I received the dyson supersonic hair dryer in white as a gift which was purchased at a 20% owner's discount. I went into the century city location to exchange it for the fuchsia one. The person in charge at the store said that I'd have to pay back the 20% discount that was originally given, despite it being an even exchange. Prior to heading to the store, we were told on the phone by a dyson representative that I could exchange the dryer for another color without a problem. In addition to dishonoring the offer, the blonde lady in charge was extremely rude and condescending. She also repeatedly said that the 20% "owner's" discount was only being offered 4 times a year as if I was asking her to honor it for a new sale. I didn't feel heard as a customer. I felt disrespected and looked down on so I ended up returning my $350 gift. Horrible customer service and staff. I will never look into or buy a dyson product. read more

Great folks at this Dyson showroom. Went into just to inquire about the newer version of my vacuum and ended up purchasing 2 items. Really happy about my purchases, especially the airwrap hair styler. The sales rep was very thorough with explaining how to use it and also gave me tips in the store. She didn't hard sell me on it but I liked the results and decided to purchase. Today I was able to style my hair in under 10 minutes with super voluminous beach wave curls. It's a pricey hair styling tool but the technology and results are worth it. It does take some learning and I watched several beauty youtubers showing how to use it properly. This location also offers monogram embossing on the case for the airwrap styler. A really nice perk that wad complimentary. Will definitely be back and happy all of my questions and concerns were covered during my walk in visit. I went during a week day when it was pretty quiet. I think this is the best time to shop, especially if you have questions about their products. Weekends are probably a zoo! read more

My Dyson experience was wonderful largely due to Lia. My husband purchased a Dyson Airwrap gift set for me for my birthday in December. I was happy to receive it, however, I honestly was at a loss on the proper way to use all the attachments & get the best benefit from the Airwrap. I watched a number of U Tube segments but still did not feel confident in how to use it. The Airwrap definitely does have a " learning curve". Finally I called the Dyson demo store in Century City & they were able to set me up with a complimentary instruction lesson at the store with Lia. Lia was so great! She explained & demonstrated how all 6 attachments for the Airwrap worked. She let me practice with some of the attachments so I would remember how to use it when I got home. Lia answered All my questions ( & I had a lot of questions). She was patient & did not rush me. Lia is a former hair stylist so she knew a lot about hair in general in addition to her expertise with Dyson products. Today I washed & air dried & curled my hair & it really looks like it has more volume than it normally does. The Airwrap is much better for my hair as it does not use the extreme heat as regular hair dryers & I can curl my hair without the hot rollers & curling iron that has been doing a lot of damage to my hair. The Dyson Airwrap is an investment in feeling good about your appearance and I am very happy with the Airwrap and especially happy that Lia was able to help me so much in feeling confident in using it. This is not about the demo store. This is about the Dyson vacuum we purchased. The absolute worst decision ever. Whoever designed this thing should be jailed. Using the separate extension hose is like wrestling an anaconda. Impossible to extend. The unit is cumbersome. Not easy to use. Crap. If my wife and I ever divorce, it will be over this purchase. Dyson truly has the worst customer service. I ordered a $500 blow dryer and the package was stolen because it was left outside and Dyson didn't put any insurance on the package or require a signature or a simple door knock and it was the holiday season. I'm now on my third week of trying to get Dyson to send me another dryer or refund me and I've spoken to countless agents who have not been able to do anything. I am now waiting for almost 2 weeks for a call that was supposed to happen "within 24-72" hours. I can't get Dyson to minimally refund me and I'm out $500. I recommend never buying directly from Dyson; they really have horrific customer service that is frustrating and infuriating. read more

A little bit odd. Very knowledgeable sales staff but when I expressed excitement about getting approved to use FSA money, just a blank stare. So I don't think these people have full benefits like Nordstrom employees do. Then she tried to sell me a Cryptomic in a damaged box with 2 large holes in it. I refused. She came back with the wrong box for a totally different air purifier. Then she finally brought the right one. All this time she gives me this awkward iPad on a crooked holder to try to fill out the information forcing me to register the product on the spot. The interface is terrible the keypad covers all the data entry points on the screen then because she was going in circles for so long I filled out product name. I told her I filled that out when she finally brought The correct product back to me and then was upset that I filled out her portion she said that's my part and I was thinking why doesn't your interface stop me from filling it out then and why don't you bring the right product or have one of the other two people who are just standing around help me check out? Then the credit card processing was also an issue. She wasn't sure if it went through or not she had to get the manager involved all the sudden the manager took interest in the transaction and thanked me on the way out. I just looked at her and nodded because she could've been really helpful this whole time and I don't know what was keeping her from participating. I also had asked the original sales lady how I can get this to the car and the sales person told me it wasn't too heavy. I was in a considerable amount of pain carrying this to the car and of the 3 of them I was shocked there was no cart they could help me carry this to the car in. Terrible. read more

I have owned the air wrap for a while and have only used two attachments. I have watched several YouTube videos and they haven't given me enough insight as to how to use the air wrap. It was amazingly easy to make an appointment to learn how to use to the air wrap! I came in with my hair wet from just washing - they will wash it for you if you prefer. Lisa was amazing! She showed me how to use each of the attachments and then so patiently waited and instructed while I tried using it myself! It does take a bit of getting used to using it. She showed me how to use it when my hair was wet and when I had dried it - i.e. second day hair. LOVE my Dyson products! I was curious about the Dyson AirWrap for a while as I've been loving the blow dryer since I got it in 2017. My hair takes a while to style as I usually wash it, blow dry it, straighten it *then* go over it with a curling iron. Off the bat, I could tell that the product was a HUGE timesaver and I've been interested in the technology mainly due to the lower heat temperatures that are better for your hair. The lovely Lisa expertly guided me through the demo (and a hair wash) at the chic Century City location and I learned a ton. So the AirWrap comes with multiple pieces, including the pre-styling dryer: what I didn't actually realize was the product dries, straightens *and* curls your hair with the various attachments. Lisa started me off by drying my hair, focusing on the roots -- leaving it a bit damp (60% of the moisture out), we then attached the firm smoothing brush to begin straightening. OMG, game changer already. It was so easy, and I definitely didn't feel like I was trying to iron a very wrinkly silk shirt (which is sometimes how it feels straightening my hair, especially if I air dry it). We then moved onto curling barrels, which didn't work like I expected...while the item looks like a curling iron, it doesn't operate like one. Using these did take a minute to get used to, and will take me (a very clumsy, uncoordinated person) a minute to figure out, but overall, it's easy: you have to hold each piece of hair out and then allow the air from the iron to whip the hair automatically around the barrel. Then instead of turning the AirWrap, you simply just move it towards your hair and it does the work for you. You then shoot the curl with cold air for 5 seconds before turning it off and removing. So, it's fast but does take a second to get used to. I would definitely recommend going in for a tutorial because it's so worth it to truly understand how this amazing piece of technology works.
