud at times, but we were able to hold our lively conversations going without disruption. My friend started with one of the specialty cocktails (the Paloma), my husband had a Classic Mimosa, and I had a glass of champagne. These were served before our waters, coffee and tea were brought out...smart! My husband had the Classic Benedict w/potatoes and my friend had the Crab Cake Benedict w/fruit. They ended up sharing their sides, because the portions were generous. Plus, the potatoes were perfectly seasoned and the fruit was not just a big bowl of melon! I had the Shrimp & Grits w/o bacon (I know that I'm a weirdo), and topped with poached eggs. It was delicious! We ended the meal by sharing their Blueberry & Lemon Curd Pancake (I forgot to take a picture), which was the perfect end to our yummy meals! The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the plates were served to us by the chef and another chef...classy move! Omg this place is amazing. We went in on a Sunday I think and it was busy but there was no wait. It was our first time in so we asked the server some questions and she was really helpful. We watched an episode of eateries, in the Valley, on PBS. The episode included BRUNCH - KITCHEN & COCKTAILS in Cave Creek. PBS was on point with this place. The greeting by the hostess was the beginning to a great meal. She told me the wait time and then asked if I was okay with the time. Then she inquired if I had a seating preference of seating, inside or outside. The wait was much less than anticipated and we were seated at a table with a window, allowing us to enjoy the view of the mountains. I chose the Breakfast Enchiladas and Marykay chose the Blueberry Lemon pancakes and added a side order of Sausages. With the very first bite of the enchiladas, I knew I'd made an excellent choice. The pancake order proved to be a bit too much for Marykay so, I helped her out with it. Light and fluffy and as tasty as a pancake can be. As you can see in the picture, the portion size is good. Wow. This place was hands down one of the highlights of our trip. The food quality was incredible, and the variety on the menu made it so hard to choose; everything sounded amazing, and what we tried completely delivered. Always great food, friendly service, and a cozy vibe. This time around we tried the chicken and waffles (so good!), the peach cobbler French toast (super indulgent and delicious), the farm scramble, and the pork tamale Benedict. While everything was fresh and well made, we probably wouldn't get the tamale Benedict again since there are just so many other things on the menu we love more.
