Stopped by today to buy some bags for my Miele that I just purchased used from eBay. I was worried about whether everything was as it should be since it's the first time I got this brand (so I'm not familiar with how it should work) and it's 2nd hand. Miguel was so sweet!!! He took time to inspect it for me and look over the vacuum and teach me how to use all the various functions. I walked out more confident about the purchase and with peace of mind. Bags were affordable too. I appreciated the friendliness and will be taking my vacuum to be serviced here from now on. read more

I had a great experience at Beverly Hills Vacuum. I brought in an older Miele Vacuum that I was considered having repaired. I had taken it to another place that was unable to repair it. When I called, the gentleman on the phone told me he could give me a solid estimate if I brought in the vacuum. I brought it in later that day and while he would be able to repair it, it was going to cost upwards of $200. It was probably 7 years old and had not been properly maintained. I decided I was ahead to purchase the entry level Miele Vacuum that he promised was manufactured better than the model I own. I bought a few boxes of bags and a natural order eliminator and ended up spending around $400. That may sound like a lot, especially since I was not planning on purchasing a new vacuum, but overall I've been really happy with my purchase. It is a gorgeous burgundy color and is making a big difference in the cleanliness of my home. I have two dogs, and one of them sheds quite a bit and having a good vacuum makes our house much cleaner. The man who helped me is one of the owners and was incredible knowledgeable about the products. He answered lots of my questions and it did not feel like I was being pushed into anything. Review update (original review below) I added a star to my original review, because of the good-will of the owner, Michael, who called to explain after seeing my Yelp post. While I appreciated the call, understand that sometimes employees have bad days, mistakes can be made, and taking over a new business can be difficult, but just because they are taking over a previously over-neglected business doesn't make it right to hurriedly over-estimate and wrongly-diagnose my vacuum. I am not deleting what I previously wrote, because that's what happened, and people can make their own decisions. (Incidentally, yes, it was a pain to drive down to Santa Fe Springs to drop off my Dyson, but they fixed it in a day.) Original review below from 5/25/2013 ================================================================ If there's a zero star option, I'd pick it! It started with a mix-up, which I was willing to overlook. BH Vacuum recently changed owners. But when I first called them, they said they were still with the previous owner, who was an authorized Dyson service center. So I took my under-warranty Dyson to them, to fix a warranty related issue, as approved by Dyson HQ. Like the previous reviewer, I was told I'd get a call probably the next day in regards to let me know what's wrong, but never got a call back. I called a week later, the person said that it's the reset button switch (my roller brush wouldn't stay rolling), it's under warranty, and they're waiting for the part from Dyson, so it might take about a week and a half. During the next two weeks, I called two times, and again the same story, part has not arrived it, another week, maybe. So after almost 4 weeks, I called again, asking if I should get on Dyson's case for not sending the part, the man who answered the phone at BH Vacuum, said that he'll call Dyson, and call me back in about maybe 1/2 hour. Well, he never called back. Finally, I called Dyson, to inquire what's going on. Dyson representative informed me of the new ownership, and no longer an authorized service center. Ok, misunderstanding, mix-up, I can totally let it go. Today, after 4 weeks, for the first time, I got a call back from BH Vacuum! The man apologized that the vacuum's been sitting there for so long, which I appreciated it. But THEN, he proceeded to give me an estimate, that the vacuum head needs to be replaced, the filters are filthy, and they need to be replaced, that the machine is loud, because of some issue (I forget), and that it'll cost me about $250 to fix it. At this point my blood was boiling. Obviously they think I'm a stupid woman who don't know my vacuum (does the new owner once worked for a car dealership??) 1) I went in for an issue covered by warranty, as per the original diagnostics. 2) The vacuum head was a brand new vacuum head I received from Dyson, and it wasn't the problem. 3) My filters are a little dirty, but you wash filters, you don't replace them! You replace them only when they show signs of age, and mine certainly don't! 4) $250?? I can buy a new vacuum with that cost! 5) Loud? It's always been loud, since day one! 6) And once they changed ownership, why didn't they call me to tell me they are no longer a service center, and I need to go pick up the vacuum? I doubt they just changed hands this past week, since when I called, I was never informed! Bottom line is, don't take your vacuums there! Like I said right off the top, I could completely forgive the mix-up with ownership change (although 4 weeks is a long time to be told), but to lie to me about the fixes needed, that's criminal. Now I just worry what they did to it during this 4 months, now that the roller brush doesn't roll at all anymore, whereas before it intermittently did. read more

