My wife and I stopped in to Dynasty Restaurant for lunch today. We found the restaurant very clean and attractive. I ordered their House Special Hand-shaven Barley Green Chow Mein Noodle with prawns, beef, chicken, eggs and vegetables. My wife ordered their Special Lunch combo of General Tso's Chicken with shrimps and cashew nuts. I chose their Hot and Sour soup and my wife got their Egg Drop soup. Everything was so tasty and we both agreed this was one of the best Chinese meals we ever had. I could go on and on about how good our our meal was, but I will keep this review somewhat short. I do have to state the service was just as remarkable. For sure when in Sequim we WILL be eating at Dynasty. read more

We arrived just after 6 pm on Sunday, and this place was bustling. We were seated right away, but it took over half an hour to get our dinner, because the restaurant was so busy with takeout orders. The food is worth the wait. We enjoyed the best Chinese meal we have had in a long time. We also appreciated the nice chopsticks. The menu includes combination dinners with a half portion of two different entrees, which is a great concept that provides more variety for a reasonable price. It would be even better if they included some vegetarian options in those combos. We ordered one combo with sesame chicken and honey walnut prawns. Then we added a regular order of Buddhist delight to get our veggies (and perfect tofu). It was all wonderful. read more

We came here after a 12 mile hike for which we brought an inadequate amount of food. This place was a godsend and fulfilled all of our dreams. The price was great, the servings were enormous, and the service was fast and friendly. We ordered the honey walnut chicken, and hand shaven beef chow mein. This restaurant definitely does not skimp on their meat portions, as well as a healthy amount of sauce too. Food wise, I'm sorry peeps but if you think this is very good Chinese food, you haven't tried much. We ate about 1/4th of a plate full and threw the rest away. It was like getting cheap Chinese food from some small town mall. It was really poor quality and taste. Haven't tried other chinese in the area but... this place is the best!! Flavorful cuisine, amazing barley noodles (I'd never had those before). Got the house chow menu, barley noodles w veggies, beef n broccoli, steamed gyoza, and the dry wok green beans... great combo! All dishes were fresh and light, not too heavy or greasy which I appreciated very much. Sweet people, easy to order and pick up, overall efficient and delish. Sequim isn't an area I'm usually in, so yesterday was my first visit to Dynasty. Both the pork fu young and the almond fried chicken were the best I've ever had! Great COVID precautions (curbside available), my order was ready when I got there, and a very pleasant, helpful young hostess too. Next time I need to make the loooong drive to Sequim, I'll do it a lot less reluctantly knowing I can bring home a bunch of GREAT food! Okay. So honest review time. I was super excited to eat here when we traveled to Washington for vacation. We stayed in Sequim so I yelped for ideas on restaurants to try - local places not your fast food chains. This place had amazing reviews and I was sooooo excited to try it because good Chinese food is hard to come by (in my opinion). The food was okay - but nothing that stood out to me. Went for dinner and had the two entree plate .....tried the Sequim Chicken since you can't get that anywhere else and the shrimp that had a white sauce and walnuts. The chicken was good but the sauce on the shrimp reminded me of mayo mixed with something sweet and I had to literally take my napkin and wipe the sauce off. My family felt the same way about their orders and we all decided that when we come back (because WA is a favorite vacay destination) this place would not be on our list to revisit. It makes me sad because I really, really was excited to eat here based on other reviews. read more

Good all round food, fast and friendly, but the handmade noodles are my favorite. Choose from the basic noodles, or the special green barley noodle! These come in mildly seasoned vegetable and egg dish with your choice of meat or tofu, and you can add hot sauce if you prefer a bit of spice. read more

