He took a look at my machine and came back with a diagnostic. Unfortunately my machine was not fixable but he was able to help me with replacing it since I am still within warranty. He even checked if they had anything in stock so I got to go home with a new one today and now don't have to stress about it arriving on time for my trip. The guy was able to figure out was was needed right away. Replaced the motor and bin at a good price. But he kept pushing me to buy a new vacuum instead, saying I'll be coming back to get the battery replaced anyway. I can replace the battery myself, thanks. The cost of this replacement and replacing the battery myself will be cheaper than buying a new one. I didn't appreciate how pushy he was. Quality/Quantity - Wow, what a GREAT brand! We have one of these in each property. We own all the models from the V8 to V12 ish... In my opinion Dyson makes the BEST cordless vacuums. We have tried and tested them all, including the more expensive brands. And again, none of them are better than Dyson! Okay, I am NOT the best cleaning person. And I admit I over use this thing and probably improperly. I tried to vacuum excessive dust, concrete dust, etc. I was afraid I killed the motor or battery... Was about to buy another vacuum, then my wife found this repair center! Atmosphere - Small sales and repair place. Open 5 days a week from Monday to Thursday at 9am to 4:30pm and on Fridays from 9am to 5:30pm. Closed weekends. Yelp hours differ slightly. Plenty of shared parking. Service - 5 Stars, Aaron is so professional!! Quick and efficient, thank you. Texted us within 20 minutes to repair, wow. Taught my wife what and how to fix in future. Reading the reviews, I was expecting the worse but it was the best! Go in, there's a QR scanner to put your info in. The service tech comes out, takes your device to the backroom, and will come out with a verdict. Customer 1: Got their vacuum fixed Customer 2: Blow dryer after 1 year, can't fix. He said it was still under warranty, so go that route Customer 3/me: My Dyson v10 after 6 years just stopped working. He took it in, came out after 5 minutes and said it was my charger that wasn't working. He gave me his charger for free! Note: My vacuum was out of warranty. I tried to fix this via the Dyson website and customer service. Not helpful. Was going to trash the vacuum but saw this place. So saved myself a couple hundred $$!! Each customer took about 5 minutes. While I waited, I tried the other dyson products on display (blow dryer, curler, etc.) After me, 3 more people came in. It was busy. No one came out to help for the 20 minutes I sat and waited with the other 8 people. Everyone looked equally confused as to why no one was at the desk or in sight. The good: I was the first one there when they opened and I was in and out in 15 minutes. The bad: they couldn't pinpoint the issue on my device and told me I was better off buying a new one, but didn't have any in stock. I specifically drove all the way here to avoid downtime and dealing with shipping. Also the man coordinating the waitlist treated a customer harshly because they spoke limited English. He appeared frustrated, scolded them for not having the silver serial-number tag, and made them wait longer. Completely different attitude than how he spoke to other customers. read more

The young man who helped me was sooo nice and I had a very smooth experience. They fixed my motor which was still under warranty. Just sharing an update on this center. I eventually emailed the center and heard back from the supervisor, Ricardo, who has been great to work with now that we're in touch. He set clear expectations about next steps, timeline, and costs, and he was super responsive when I had follow-up questions, e.g., if I wanted an ETA on the machine's return. If other folks have trouble getting ahold of the service center by phone, I highly recommend emailing them, and if you happen to get Ricardo, rest assured you'll be well taken care of! Once we finally got connected, Ricardo did helpfully clarify on Jan. 5 that it takes 14-21 business days for them to run the initial diagnostics--i.e., upwards of over five weeks. I'm sharing that timeline here for other customers in case they're also worried that their machines got lost in the ether. When I spoke with Dyson customer service by phone, they had definitely not communicated that timeline--only said that they'd escalated my inquiry and that I should expect to hear back from the service center within "several days." I also eventually got an email (automated, I think?) on Jan. 9 saying that Dyson had received my machine. That email came 24 calendar days after the machine was actually delivered to the service center by UPS. If the confirmation of receipt had come closer to Dec. 16 (or if someone had answered the phone when I called and confirmed this), that would have preempted the downstream concerns from my original post. One suggestion for the Dyson team: Have the automated email be triggered earlier, and in that email, set expectations about the 14-21 business days. Otherwise, though, the machine is back and fixed--hooray! read more

