Food and service were spot on. I dinged them one star because it is challenging for disabled people. Only 2 handicapped parking near the restaurant and even if you are lucky enough to get one of those spots, it is quite a walk from the parking lot to the restaurant. Heavy entry doors with automatic openers for disabled individuals. Same with the doors to the bathroom. We shared an order of beef tips soft tacos. They were build your own tacos loaded with flavor. We each had the local lager draft. Dinner was wonderful. Just wish it was more disabled friendly.

I was visiting from GA with local relatives and they recommended coming to Tonto. They are located amongst a Hilton Vacation Club property with a Pueblo design. The restaurant overlooks a golf course and has a lovely southwest ambiance. I had a prickly pear margarita ( beautiful) to start. We ordered the bread appetizer and I had the harvest salad which had berries, beets, marcona almonds and goat cheese. This was a nice starter, though the dressing wasn't terribly memorable. For the entree, I ordered the short ribs with a smooth and tasty mole sauce. It was served with a yummy polenta with green chile and corn and squash ribbons. My relatives ordered the vegan veggie bowl and the steak which they seemed to enjoy.. The service was pleasant and not too intrusive. If you're in the area looking for a relaxing and unpretentious meal, this is a nice choice.

The service is friendly but very slow. Somehow it feels like there are so many staff, but the food is slow to arrive, and there's always a big lull between being seated and ordering. The servers always seem rushed and impersonal. Docking another star for the prices - really overpriced. The food is good, and I get that it's a golf course and hotel, but compared to local places, it's just way too high.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Walking in you immediately feel the old southwestern vibe. We chose to sit outside where there are tables available in the sun as well as the shade. It's so quiet and peaceful and right on the golf course so green and lush.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My friend got the compressed arugula salad, and I had the harvest salad, both were delicious. We got the half portion and it was just the right size., We both had salmon for our protein, which was cooked to perfection. To start, we ordered the fresh baked gluten-free bread, which has quinoa, flex, sunflower, and sesame seeds. It was so good, with a little bit of butter and drizzle of honey as recommended by the waiter. It did not disappoint. The service was very good here. The meal came out quick and they consistently came to refill our water glasses and checked on us just often enough to be helpful. I will say that the price point is a little high, but for a special occasion it was worth it. My friend and I were celebrating our birthdays together.

Visited for Sunday early dinner with my wife and parents. We were promptly greeted and seated outside as requested. They were able to provide an outdoor heater which made everything all the more enjoyable. We had a lovely view of the golf course and enjoyed the beautiful sky as we dined. Service was friendly and attentive. The menu offers a variety of options with designated GF and vegan menus. We started with the Three Sisters app which provided chips and fry bread to go with three types of salsa and guac. I ordered the vegan relleno which is a veggie and quinoa stuffed poblano pepper with a tofu skewer. My wife had the veggie tacos with tofu. While the dish was quite filling, I do feel that it lacked a bit of flavor/zest. Nonetheless, I was thankful for the creative vegan options and would visit again! A nice option if you're in the area!

This upscale Mexican restaurant was the perfect choice for celebrating my birthday. The setting is intimate and romantic, with a gorgeous view of the golf course that sets the tone for a special evening. The scallops and shrimp were exceptional--perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The food was so good we joked about licking our plates clean. What truly elevated the experience was our phenomenal server, who made sure I felt celebrated and cared for all night. Highly recommend for a special occasion.

The steak tacos are really good. It's really nice to sit on the patio and eat. The service provided by our waiter Bobby Joe was superb. They were continually filling our waters and iced teas. They give you 4 corn tortillas for your make your own tacos. There was really only enough meat to make like 3 tacos. The salsa they severed with the tacos was amazing.

Sanddabs over mashed with snap peas and carrots. Absolutely delicious and would that 10 out 10 times.

The live DJ was INCREDIBLE and really brought the energy. Service was great as well. One thing to know before you go: it gets LOUD, especially on the weekends. We had a hard time hearing each other talk at times, so if you have sensitive ears or prefer a quieter, more relaxed brunch, I'd probably recommend going somewhere a little more low-key. That said, the lively atmosphere is definitely part of the experience, and we personally loved the vibe. Great food, good drinks, amazing music, and lots of energy. If you're looking for a brunch where you can eat, drink, listen to great music, and have a good time, Sugarjam is definitely worth checking out.

It is important to know that making a reservation requires a $20 deposit for a 90 minute seating. Upon my arrival, the hostess informed that I would be seated closer to or a little after my reservation time. I am new to the desert heat, and the restaurant's AC unit wasn't working properly which made the environment a little uncomfortable. There were fans strategically placed throughout the dining space. We were seated 20 minutes after our reservation time and offered a free round of drinks. There restaurant was out of some food options. The menu is extensive and does have a few vegan options which is appreciated. Our waitress was super friendly, and the DJ's playlist was on point - the restaurant's noise volume is loud. But the food is decent; I enjoyed my sweet potato hash and French toast, and the cinnamon butter and grits were a 10/10. I would recommend the restaurant and visit again, if I ever find myself in PHX.

Tucked back in a small building, just off Southern Avenue, you'll find Southern Fried. It is a small little walk in store front, so plan ahead to order out. We went ahead and ordered online to make things simple and easy. As shown on their building and advertised they show they serve Jamaican food so I was pretty let down when I looked at the menu to discover they do not have any Jamaican food. Seeing pictures of previous Yelp reviews of jerk chicken and oxtail left me bummed. We ended up ordering the fried okra, fried mushrooms, the 2 fish and 5 shrimp combo, along with the fried catfish and fries. We took our food to go and headed home, just around the corner. Once opening the containers i instantly got excited about the mushrooms. Anyone that knows me knows i am mushroom obsessed. With a quick dip in the ranch that came with and popping one into my mouth.... Yummmm! The okra was a bit of a miss. It seems they were still a bit slimy. Moving along to our main courses, I was disappointed to find that our fish was packed on top of our fries and the fries were very limp, soggy and unseasoned. I think packing the takeout differently could easily eliminate this issue. The catfish and shrimp were seasoned to perfection. They both had a perfect blend of spice and a light and crispy batter. I would love to see Jamaican food on the menu, as the advertising is a bit deceptive. Overall I would definitely be willing to try them again and would love to give one of their burgers a taste test.