BLAND. This is my SO's favorite Chinese in town, so I've been looking for something vegetarian there for me.. I like the green barley noodles and appreciate that they have something like that, however every time I've ordered it, it is so lacking in sauce or seasoning that it's nearly inedible. The wonton soup is AMAZING.. one of my favorites! We were greeted immediately by a woman whom I assume was the owner. Our waitress was Alex and she was incredibly kind. She offered me suggestions as I wasn't sure what I was im the mood for. She was very patient while I went back and forth picking. She kept everything refilled and was pleasant and timely. This is a really great family owned restaurant! Definitely come here if you're in sequim! The honey walnut shrimp is super yummy, but i also recommend trying the crispy noodles (N3) and the sequim chicken. it's great because the food is served family style so you and your group can try multiple things :) or you can just eat it all yourself! read more

We have been eating here for over ten years. I look forward to eating lunch or dinner at The Dynasty every time I am in Sequim, about once a month. It is some of the best Chinese in all of Washington and I eat a lot of Chinese Food. I like the Sequim Chicken, Honey Glazed Walnut Prawns, Fried Rice, Hand Shaven Noodles with Chicken, Kung Pao, Broccoli Beef, Hot and Sour Soup, Wonton Soup, and Pot Stickers. For both lunch and dinner you can order a combo for one. This way everyone in your party can get what they want without ordering Family Style. There is something just a little different about this Chinese Food that makes it special. The Owners Kevin and Melissa are very pleasant, care deeply about their business, and are always there. Dynasty is one our our favorite Sequim eateries. It's become our favorite go-to takeout place. Our toddler is a huge fan of the egg drop soup and egg rolls. We typically order the green barley noodles with chicken, or veggies and tofu. The thick noodles are so delicious. Another pleasant surprise in Sequim. I wonder why the best places in town are always the least crowded... Are the residents in Sequim afraid of good food? When you walk in, you immediately notice the small and simple decor, but anyone who knows good Chinese food knows the best comes from simple places. This is no exception! The folks who own and run the place are absolutely wonderful. Always smiling, super friendly, and very attentive. It was super cool to watch the mother and daughter sit at a table preparing fresh pea pods. They obviously know their clientele too, because the first thing the daughter said was "I've never seen you before, are you new to the area?". To me that says a bunch about an establishment. Now on to the food. We ordered our usual order at a Chinese restaurant; Won Ton Soup, Lemon Chicken, Orange Beef, Pork Chow Mein, and house fired rice. We default to these especially at new places because we know these dishes well, and judge a restaurant on them easily. I have to say we were truly impressed. The Won Ton soup was perfectly seasoned. There were three full won tons in the small cup, which is very rare; most places stick one in the cup and call it a day. On top of that, they were cooked perfectly, not too soft, not too hard, and the filling outstanding, and plentiful. The house fired rice was again cooked perfectly. A proper balance of shrimp, chicken, and pork surrounded in a heavenly bed of perfectly seasoned rice, with just the right amount of veggies. The lemon chicken was tender chicken breast covered in a light tempura-like batter and cooked to absolute perfection. The sauce had just the right amount of tang and sweetness combined in a nice sauce that was not too thin nor too thick. The Chow Mein had a perfect balance of pork and veggies mixed with proper noodles all soaked in a perfectly seasoned sauce. The orange peel beef was outstanding! The beef was fried just right so it had that crispy exterior while retaining a tender and soft texture and the sauce was definitely not the ketchup based sauces one finds in so many Chinese restaurants! I have to say this simple little Chinese restaurant in the middle of Sequim could easily hold it's own against some of the much higher-end Chinese restaurants we have visited in Frisco, LA and other major cities! We came by after a hike on Hurricane Ridge based on their reviews. The General Tso's chicken wasn't the highest of quality chicken and the Kung Pao wasn't that exciting either. This is our second time to this restaurant and both times the food and service have been excellent. We both ordered the combination dinners that come with soup, spring rolls, dumplings, rice (fried or steamed) and your choice of entree. I choose the chicken w/cashews and hubby choose the crispy sesame shrimp. The serving size of both entrees are very generous. Two or even three people could easily share. The chicken w/cashews had lots of crispy carrots and celery, which we both loved. The shrimp was crispy and the sauce was yummy!! Service was quick on this busy Saturday night.
