As a woman, I had an issue with auto repair shops seeking to take advantage of me; unfortunately. I've been going for over five years, and Winter and his staff have always provided me sound counsel concerning my car. Of course, there have been times when you are forced to take your car to the dealership because of a special part or some type of recall that only they can do or provide. I was told they were going to put the new tires that I bought from them as my *front 2 tires* When I got home (I live 8 mins away from that place) my dashboard was alerting me that my tire pressure was dropping. I realize my *front passenger tire* air was deflating, it had a nail in it so I went back to address the problem. I was told they didn't have another tire to give me but could give me a discount of $15 and patch the front passenger tire (the tire I bought from them) I then stated I did not pay to get a patched tire (for that I could of had them patch my own tires versus replacing them) which would have cost me $25 to patch. I bought each tire for $75 each!! They said they could put my old tire back on since they did not have one to replace it. I told them to give me a second to figure out what I was going to decide (2 mins later) they magically found a tire to replace the one they had sold me. I leave once again and 20 mins later my *passenger front tire* was airing out slowly, I took it somewhere else and to my surprise it had a nail in it too!!! Coincidence I think not! Clearly we all know what happened. Be careful ladies!!!

I've had my oil change done here in under an hour and now I'm currently having a few filters replaced. I did a walk in around 9:36 AM today (essentially my only free day) which was nice since they really just accommodated based on my scheduling needs. I would recommend paying cash or debit card to prevent Any additionally charges using a credit card. Otherwise, I'm very happy with their customer service, affordability and honesty. Before going I asked for a quote for just the labor to change all breaks and rotors on crossover SUV. They said around $675 only for labor (not parts). It is on the very high end. I decide to take my car since it's nearby. After they finished, they added another $93 to the bill for "fees", totaling the bill before tax at $767 for only labor to change the break pads and rotors. I asked them about the $93 and they said it is for things that we used. But I walked out knowing that I could have gotten this done, for much less somewhere else, I just did not expect the additional $93 because over the phone my agreement with them was $675 total, they gave me their word, but hit me with a $767 bill total without mentioning the $93 fees. I saw it over my phone after I got the bill texted to me. My suggestion is check the price before going and you can be sure that you find cheaper prices if you drive a little further outside of Bethesda. After getting back I got a quote from Jiffy Lube, next to Auto Clinic Care, and they said $1000 for changing all the rotors and pads including the parts and labor. That means Auto Clinic Care ripped me off with $767 for just labor (I supplied all the parts).

The shop will also have a conversation with you about what they've found when doing maintenance, what needs to be addressed today, and what can wait. You can schedule appointments online for oil changes and maintenance. Don't come here if you are looking for a fancy waiting room and shuttle service. Do come here if you want honest service, straight talk, and mechanics who actually care and will fix your issues. I suggest bringing a ride if you can - easiest place to park is to turn to the right immediately after entering the lot and parking on the side, and then walking to the garage. We've had great experience with Hondas and Toyotas.
