I often drop by this Dyson store just to check out what new products they have, but Elannah went above and beyond to help me solve an issue I've been having for almost a year. I had been having intermittent issues with my Gen5detect vacuum charger, and on top of being out of warranty, both Dyson's website and service center in Union City had zero stock for several months straight. I had previously been told that this store had started carrying parts in the past few months, but they also had no stock of the charger at all. Few days ago when I originally stopped by to buy an attachment head, Elannah was nice enough to tell me that they can waive shipping fees for any orders placed from their online store if they didn't already have it in stock. I figured I'd ask again about the charger, and although she originally told me the same that neither they nor the online store had it in stock, after hearing how I had been searching for almost a year, she went to the back and found me a spare working Gen5 charger that she didn't charge me for. This store is really cool. They have many Dyson products for you to demo, even products that you normally wouldn't think about like air purifiers, hair curlers, and even noise canceling headphones. Their associates have always been pretty nice and will demo products for you. You can drop stuff on the ground from their little jars and watch the vacuum pick them up! I tried their noise cancelling headphones and I thought it did a good job even without any audio plugged in! read more

Priya assisted me and was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. instead of pushing a sale, she patiently troubleshot the vacuum and encouraged me to double-check the warranty status, even though I told her that it had expired. i initially bought a replacement part because it was the last one in stock, but after confirming that the vacuum was still under warranty, i returned to the store. they had mentioned that they could send the V15 to the service center for me, but to save me time, Priya handled the refund and part swap on the spot. i truly appreciated her honesty and exceptional service! read more

My husband and I stopped by the Dyson store to look at hair straighteners for me. I wanted to see them in person before making a purchase. I have a few other Dyson hair products and I really love them. They really make good products. We were greeted and helped by Litzy. She was wonderful in helping me make a choice between two of the products I liked. She is also a hair stylist. So her feedback was very informative and helpful. She demonstrated how each type of straightener on my own hair. I thought that was very cool. I got to try each item on my hair, and that helped me make my decision. I chose the Airstrait tool. This straightens your hair with air and dries and straightens your hair at the same time without damaging your hair. I picked the color I wanted, and she was able to do a price match from another store. I got a great price on the Airstrait and also got the traveling case and hair clips with it as a bonus. Dyson, in case you didn't know, sells fancy overpriced vacuum cleaners, hair dryers, hair styling wands, headphones, and air filters. Yes we own/owned all of them (except the headphones). The products are pretty good but I do feel they won't last (lots of plastic). I also think the units sold here are better made than the items sold at Costco. The staff here knows their products well and is generally very friendly. That said, they should be properly trained on promotions and refrain from poking around on customers iPhones. read more

We had a good experience there, we just wanted to get in and get out with what we wanted but still get some guidance on which product is best for us. The salesperson did just that and we were happy. The only downside was that we had a baby in the stroller and he popped the dirty vacuum canister right in front of her and I didn't appreciate all the fine dust bursting in front of where we were breathing. I think they could have been more considerate with the demo.... Anyway, product is good. read more

I stopped in at the Dyson store in Valley Fair because I was interested in a cordless vacuum. There are two things in particular that lead me to highly recommend this demo store and the product. First, Dyson products are expensive, but the store representative was not trying to sell me the most expensive vacuum possible. The rep asked me about the size of my space and the type of flooring. Based on the information I provided, he recommended the model he thought was best for me and he explained why that model made sense. Again, not even close to the most expensive model available. He then efficiently demonstrated the model's functionality and how to care for the vac. Second, the product itself is worth every penny. I replaced a traditional canister vacuum and am finding that the cordless vac is much easier to navigate around furniture, the kitchen island, and around corners. The vacuum came with an attachment that has a green light that highlights debris on the floor (this was demonstrated for me at the store). I thought the green light and demo were fun, but ultimately a gimmick. I was wrong. Good grief this light shows you dust and debris on the floor that you cannot see with the naked eye! Where is all of this dust coming from?! When I empty the canister after vacuuming, it is unbelievable how much dirt in in there. Dyson makes a good vacuum in terms of usability and cleaning quality, but I particularly recommend the Dyson demo store in Valley Fair because you can see and handle the products and the experts will help guide you to what is best for you. They do not seem to exist just to up-sell you. read more

I came into the store to buy a new Air Wrap. As soon as we walked in, we were totally ignored by all the workers. When we were at the Air Wrap table, my mom asked the worker "Do you guys have this in purple and pink?" The worker responded, without even making any type of eye contact, "yeah we have it" and walked away (not even to help anyone else out). We got another worker after the rude interaction and told her we were going to purchase an air wrap. This worker was more kind than the last--we even had my Air Wrap personalized. Fast forward a month later, my machine stopped working. it had intermittent power after using it for more than 5 minutes. I brought it back in the exchange for a new one and had almost the same, if not worse experience. No one tried to help as soon as I walked in. One of the workers that weren't even helping me out asked me "did you bring your receipt?" Only to find out later I didn't even need my receipt. The man helping me said that they have to duplicate the issue in order for me to make an exchange. Tell me why this man runs my Air Wrap for not even a minute and said "well it looks fine to me". Do you think I blow dry my hair for 1 minute?? Did he think I was lying or was he just lazy? My machine finally died after a minute of running and he goes "oh I guess you're right" well duh because why would I come all the way here with my Air Wrap?? The man brings out a new box, but just switches out the blower. I expected an entire exchange with the new products and everything. Felt silly walking out without a box and an entire new machine. The guy seemed flustered and in a rush- not really wanting to be there. Maybe I caught everyone on their bad days (both visits were on busy Fridays). But for the amount of money this machine costs, you would expect the service to be at least good!!! It wasn't!!! read more