Great shop! I called to inquire about the availability of refurbished Miele vacuums & was told they had two currently in the shop. Being familiar with the brand, I asked about models & pricing. I went in & Scott, one of the owners, helped me. He couldn't have been any more accommodating. I selected a model based on his recommendation, added an accessory & a box of bags. The price was quite reasonable & included a limited warranty. The shop also carries a variety of floorcare products from great European brands. It is meticulously clean, organized, & well-stocked. I will be bringing my vacuum back here for it's scheduled maintenance in a year. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place! read more

I don't usually give one-star ratings. It's just not within my nature. I'm more of a "benefit of the doubt" kind of consumer, but this place... I can only speak to my experience with a Dyson vacuum. And pretty much, DON'T EVER bring a Dyson here to be fixed. Just don't. My roommate dropped off our stand-up Dyson for repairs. Got it back two weeks later, only to have it die not more than 5 seconds after turning it on at home. When she took it back & followed up on it, they told her "our Dyson tech hasn't looked at it yet. When he gets in and gives us his assessment, we'll call you." Tick.... Tock... A week later...? Nothin'. So, I followed up this time. Turns out the 'part' they needed was, in fact, a new motor... which they now had to order... and then once it arrived, we had to wait for their Dyson tech.... again.... More waiting. And NO proactive communication whatsoever. NONE! I happened to call one day, because I happened to be nearby. Wouldn't you know, it was ready! Would've been nice to have received a call, but I guess it just wasn't important to them, despite telling them how urgently I needed it back. (Roommate with dogs + me with allergies + no vacuum for 4 weeks = Miserable Me. Pass the Kleenex & Claritin, please.) I made sure to test it on the premises before leaving this time. God knows what other part we might need or when their Dyson tech would return! In the end, it's working fine so far. Seriously. Looks like they did a good job. Too bad poor customer service, non-active communication, and even a free loaner didn't make up for all the trouble. Much like some of the other reviews I've read, Dyson actually referred this place to my roommate. After comparing the reviews for this place and their other location, though, I get a feeling they meant the other one. read more

I never place review on line but I had to make an exception here. Six months ago, I bought my Dyson and love almost everything about it. My housekeeper hit it on the side of the ball and cracked that half of the ball. After calling Dyson, they told me to take it to Beverly Hills Vacuum. When dropping it off, I was told that someone would call me the next day to tell me when the part would come in and be fixed. I was not called so about four days later I called and after being put on hold for about 6 or 7 minutes I was told that it would take two weeks to get the part. Plus, because the machine was over two years old, needed a $90 tune up. It has been used 8 times since I bought it. We are in 2014 and if you want to stay in business, you don't say something like that. I put myself through some of my schooling repairing vacuum's in the 70s and we could do a complete rebuild, including turning the rotors and making it look brand new. in less than a week. I place an order to Amazon and get my product in two days. Who do these people think they are fooling. Back to my venting. While on my second placement on hold for over 8 minutes, I am told that the only Dyson technician is out on a family mater and doesn't know when he will return. I just email Dyson with my complaint and we shall see what they are willing to to to their tarnished name. read more

Vacuum cleaner dropped of 4 weeks ago and can't get it repaired or returned. Continually being told part is on back order This is a Dyson Repair service and recommended to us by Dyson. Vacuum was under warranty but they sold us an overall maintenance on it for $125. Haven seen our vacuum cleanser since and #Dyson is doing nothing that helps us get our vacuum cleaner returned to us. read more

