He requested, and I sent him, photos of the problem and the model number of the washer. He came to my house with the new part, pulled out the old latch and inserted the new one in about 30 seconds. He charged over $200 for labor for the visit. That seemed crazy but I paid it. He said, "it looks like the hinge of your washer door is about to go, I'll order a new one for you and you'll only pay for the part. I'll install it for free and won't charge you for a second visit." That seemed fair and I agreed. Since then, he has not responded to my texts and voice mail messages. Completely ghosted me.