I love my Dyson air wrap but it was glitching for some reason and needed repair. I'm closer to the Dyson store at Valley Fair but decided to go this route since I would be in the area. I didn't really know what to expect- if they would fix it instantly or if I needed to come back. I walked in, checked in, and a younger guy came out and took my airwrap. He said he would check it out and come back out in a bit. 20 minutes later he came out and said aight it's done. Just need to run it for a bit to make sure. WOAH. I thought he was just doing diagnostics and was going to tell me to come back another day. He was very kind and went out of his way to show excellent customer service!!! Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! This Dyson service center is amazing! Aaron helped me today and what a pleasant experience! First, you scan a QR code to register & check in. Then, Aaron comes out and start servicing my needs. My Dyson v8 animal + vacuum has a problem (turns on and off by itself even though the vacuum is still turned on). I went out to run a quick errand while Aaron was inspecting and analyzing. In about 20 minutes or so, I received a text and that my repair is complete and ready to pick up. I come right back to the center and indeed my vacuum is ready and fixed. Aaron taught me about the filter care instructions. Easy and fast! I was so appreciative of Aaron and this Dyson Service Center. Although Dyson is an expensive product but its quality and customer service are impeccable! I've seen mixed reviews but I've had nothing but great support at this store. This was my second visit. I had a broken filter cover for my blow dryer. They ordered one and sent it to my home. Said I could pop it on (it opens like a book vs. old filters like on my dryer that have to have cord removed to put on. This one wouldn't work on my dryer. We got Rick and he looked/apologized for having the wrong part. It clearly was made for newer blow dryers, but when it was ordered, their system said it would work. He said he would make a note of this for their parts people. He took my dryer and said he would credit me for ordering the wrong part and put the new one on (required me leaving it, but no problem). No charge for any of this. He called me at 5pm and said he got the new filter on and I could pick it up on Wednesday. No charge for adding the new filter on since they ordered the wrong part! Second part, we have a 10 year old purple ball vacuum...couldn't find the serial number. Not good because they do require the serial number to service. I figured we'd just donate it to them for parts. The handle where you remove the canister was loose/not seating right. It would come off if I wasn't careful. Rick found a used handle/top for the canister and it fit. Nice and tight and doesn't come off. When I asked how much, he said no charge. My husband and I were suprised but no "key strokes" as he put it (in their system). Our kudos to Rick and his customer service. There are 1-2 other techs there but after observing Rick and the other guy, you want Rick. The other guy was a bit negative and didn't even offer to try and help. Not Rick. Got gifted a refurbished dyson air wrap but unfortunately, it had intermittent power issues since opening. Tried troubleshooting then contacted dyson support with their chat box and they told me the warranty would cover repair and to go here since it's the only one nearby in the bay. I came a little after 9am and there was no one in the waiting room at first but there was a QR code on the table to check-in. I was about to scan it and check-in when a worker came out. They were super attentive and helpful! They said to check-in so they can get the product details then he said it would be quick and went to the back with the faulty part. They came out less than 10 minutes after, told me that a fuse broke and that they replaced the whole part to be safe. It works great now!! i drove from an hour away to this dyson service center. luckily there wasn't a wait and i was helped right away. the guy (didn't get to catch his name) let me know it'll be a little wait and he will find out what's wrong. i waited about ~20ish minutes which wasn't too long. i waited in the lobby area for a bit and he was able to fix my dyson hairdryer right away! my hairdryer was still under warranty and didn't have to pay anything for the service repair!! thank you so much to the kind gentleman who helped me out today! truly appreciate it and i definitely recommend this place and worth the little trip out here. i have a lot of dyson hair tools and i know where to go now if there was ever something wrong with my electronics. :) read more

Emailed this location asking if I could have them take a look at my broken hair dryer that is just 2 months out of warranty. Made it very clear in my email that I had purchased the hair dryer in Vancouver. After mailing the hair dryer to them, I got a call from them saying that my hair dryer was a counterfeit. I was stunned as I had purchased the dryer from the Dyson store itself and even had a receipt to prove it with matching serial number. They then told me maybe that's why the hair dryer looks different because the dryer is from Canada. However, they said they are unable to fix a Canadian hair dryer. If they had read my email fully, I wouldn't have wasted my time sending them the hair dryer in the first place! On top of that, I am still unclear if this is actually a counterfeit or not (they have not responded to my email...) read more

I use my v10 religiously - I am honestly dependent on it since I have two dogs that shed like crazy so when the trigger switch broke, I felt like I was going insane without my vacuum. I dropped in 15 mins before 1pm to inquire about the repair and the check in process was fast and seamless. Shawn then looked at the vacuum and said that he could have it repaired but that they did not have the part on hand so they would need to hold my vacuum for a few days which I agreed and left. I think I was in and out in about 10 minutes. Later that evening I got a call from Shawn that he actually had a part available and would have my vacuum ready for pick up the next day. At pick up, he mentioned that he noticed my canister was dirty so he replaced it free of charge! When I got my vacuum back, it looked brand new. Tyson greeted me and the other customers as we entered all while he was already helping a customer. Tyson was confident that he can diagnose and solve my fan's F3 error. He said there was an error with the fan's PCB and it would only take him 10 minutes to switch and fix. 10 minutes later, my fan was working perfectly and has been the last couple of days now! My 2020 Airwrap stopped working recently, despite cleaning and letting it cool down. It is outside the warranty period and live about 1.5 hours from this location so was worried about potential wait time and cost to repair it. Did you even know there was a Dyson service center? I sure didn't. My vacuum is about 4 years old and one of the brushes just stopped spinning. It was too expensive for me to replace the entire machine, so I wanted to find a place that could fix it. I wasn't aware that Dyson actually serviced their own machines, let alone have a local center that I could do it at. It was only in traffic one day on my way home from work, I looked closely at my maps and there was a Dyson Service Center on there. I made a mental note to look it up later since I figured it was a coincidence and maybe somebody just used the name Dyson. Lo and behold, I am fortunate to live right by an official service center. You could make appointments online so I did. I got lucky and found an appointment on the following Monday- otherwise they were scheduling about 2 weeks out. I received a confirmation email, as well as email and text reminders. Day of, I showed up a few minutes early. It's located in an industrial part of Union City as expected but plenty of parking and easy to find. I went inside with my Dyson Animal Ball 2 and let them know I had an appointment. They handed me a short form to fill out with my general information and took my machine to the back. Came back within 5 minutes let me know they were able to fix my issue and even replaced my Amazon filter with a genuine one (it's a big no no to use third market ones). It was painless and seamless! Super professional and 5 star customer service. I was in and out in about 10 minutes and it didn't cost me anything luckily! Inside is a mini show room with all their products. There are a few chairs spread out for you to sit. Also it's air conditioned inside. The magic actually happens in their back room that you can't go into. But I'm not complaining! Hopefully I don't have to come back anytime soon. But knowing that there's such a fantastic service here locally will probably influence my decisions to continue purchasing Dyson products. read more