After using another vacuum repair shop on my Dyson and paying what I thought was an exorbitant fee, a few days ago i convinced myself for that there was a Miele in my future. I went back to the other guy on Pico and was underwhelmed. With a bit of research I discovered Beverly Hills Vacuum. The store is well organized, clean and professional. I was greeted by the delightful Amy. She was well educated educated on all things Miele. She was a tech and a salesperson. I bought a top of the line refurbished, that she personally had done the work. Got it home and works great, Highly recommend. read more

This review probably won't be believed because it's gonna GLOW so hard! These people know what old fashioned customer service is. After a mediocre experience at the Miele showroom on Robertson, I called this store for help. Mike was SUPER friendly, extremely knowledgeable about his products and a delight to talk to. He was kind enough to match the deal that the bigger store had offered plus more. When I made it over to the store, Mike wasn't there but had arranged to have my products waiting as promised. I was given a complete, expansive tutorial on my new vacuum. It was unboxed, assembled and demonstrated throughly! It was even carefully carried out to my car and secured for travel. I'm from a small town in Indiana and this is the kind of service I remember as a kid. I will send them customers. I will return and be a life long customer. This is how it's done folks. read more

Took my dyson vacuum in for a overhaul said will call back with the estimate no such like had to call them quoted $123 to fix called back in a week to pick up ready to go. Housekeeper used it the next week no suction on attachments really no suction would think they would have checked that before charging me the 123,00. Took it back can fix for another $70 no thanks close to $200 bucks could have bought a new vacuum for that price picked up old vacuum not fixed and would not return any of the $123 money that they charged for acouple of filters. Would not recommend them and would never go back there ever again total rip off for the price they charged and still never worked properly stay away from them or make sure u test it before u leave the shop i'm really sorry I didn't read the other reviews of this tacky joint I would have never gone there read more

Reading from these reviews, there seems to be a common theme. If you are trying to get your vacuum fixed through warranty, you will have a terrible time. If you want to pay out of pocket, you'll have a much better experience. Well, I'm under the Dyson warranty crowd. The biggest problem here is communication. Before I agreed on the fix, I was under the impression that the repair was covered under warranty. When I picked it up, I owed $130 which apparently I signed off on. I did not. Then, it became a he said, she said deal. Even though, the owner brought down the price to $90, I still feel like I just got out of getting ripped off from a sleazy car salesman. Another communication problem: I brought my vacuum first week of February. I was told I would be getting calls, but like most reviewers, never received such calls. I had to make the effort and check up on the repair. In one phone conversation, I was told it could take upto 3 months for the part to come in. What product nowadays takes a trimester to be delivered. Mine took over 2 months. But in these 2 months, they will not call you to give you an update. I called them two weeks ago and finally, they said they received the part and now need to repair. So moral of this story is that there will be no updates unless you make the effort to do so. Dyson needs to let them go as one of their third party service centers. It makes Dyson look awful as well. read more

I left two vacuum cleaners for fixing appraisal, the man who was behind the counter told me I would get a call, in a couple of days. Two weeks later I still hadn't heard from them. I went to the store, the same man actually wrote the appraisal right there and had a really awful attitude. I asked for the manager, he told he was the manager. HORRIBLE!!! STAY AWAY!!!! Do yourself a favor and read other reviews. THIS IS NO LONGER A DYSON AUTHORIZED REPAIR SHOP. The previous business "Bob's vacuum" was, but this place is not. The people still go here because they still have the same address and phone number. These people have no ethics and morals. They will LIE to your face to get money out of you. Just like everyone here, I dropped off a dyson vac to be repaired. Then I was told to call the following business day to check in to see what's covered and not covered under the warranty. So when I called, the guy says the replacement of the broken part is covered but I'd have to pay $140 to clean the vacuum and change the filter!!! I told him I only want the broken piece replaced at which point he tells me "Dyson will not allow us to fix the unit without getting the maintenance work". I was in disbelief, so I hung up and called Dyson to confirm. Lo and behold, Dyson states that they would never do that and offered to call this place. Then the shop CHANGED THEIR STORY and told Dyson that they would not be able to replace the broken piece without cleaning out the unit first. TOTAL SCAMMING LYING THIEVES!!! If you read other reviews, this is what they do to blatantly upsell unsuspecting Dyson customers. FILE A COMPLAINT with Dyson. These guys should not be in business. read more

I went to Beverly Hills Vac and had a great experience. I found the customer service to be great. I brought my vacuum in for repair and was called a day later with the estimate. The estimate was reasonable and my machine was done a few days later and now is working like new! I am very pleased and would definitely go back and recommend Beverly Hills Vacuum! read more

Methinks not. I had a similar experience after Dyson advised me to take my vacuum there and they'd told me I was fortunate in being 3 days within my warranty period. They also told me that a work order had already been sent to this business and that they would be expecting me. I took filters out and tried to clean vacuum best I could before dropping it off, as my issue was with the wand only and I had the original piece that had come loose which I left with them. The front part only required re-assembly as I'd done my best to clean it as well, as I didnt want the talcum powder I'd vacuumed all over their floor. When I dropped it off they had no information regarding a work order, but asked me to call them for an estimate after the weekend. I had to call back twice to check the status, and on the last call was told it would cost nearly $300 since it'd "been used without filters" and they "needed to order several parts". I didn't use it without filters, I took the opportunity to clean them while the vacuum was being worked on. I picked it up today and fixed it myself in 20 minutes with the help of a YouTube video...with the parts I already had. It now works perfectly. Im interested in businesses that are in turn interested in gaining return customers -especially neighborhood ones- and in providing a service for which I'd have been happy to pay, regardless of any warranty. I'm not interested in businesses that look for opportunities to overcharge their customers. read more

Recently took my Miele to this store to be fixed after my house cleaner busted the motor. They are under new ownership I think, because the guy that helped me, Ron, I think his name was said that he had just taken over the store. Anyway, the service they gave me was on point ( I had done some research prior becs I didn't want to get ripped off). The service was excellent which is what I look for in small businesses. The price range wasn't too bad for fixing my machine and Ron even threw in some free bags! Anyway, I would definitely recommend this place to someone whose looking to repair their vacuum or looking to buy a new one. read more

These people are as equally inept as they are dishonest. I was told that my Dyson required a new motor and it would take two weeks to get the parts. Two weeks later I was told that the vacuum would be ready later that day or early the next day. I called them a day later and was told upon further inspection their technicians concluded that the vacuum required a new motor--to which I told them that's what they said two weeks prior! Weeks went by and then I called again and was told that "both Dyson technicians were simultaneously on vacation (in mid November--apparently this is the busy holiday season for phantom Dyson technicians) and there would be a further two week delay." After calling Dyson (a great company that has great products) I finally decided to take my Dyson out of the clutches of these charlatans. I picked the Dyson up today and one of the employees apologized saying that the parts were on back-order. These people can't keep their lies straight. I came here after bringing my vacuum into another store close to home. I have passed this store on my way to work for a while and decided to bring my vacuum here because the quote I received at the local store was really higher than I expected. Being that it is located in West Hollywood, I really wasnt expecting the price to be any better, but I was hoping! Anyway, the shop has a new owner and the service was really great. The guy who helped me was knowledgeable about my vacuum and actually came in 25% cheaper in his quote than the other store! I felt like the person at Beverly Hills Vacuum was better at explaining the problem and the solution and the price was definitely more reasonable than at the other place! YAY! This is a store I will feel comfortable going to in the future because I feel like I am getting quality service for my money here. I can recommend Beverly Hills Vacuum and the new owners/personnel very highly. I am so glad I stopped in! read more
